Multiple vegan/vegetarian options. Had the tofu katsu curry ($14) which was an easy 10/10. Highly recommend the place!

A small cozy japanese curry restaurant. They have a wide range of options for curry. Choose the sauce, choose the amount of rice, choose the spice level, sauce level and the toppings. Reminded me of curry shops in Japan. I will definitely visit more often

This restaurant offers large curries with a lot of food for their price point (enough sauce for the 400g/500g rice upgrade) and you can get one large meal or two light meals in one order! The flavours are authentic and delicious as well! I love that you can make a custom curry and would highly recommend their pumpkin topping; it was easily one of the best veg options. I'd love to come back and try dining in.

This is one of our favourite places to eat for Japanese curry katsu. I ordered the chicken katsu and if you’re like me and appreciate spicy curry, I recommend to get level 3 spice. Try level 4 for a challenge. There is a charge for the spice level (0.20 for level 3 and 0.40 for level 4). The dish comes with rice, a slab of katsu chicken sitting in curry sauce. They’ve also sprinkled crispy onions on top of the rice to taste. They allocated the spice in the curry sauce as well under the slices of chicken. I didn’t see this until after I had eaten half of the dish. The katsu was fresh and crispy. Combined with the spicy curry sauce, it is the perfect comfort food on a cold evening.

This restaurant require that you order and pay before taking a seat. Customers are asked to grab napkins and cutlery from a small organizer located between the bar height window seats and the inside tables. The dish was served on a stainless steel plate on a black tray with a glass of water. The lady running the register was the same that served us.

The restaurant is quite small. They have 4 tables that can seat 8 couples or combine 2 tables for 2 groups of 4. There are also 3 seats by the window. In the summer, they have 2 additional tables outside the restaurant as well. Feel free to leave your dishes for them to collect. There is a little station adjacent to the register where you can bring your tray for them to sort and take to the kitchen.

If you’re dining in be prepared to walk out smelling like food. Fried food is their specialty of course and it is a small space.

Really off the beaten path this 10 seater place is not high end, but a super authentic Japanese curry experience. It really took me back to my year in Japan with so many small places cooking excellent food. Glad we found it.

The customer service is great. The staff are friendly.
The food was normal.
The space is pretty small.
Pricing is reasonable.

The street parking is very hard to find.

I had a very nice experience at this little Japanese curry shop! They have lots of options (multiple vegan options) and the curries are highly customizable so you can really build your ideal meal. I particularly like that you can adjust the amount of rice and that you can change the sauce, so it would theoretically be possible to get a seafood curry with the vegan base instead of the default chicken bass so you could have a true pescatarian curry.
I went with the vegetable curry and enjoyed it a lot! The gravy was richly flavoured but smooth, and I liked the assortment of vegetables. I’m not a frequent consumer of Japanese curry but this was probably the best one I’ve tried - something about the sauce was very memorable. I also tried their matcha tiramisu which was also pretty good, which you might not expect from a little curry restaurant! It seems like they used a good matcha - the flavour was strong but not bitter. This was all quite reasonably priced - the total was about $18 including tax.
Along with the good food, the staff was very hospitable. They provided me with a glass of water and were very eager to help me feel comfortable. Although it looks like mostly a takeout place, the dine-in experience is pleasant since the staff is so nice and you can get your food on an actual plate instead of a takeout container. Very much recommend for some good Japanese curry!

Pumpkin Croquettes are good and they have big serving for rice. Although it wasn't spicy when I asked for level 3, but can see the chili powder tho. This place is good but I think they need to add more vents/exhaust fan, you may want to bring extra shirt.

Best Japanese curry in town! I love chicken katsu curry with chicken curry sauce. It’s tasty, crispy chicken and yummy sauce. So amazing! This restaurant is quite small but I like the mood here like I’m in Japan. This is my 6th time. Must try!

