I wish this one has 0️ so I could donate it to because of worst customer service in the t city, I took my Golden 4 times for same problem and spent lots of money and still dealing with it, and before you ask why I keep going back, all her episodes happened at midnight and I thought since they already dealt with this situation maybe this time they will fix it, anyway silly me.
Yesterday the dr called to tell me about culture test result, I did told her that my dog is still in pain and we’re running out of the pain killers she prescribed, she told me to come by and said she will set aside another prescription for me to pick up. I called the hospital tonight at around GT 5 pm and asked about the refill, my dog has started panting and I could see the pain already started. After a little back and forth the receptionist admitted she did find doctor’s note and she will let the current resident dr know about it.
I went there around 8: 30 pm, and the receptionist acted like it’s her first time hearing about it and she told me I should sit down until the doctor visits all the patients!

I told her everything is already settled, you saw doctor’s note, I don’t know how long is going to take for the resident doctor to put 4 pills in bag? She told me this is emergency hospital and are we not supposed to give you refills and then I reminded her I am just here as per dr order and if she has any problems she should talk with the doctor, anyway after 40 minutes waiting, I told her I will come back at midnight for pills, she told me if I were you I would call before I came, then I got angry and said are you telling me that between now and midnight, doctor doesn't have time to put four pills in a bag for my dog, who is suffering from pain?
Interestingly, nobody was there! When I brought it up she told me we have 10 patients at back and if you want to do it faster bring your dog here!
(If the pay for the dr visit was that important, she could have asked me).

I am absolutely disappointed. None of this was necessary. I was just there to pick up painkillers as per doctor’s note! But somehow they failed to provide service.
It’s 11: 39pm still no call from hospital.
Let’s hope nothing bad happens to my dog tonight.

My cat, Mozie, started to decline rapidly a few weeks ago and we took her to Mountainside. Everyone at the hospital was so kind and empathetic, and even changed the playlist in the lobby when Celine Dion’s “all by myself” came on. Mozie passed two days after our appointment, and I am so thankful to have been able to spend her last hours by her side. The staff even sent me a card after her passing (with a very impressive drawing of Mozie I may add). Thank you Mountainside

My dog was in pain and that’s why we took her to emergency. First wait for 5 minutes to get into the building and in the building we sat 70 minutes and no one cared about us. There was a girl as a receptionist who was there for 10 minutes and she mentioned DR. S are changing shifts and this shift and 70 minutes we didn’t see not only a dr but also the receptionist! Is it called emergency? !

If I could leave 0 stars I would. My dog ingested a 50mg gravol pill so my vet advised me that the dose is toxic for his size and to bring him to emerg. They then took him in and looked at him just to tell me they don’t actually know if it’s toxic or not and to call poison control which is $122 CAD. She then told me $150 for her exam. I get to the front and they told me $195. I’m not sure why I wasn’t advised upon arrival to call poison control first if they didn’t have the info on if it’s toxic or not. I could have called poison control and dealt with this at home because they told me I could safely monitor at home.

We went to Mountainside after our furry friend Boston terrier "Elvis" got run over by a car. Elvis received all the support and first aid that was needed to make him stable on life support and critical care provided by Mountainside Animal Hospital Team.
After making him stable they referred us to Canada West and we took him there. We are lucky that Elvis made it and is well now because of the timely critical care provided by Mountainside team and the timely recommendation provided.
Thank you team Mountainside you folks are awesome.

I highly recommend Mountainside Animal Hospital. They take the time to really listen and are very knowledgeable. Never rushed, always stay with you for a long time and do a thorough job. Great vets and friendly Staff. My go too place if I have an issue with my animals.

Thank you for taking extra gentle care of my Ruby who had a UTI. Veterinarian Dr Tomas Homer was exceptionally helpful, kind, patient, and informative. Ruby says thanks, too!

