Mount View Motel

John is amazing! There are 7 Units. Clean, newly renovated, fridge, stove, toaster, microwave. Dishes available, keurig machine for your morning coffee, and a small deck table with 2 chairs outside your room. There is enough light from the porch light to be able to read, it was raining last night as I was reading, and enjoying a local wine. I did not get wet as the overhang seemed to be the perfect size. I will absolutely be planning a vacation to stay in the area next year and will be staying here for a week. If you drive by, curb appeal may not be the best, but I guarantee you once you're checked in you will love the units.

Clean, quiet rooms. Decent location, very close to centre of town. Owner John is very friendly and outgoing. The only concern that I would have is that I saw ashtrays on some of the seating areas outside the rooms. The rooms themselves are non-smoking but a smoker outside could be a problem but we did not experience that ourselves.

I’ve been coming here since i was a kid, previous owners are way more welcoming then the new one! Angry at the questions we would ask, very grumpy! WILL NOT COME BACK!

Called me “Princess” in a derogatory way, because I had been trying to get confirmation of my booking by email and phone. Very hard to reach.
Ended up being a miscommunication on dates, and he chewed me out for it. In actuality, if he had just answered my emails or calls, it would have been clarified before it became a problem.

Just over all rude to me, and my friend who is also a female.
Other female travellers, be wary.

Owner cornered me and berated me and tried to intimidate / scare me because I slept in both beds in my suite. He did not tell me beforehand that one bed was off limits, he just didn’t want to clean the extra bed.
So just know that the owner of this hotel gets an ego trip out of intimidating young women, and doesn’t always clean the beds between stays

This is my go to place to stay in Oliver. The owner is always doing something to make it great and you can tell that a lot of care is put into his business.
Clean, updated and comfy - not to mention affordable!

Wonderful little place. Tastefully renovated. Thoughtful equipped. Surprisingly quiet for being on Main street. Reasonably priced. Close to all the wineries around. A great alternative to the chain hotels in nearby towns.

Very nice motel, I thought by the price it would be your typical cheap motel, but this one was extremely clean! My room had a kitchenette for only 79$. My friend and I were pleasantly surprised, there was a cute little table above it a funky red lamp that hung above the table. You can tell the interior was up dated, and the owners put care into it. Overall it was a great stay I'd definitely come here again if I'm in that neck of the woods!

The owner here discriminates and is really rude. He always has the no vacancy sign up, regardless of being full or not so that he can say no to whoever he decides to judge. He has a terrible attitude.

Not really as clean as it should have been. Restaurant was strange, it only seemed to have one staff member.

Rooms are clean and recently refurbished. AC is new. Owner is super friendly and great sense of humor. Would come back in a heartbeat! Thanks for having us.

Very well renovated rooms that are clean and stocked for using the kitchenette. Happy for the air conditioning and comfortable pillows and beds. Very friendly staff, accommodating and affordable. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

We were in a pinch looking for a motel late in the evening and I had left a message at Mount View motel, John returned my call and held a room for us. We were very impressed by the room and the extras little touches. Very clean, modern and quiet as well as reasonably priced given it was a long weekend. John, the owner is very proud of his establishment and it shows. We will definitely be booking a room there next summer and make the area a holiday destination

The only thing I did not like seems to be the norm for the area. The check out times have been set as 10 am. Otherwise this motel was very nice to spend the night in. Although not in Osoyoos it's close enough that you can still spend the entire day at the lake and go back to your Motel for rest. If you are trailering a boat or uhaul or otherwise there is no parking.

This motel is newly renovated with comfortable beds and impeccably clean! The owner is very proud of his property and it shows. If you're staying in Oliver, you can not go wrong picking this winner!

Great little motel. The owner was very attentive and the room has almost full set for a functional kitchen. Felt like staying at home. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area.

Great little place! Came down for a cycling adventure and was overly impressed with both the accommodations and the service! John is fantastic and has done great work on the place. Looking forward to visiting again!

We were very nicely surprised by the room (almost an apartment!) and the owner. Well equipped with more things I could imagine, it's perfect to be your center of activities if you go for several days to explore the surroundings. Very personal, friendly approach. I would give six stars!

It's quaint clean newly renovated and the owner is very friendly. They are rooms with kitchenettes great for longer stays I found it a bit pricey for an over night stay.

It's a great little place to stay. Great price. Easy to walk to No Friils for groceries etc. Clean, comfortable bed. Best pillows; no neck pain in the morning. Kitchenette is a bonus! Not bothered by any noise except in the morning, but have to get up anyway. Recommend.
