Amazing mountain. In summer, there are the options for hikes at the resort itself (closed during summer) and in the Provincial park. Winter you can go skiing, snowboarding, tubing, tobogganing, and snowshoeing at the resort. You can also go snowshoeing in the provincial parks. The resort is family owned amd family friendly, there is also lots of accessible parking. All of the hikes and ski/snowboard runs are beautiful. Would recommend to both locals and tourists.
This is one of the most beautiful places that should be on a “must go” list. When you go, make sure you got the proper shoes because it can be a bit wet and muddy in a summer and slippery during the winter. By the way, this park might still have snow during the summer months:) super gorgeous and breath taking place!
The hike up Mt Seymour is one of my favourite in the North Shore, summer or winter. Amazing views of the mountains and the city from the top. Great spot to watch the sunset and all the city lights come on.
Make sure you are prepared before you come out hiking here. And in winter know that some areas of the park do have avalanche risk! This is real backcountry.
Way less people than Cypress but of course the mountain is smaller compared to Cypress, but I would still highly recommend it as this is the place i first skied at
Foods here are not the best so pack your own lunch before you come
The bunny’s hill here are very friendly to beginners
A steep hike, gives you a great workout! Offers beautiful views of big rocks and mountains. The trail is very rocky, it's a good idea to have a good pair of shoes.
I just love that park. I'll go skiing in the winter, and running / hiking in the summer. Not so easy to access, but once you're there everyone will find something to do, for their level
I did a hike up to the top of Mt. Seymour this past Saturday. There was still a lot of snow and it was a little foggy but it was a nice hike nevertheless:) I'd recommend it but maybe do it earlier in the summer for snowshoeing or later if you don't want large patches of snow.
Amazing Vista points covering almost entire city. Moderate to difficult hike. Be sure to use plenty of sunscreen as you get direct sun exposure for most of the hike.
It's a great please for skiing and snowboarding! How ever rentals are not the best quality.also service is not the best. The shuttle bus that they offer is really cool and easy to take. Great help to get to the mountain. But it's a really good mountain to get started or to get confidence at skiing. I don't do snowboarding, but it looks like a lot of people go there because of the special trails. The views to the city are really worth it. In conclusion I had a great time and experience. Definitely going back!
Love Mt. Seymour for snowshoeing and hikes. The only problem is you have to go very early (like 7 am) if you want to get a parking spot. We went at 11 and we were all turned away because there was no parking, which was a bummer. Fun snowshoe trails though, so worth setting your alarm early! I actually learned how to snowboard on this mountain a couple years ago and really enjoyed the lesson.
Well. The ski slumped the snow. I guess it fell at a stretch. I wonder if the grass below is the problem. Tentatively, the third one does not work today. What will happen from tomorrow. # flasback
We love Mt Seymore it is a beautiful park during all seasons. There are alot of activities to do year round. From hiking to cycling to skiing and snowboarding to tobogganing and snowshoeing. It is pet friendly, so long as you are activities responsible pet owner. My only beef is with the people who use the mountain, specifically in winter - it is snowing and icy, use winter tires so you don't get stuck and delay everyone else's enjoyment. Go prepared and you should be able to have a fantastic time!
Nice local ski hill. Best bang for the buck, but not the most difficult terrain on the shore. Easy access to skiing and snowshoeing (hiking in the summer) by car. Great time for locals or visitors.
What can I say, we live in one of the best places in the world. Unreal mountain bike trails, running and hiking, skiing in the winter, all a few minutes from downtown.
I loved the free trails we snowshoed on. There's a bus you can grab (you pay, but it's not expensive) if your cart doesn't have winter tires or you just don't want to drive.