Great experience! I brought my pup here after he suffered an eye injury. The staff were extremely friendly and professional. Dr. Park was very thorough and the vet tech did an awesome job explaining the various medications that my dog will need. Even the price was very reasonable for an after-hours emergency visit! I would highly recommend them!

Took an stray dog in today. No questions asked. They welcomed him and said thank you to us. Couldn't ask for a better experience. If only they could pick him up too, but no big deal!

I’m a veterinarian myself, and my dog required emergency care that the clinic where I work could not provide. My experience experience at Mountainside with new Medical Director Dr. Harry Cozens and visiting endoscopist Dr. Eugene Gorodetsky and the staff was so caring and accommodating, and met my pup’s complex medical needs. Highly recommend!

Hands down the best experience. Dr. Courtney and her team is absolutely amazing. I have a Siberian husky with terrible eating habits. She ate a silicon reusable bag and we took her here and they were so helpful and kind.
I’ve taken my dog to two other hospitals + vets for things and hands down one of the most loveliest experiences. The place is so clean and nice. The Dr was so informative and lovely, she really cares and was super personable which is so amazing especially when you’re in stressful situations with your animal.

I was hesitant to take my dog here not because it had bad reviews or anything but it’s just scary to take your dog somewhere new. If I ever need to take her to an emergency again, definitely will be here again.

And the prices aren’t that bad! One of the most responsible consultation fee and prices for services, (this is coming from someone that has spent ALOT of money on my husky for ER’s)

Anyways! HIGHLY recommend

Expensive and far, but worth it.

The people who work there are very kind and gentle. They talk softly and calm to your pets and treat them like people. Very appreciative, because my pet is terrified of strangers.

The environment is very clean and serene, which again is good for people and animals who are nervous and have anxiety.

Lucky for me, my pet just had a stomach bug but I had to shell out a week's worth of wages. But I was extremely impressed. They sent me a few resources after my visit for new foods with a written recap of my cats issues for reference. I found this very useful.

Also, free coffee.

Excellent service, arrived middle of the night with my dog. Friendly staff and quick service looking after her right away. Thanks again.

Called ahead after my dog ate some nuts and they were extremely helpful on the phone and all of the staff very friendly when we got there in the middle of the night. The vet took his time with our pup and explained everything upfront including expected cost. The lady at the front desk had impressive knowledge and advice. Over all had a very good experience for our first emergency visit!

Special shout out to Dr. Taylor Whitcombe, Karla and Soroud who worked on Christmas Day. Cant thank you enough for your kindness, expertise and understanding. I would highly recommend Mountainside in an emergency.

Had a really great experience! Super friendly staff! Brought my dog in because she ate a whole container of crispy fried onions. They gave me a lot of information on what they recommend, the best options and they even went through the risks, which non of my vets have ever done when it came to medications and procedures. Educating your patients is key! Dr. Parsons was very thorough and treated Miso with so much care. We were in and out within and hour with a bill much cheaper than expected! I also like that she didn’t push any unnecessary X-rays or blood work, for what was needed to be done for the situation. Highly recommend! Thank you for taking care of my child!

Dr. Parsons was very friendly and her demeanour made me feel completely comfortable leaving my cat in their care. Truly appreciate how she explained everything to me and helped me understand the tests and their results.

We had a great experience here! Dr. Courtney and her team were wonderful with my reactive and scared of people dog. Thanks for taking such good care of him and being so accommodating!

Our little Scooby had a fall and the vet took us in right away to check him. Very kind care from all of the staff.

Awful clinic - suggested putting our dog down because they couldn’t understand what was going on - avoid avoid avoid

I went there to look for help because I got bear spray in my eyes and it was the closest place and I was in a very bad way and a lot of pain, they didn't bother to take a look or do something.
They refused to help.

This place is not cheap. Although I must admit that it is expected as it must be expensive to run this large facility fully staffed 24/7.

