MountainView Hotel Merritt

Tried it for the first time last week and have to say I didn't like it very much. Staff was nice and friendly but the place is old creeky and shows it's age wherever you look. The bed and pillows where very uncomfortable (bed too soft pillows too hard). Continental breakfast was, Don't even know what to say. Won't be back here again.

The hotel was very nice clean the house did a very well job BUT I did have a hard time with the man at the counter for registering I had asked him several times to turn the air conditioner on from you cuz I did not know how when you pay $160 and night for one room you should be able to get some sort of that was the only problem I had he absolutely did not want to do it

An older hotel being refurbished. Beds so comfy! Towels thick and fluffy! Terrific staff! Great water pressure in shower. Excellent price! Not a huge breakfast selection, but we all found food that fueled us for the morning. Was it fancy, no. Functional, yes! No workout room, pool and hot tub not working during our stay.

Stopped here on our trip from Vancouver. The Service was amazing as well as the rooms were very clean and way better than the Ramada next door as we had stayed there on our way towards Vancouver. Totally recommend, the staff was great, check in and check out was very convenient. Breakfast was also great as they had Waffles and Muffins, hands down better than the Ramada which is right next door. We wanted to use the hot tub in the morning but it wasn’t on yet, the staff was very kind and offered to start it right away. 100% worth staying here!

The place is nice & clean. Perfect for a nights rest. Anil, helped us get a room late at night and we are VERY grateful, great work! Thanks!

Super clean hotel with very comfy beds, and fantastic waffles at the free breakfast. Perhaps the best thing about it was the staff, Anil was very upbeat, personable and very accommodating. He is very interested in connecting with guests and making sure they have a great stay and is invested in making your stay great He is definitely a people person! Anil also remembers you and your conversations to offer a great experience! I also have chronic pain in my shoulders and usually have issues with pain from sleeping but the beds were so comfortable that I woke up completely pain free! Definitely worth the stay if you are in Merritt!

The staff here is super friendly & helpful. This is an older hotel, the rooms are average.
The complimentary breakfast bar had cereals, muffins, toasts, waffles, all sorts of juices & yogurts from 6am to 9am.
They also have a pool and hot tub.

Great place to stay; updated rooms (This century!), older building. Quiet, clean, no elevator; but we could all use a little exercise. Bringing my dogs next time as they are allowed. Central to everything we needed to do in Merritt.
Very accommodating staff.
Loved the waffle maker in the dining room for the complimentary breakfast.

Hands down the rudest service I've received at a hotel. And I've spent over 1000 nights in hotels over the last decade. Stay anywhere but here.

Great value and the staff were really friendly. The building is a bit old but the rooms were overall clean. The bed was comfy and the shower faucet pressure was strong enough. We can hear some noise from upstairs / neighbouring rooms but it was not a huge issue for us.
Free breakfast included DIY waffles, bread, baked goods, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, coffee, and drinks.

Bed was comfy and room was clean. When i left a review the front desk guy asked me to edit it or delete it at 7am (wasn’t even awake yet), your pool area is absolutely disgusting and I’m not going to change my review, ppl review there honest opinions so that there can be some changes and to warn others. In my opinion I would stay at the Ramada next door

Best value in town, and great place to stay. I have been here a couple times. Always super friendly staff when you arrive. Rooms are BIG, and clean. Nice touches like duvets and computer/phone plug on bedside table. I will always stay here.

The room was incredibly comfortable. Perfect temperature and quiet. The bed was comfortable and firm. We slept great!
Esthetically it could use some refreshing but don't let that stop you from a great stay at a decent price!

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the view out the window was gorgeous, the tv was smart and a cinch to connect to my own streaming sites, and the continental breakfast was delicious (I love the waffle maker!)

The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable despite some stains on the rug

NOT clean AT all, brown/green stuff covering the bathroom walls, water wouldn’t get hot, tub wouldn’t plug for bath water, floors and beds are gross. Tv wouldn’t work and had to get replaced. They charged us for days we weren’t even there and said to “cancel or check out” of a room you need to give 3 days notice. Such a joke. The staff were completed rude when bringing up being over charged when it was a multiple week stay for work. Was told the room would be cleaned multiple times and maybe got cleaned 2 or 3 times in multiple weeks.

Working on the highway, staying 2 weeks at a time, Super friendly front desk staff, clean room, mini fridge, microwave, cable tv, comfy uren bed and a pull out couch.
Great rates, never made it to the breakfast room as i leave the hotel at 4: 30am every morning, will definitely stay again.thankyou:)

Let's just say, I wouldn't walk anywhere in the room without shoes on. The entire building is cold and unclean. I would give it 1 star but the staff was nice. Not to sound mean, but that place should be demolished and replaced. Sorry, Mountain View.

Booked here when the connector had closed late at night. On Christmas Eve. Upon check in the clerk attempted to charge us $100 when the online price was $79, when we asked why he advised if we are paying cash it’s more money. When we asked why again he stated he had no change. We paid $91 exact cash. On Expedia it states cash a accepted something the clerk said is not true. We got to our room, it was NOT CLEAN. There were crumbs in the bed and fresh stains on the sheets. The clerk then moved us to another room across the hall. He had gone home for the night when I noted the floor was not vacuumed and the bathroom was not cleaned. I have all photographers that I provided him on check out. He attempted to cut me off multiple times and brush off my concerns about hygiene at this motel and how no one has checked that a room is actually clean. He was quite disrespectful to me. I had to ask him to stop cutting me off mid sentence and that there is no excuse for BOTH rooms to be dirty upon our check in. Had we known we would have stayed elsewhere. I don’t expect much for the price but I do expect the basic cleanliness.

Says 79$ and wants to charge 300.00 $ asked if she told us a price yet? My friend Saud no so took the opertunity to try and scam more cash off us
