Kayaked to Solander Island during a month long Brooks expedition in 1990.
This a wondrous and wild coast.fossil encrusted islands, heavenly coves laced with waterfalls and primordial bonsai, white sand beaches and prolific wildlife.
We hunkered down for a 2 day storm that produced mountainous seas and waterspouts.
Sadly, the roar of chainsaws and scenes of vast forest destruction often spoiled the magic.
We hope that wanton destruction has been halted!
