Mr. Bro Korean bistro & Izakaya

The servers are friendly and the atmosphere of the store is nice, but do they send the food out from the kitchen without even tasting it?

Two people ordered $100 worth of food and there was barely any food left to touch. It's really wasted food that doesn't even have the basics, it's serious.

This is the first time I've seen a restaurant like this in Vancouver.

I usually come here with friends all the time. The atmosphere is cheery and the food is super good! I love ordering their tteokbokki, it's honestly my fav place in all of richmond. Today I ordered super super late, like five minutes from closing late (I'm so sorry!) but they still gave me a little gift! It's so sweet of them, it made me really happy!

If any of the Mr. Bro staff are reading this, thank you so much and I wish all of you a happy new year

First time being here, small portions and taste salty. The beef soup are bad, also they doesn't have traditional Korean little dishes, a little disappointing

I place an order through uber eats and they did not pack an utensils. When I called I was told eat hot.soup.with the hands

WAY overpriced. WAY overrated. Wanted tea when asked tea or water and we got hot water‍
Basic ingredients at luxury prices. Server put the spicy squid soup on the table and walked away. Had to call her back to ask do we place it on the stove?
Spicy squid soup was barely spicy and tasteless. Looks better than it tastes.
Looks were definitely deceiving!

In this day and age, in Canada, they don't accept credit card.never have encountered such problem in anywhere I've been in the world.only in Richmond BC.

The best Korean food in Richmond I would say! I couldn’t eat spice but I love the ramen with rice cake. The cheese egg roll is always my favourite, though I think they could add a bit more cheese inside. We also got one seafood pancake which was incredibly crispy. We were too eager to have a bit so we didn’t take the photo of it.
We were here on Monday night around 7: 30 and there was no line-up.
Been there few times, everything is pretty delicious.

Ordered with ubereats, soup and grilled fish, didn't come with any side dishes (some korean restaurants don't give you side dishes unless you pay, oh well let go this part) my soup didn't come with rice, very disappointed. Now I need to cook rice and thinking what was the point ordering online. I will be my first and last time ordering from here

Upon entering, I sat down, and ordered the Seafood Pancake and Syrup beverage, I felt at home.

Casual fun atmosphere with kpop music video on the tv. Service was very friendly. My dish didn’t have the best quality meat in it and I was disappointed by the lack of Korean side dishes (banchan). But overall decent food.

We were told to write our name and phone number and wait for the table, we waited for about 45min not called in, then saw customers coming after us getting seated, when asked they told us that they forgot about us, I don't know how long a would have waited if I didn't check in, otherwise the food was good

We got lost because we didn’t know how to find the restaurant haha. The only way up through the car park or up a dodgy lift.
Food is authentic, tasty and affordable. Loved it.
Recommend getting the ramen in spicy!

Rice cakes and egg omelet were delicious! Kimchi side dish tasted stale and was bland, and kimchi fried rice was cheese was also bland. There wasn't very much kimchi flavor. The cheese inside was good though.

Great food, decent price. Only losing 1-star due to cleanliness, but otherwise would definitely recommend.

Standouts would be the beef tartare and kimchi fried rice. Everything else was solid. Skewers were a bit on the sweet side.

We visited on Saturday around 5: 30. Honestly, food was amazing in here! However, service wise, it’s a bit disappointing.

Don’t get fooled by their rating. It’s totally a 0 star restaurant. No pan beef in Korean restaurant? The rice is pretty hard, like overnight rice.

Very strong smell in this place. Worst Korean restaurant I ever been.

The server don’t even know what she’s doing, I ask her if they have Pan Beef, she point her finger on the pan pork and tell me that’s beef.

No Kimchi no service no everything. And long waiting for the meal, they focus on delivery orders, I wish I could give $0 tips

I went with my friends and we ordered the kimchi fried rice with cheese, buddae jiggae, tteokbokki with cheese, japchae, and fried chicken with soy sauce and they were all delicious! 10/10 would come here again and recommend to people. That's it, that's the review. Please enjoy my mediocre photos and admire that cheese string, haha

I was expecting a little more in general, but the food was good and service was ok. The only thing that was above and beyond was the soy sauce fried chicken. Absolutely delicious!

Amazing. The owner was so kind and welcoming, apologizing for the wait (on a Saturday night - so we weren’t worried in the first place!), and shouted us a round of drinks

The food is perfect; some of the best Korean food I’ve had outside of Korea. The 치즈떡볶이 (cheese ddukbokki) was especially stellar.

This was our second visit (we live out of town) and we’ll definitely be back!

I don’t usually leave reviews but the owners/chefs are some really good people. One of our orders was late and the owner was so sincere and apologized for it taking so long and even offered it on the house! The servers were nice and helpful too and the food was great. Honestly some top of the line customer service. Will definitely be coming back again!

The owner is one of the best people I’ve met. While we were waiting, a group of customers paid their bills and didn’t leave for 30 mins after they’re done eating. And when they finally left the owner felt so guilty and he offered us a dish for free and he refused to take our tips too at the end, he apologized and were so nice to us when it’s not even his fault. Honestly exceptional customer service and all the dishes that we ordered was simply amazing. Would recommend this place to everyone I know.

Good authentic food and good vibes. Place can get busy on weekend so reservation is recommended. My fav.here are squid/seafood hotpot (soup), japchae, tteokbokki with cheese!

Excellent lunch combos delicious food, but 1 star off for furniture maintenance (?). The bench we sat on was not secured to its legs and the built in drawer for utensils was wobbly and is about to fall apart at any moment

Had a stunning experienceat Mr. Bro. Their food tasted amazing and the servers were nice and caring. Mr. Bro is a must-visit for Korean cuisine in Richmond!

I ordered Kimchi okonomiyaki, fried shrimps and Bulgogi pot. The food is very delicious and very clean. If you are looking for a delicious Korean bistro, I highly recommend Mr. Bro. It definitely deserves a detour!

My group made reservations for a table and was asked for exact number of people which we provided. Restaurant overbooked themselves and seated walk-in customers without honouring our reservation. Why would you take walk-in customers when you already have a full group waiting for tables? Also no concrete answer given, telling us to wait just tell us you cant serve us because you guys messed up and we’ll be happy to leave. Wasted our time waiting around and decided to eat elsewhere.

Very poor management did not bother to inform the prior group who sat over a long period of time that other customers are waiting for a table.

Great service, great food and great drinks, with an extremely reasonable price. Would highly recommend the yogurt soju.

Ordered two lunch specials. The cold noodle came with grilled beef, which came in a small iron plate. The kimchi side dish and the grilled beef tasted better than the actual entree, where the noodles clumped together and sauce was diluted. A bit expensive for what you get.