I had the unfortunate experience of bring my beloved dog in here last Tuesday. The vet was quickly able to tell me he had a mass on his spleen and would need surgery or euthanasia.

Instead of taking all my money and doing the surgery they referred me to Canada West who had the blood incase a transfusion was needed and had the machines to do further testing to see if we could spot cancer spreading before doing the surgery.

I would like to thank them for this, I have met other vets in the past who would have happily taken my money with out referring me to another facility.

The Vet Techs working that night we're also very kind and caring.

Unfortunately, the data from Canada West did show that teddy most likely had cancer and I opted out of the surgery and he is now no longer with us. I miss him immensely.

I had to use this vet a year ago. I had a situation where three of my dogs got sick within 24 hours. I dealt with three different vets but unfortunately I don’t recall their names. I dropped two of my dogs off at 3 am. Two of my dogs were evaluated and medicated and sent home and my third dog had to stay the night. I was so happy with the service I was provided and how lovely and informative the vets were with me and my dogs. I remember crying on the phone with one of the vets and she was so lovely and consoling. My one dog who had to say overnight was not eating “dog food”. So the vet allowed me to drop off home cooked food my dog was accustomed to and it worked she finally ate. I honestly had such a traumatizing experience with my three dogs being sick at the same time and it brings tears to my eyes on how I was treated. I would rate this place 10 stars if I could. Thank you so much for everything you did for me and my babies. I am so happy we have this type of service (24/7) on north shore. I hope no one has to use a 24/7 vet but if you do I highly recommend this place!

Totally amazing from my first phone call on the long weekend. The 2 Natalies at the front desk were extremely kind.
Dr. Allison gave us great information on our dog who has cancer. We thought his time was up, but no.
Lots of advice on how to continue to care for him.
The bill was the total surprise at how reasonable it was.
Will definitely come back.
Thank you

We had an amazing experience here. Much like the emergency department/room for humans, if you have to wait, it’s a good sign you/your pet is healthy enough to wait. Unfortunately for my pet, she was in severe respiratory distress and the triage team did amazing at getting her seen by them immediately. The waiting room is delightful with free wifi, water, coffee & a restroom. It’s a clean facility. Parking is great. It’s easy to get too and from (we were only in Canada for a few days before needing to arrive here). We were greeted with efficient and friendly staff. The Vet’s gave us twice daily updates on our pet in great detail. Thank you team?

Dr. Parsons was so kind and reassuring, she made a very scary night for us and our dog much more bearable. Thank you to Dr. Parsons and the rest of the friendly staff we spoke with!

We had an accident with a bear spray in the Capilano ravine, my friend could not see anything at all, we asked for help and they did not give us any support.
30 July 2022 10:46
Probably fine if you have a dog, just don't take your cat (s)! It's a long story but if you value your time at all, go somewhere else. Healthy looking dogs seen before our BLEEDING cat. Walked out after waiting over 3 hours. Neither receptionist said a word to us, as we were leaving. Would leave 0 stars if I could.

This was the nearest medical facility by far, after a horrible accident on June 28th 2022 at around 6.30 am whilst running in the local ravine.
Following a fall one of our athletes was exposed to bear spray at point blank range when a full can which was in his hand ruptured when he fell.
He experienced great distress with the possibility of severe injury so I sought assistance at Mountainside Animal Hospital, astonishingly we were turned away, they declined to help at all.
It’s no wonder they have the lowest rating in the lower mainland.
I will never use this company under any circumstances, it was a truly hideous experience, turned away with an injured friend, he could have been blinded permanently.
Literally anyone else would have tried to assist.
There was no medical concern, empathy or compassion at the time, the incident was not handed over or reported either…. Overall less than one star.
I am sure that all of the staff there would have been utterly appalled if they were in a position requiring immediate assistance, only to be turned away.
The manager crafted a syrupy reply however the fact remains that we live in Vancouver and left the clinic time was of the essence. As I stated, the manager had no idea there had been an incident.