This place serves by far the best Japanese curry in Vancouver. Been coming here for a long time for lunch take out - it was one of my highlights every week during the early Covid days when a lot of places were closed. Highly recommend the pumpkin croquettes and the beef curry sauce. ごちそうさまでした！

Extremely welcoming staff, big and tasty portions, but not that much space to sit inside. On one hand it makes the place very cozy, but on the other - might cause a line to appear at busy hours.
Overall very satisfied, will come again.

This is one of our favourite take out spots in our neighbourhood! We eat here often and it’s a fantastic take out option! The service is great, the employees are really friendly, and of course the food is delicious!

One of my favourite places to eat Japanese curry (Chicken katsu, Tonkatsu and beef - my favourites) I love the curry sauce, it’s the best curry sauce I ever tasted so far. Very friendly cashier and got my food quickly. 10/10, would definitely go back.

This place is THE best place for katsu curry in Vancouver! Such a cute low key place, with limited seating but the food is out of this world! So tasty! They do vegan options, the tofu katsu is my favorite. Fully customizable menu so you can choose how much rice and curry sauce etc.

I found level 3 not very spicy.

Had beef curry and added vegetables as an extra topping Partner had tonkatsu curry and the meat was beautifully cooked, crispy outside, juicy inside.

Suggest to go for a walk after, I found portion generous.

Great food! Spicy level 4 could have been more spicy! Very fast and friendly service! The only thing is portion is a little bit small (or i’m just hungry for more curry!) & ventilation - we went there for dine in and the amazing food smell stays in my clothes and jacket. Anyway will definitely coming back for togo!

I had the beef curry and chicken katsu curry. Best Japanese curry in Canada I had! Brings back the time when I had it in Japan. I will order the beef curry again.

I've walked by here so many times and just tried it now. WOW. It's so good. I got the Stamina Curry. For my palate, the balance of spicy (Level 3), sweet and savoury was on point. It's the perfect food boost to keep me going on longer work days. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu!

Maybe a change in management, but i got half the curry they usually give. Sad. Loved this place before.

I heard a lot of good things about this place and I wanted to check it out. The restaurant was pretty small but when I went, it wasn't too busy so I was able to get a seat. The cashier was really helpful in helping me choose a curry and I ended up getting the pork katsu curry. The curry was really done well and the katsu was nice and crispy. Overall, decent value for what you're paying and the restaurant were nice. Would recommend trying it out if you like Japanese curries!

Been missing japanese (non sushi) places since leaving Toronto and this little place fills that void perfectly, very nice and polite staff, fast service even when overcrowded w orders and tasty food, tried about 3 items I think! Love coming here multiple times a month.

Chicken curry is quite good and I recommend it, while beef curry is less rich in flavor, and tastes like hayashi rice. Both are a bit sweet for me.

I finally tried this place over the weekend after walking past many times. If I feel like a chicken katsu curry I usually go to Saku.
The curry was good, a little more fruity/sweet than I’ve had in the past. I would have given four stars but while the chicken cutlet was nicely seasoned and friend, they left the skin on under the breading which I really did not care for. If they’d add a skinless chicken cutlet to the menu it would make all the difference.

Affordable and delicious tofu katsu. Tofu was crispy on the outside, and fresh on the inside. Price was ~$12, which is reasonable, in this central location. Servings were rather big, with a lot of rice, creamy vegetarian curry and large rectangles of tofu. All in, really satisfying. I opted to add the pumpkin croquette, which was quite delicious and sweet.

This place is great! The curry has a great texture, consistency and spice level for everybody. We got the tofu and vegetarian and in must say the vegetable were not over cooked, the tofu crispy on the outside and fresh and soft on the inside. The miso had a great fishy taste but not overpowering. The matcha dessert was not too sweet which added a nice touch. The presentation needs to improve, thus the food is amazing! Highly recommended as confort food

The best, most authentic Japanese curry you can get in Vancouver. I used to live in Japan, and the food, service, and atmosphere take me right back. This is easily one of my favourite places in the city 上手

I haven't been to Japan since a couple of years and since then I have been craving for some Japanese curry. A friend of mine recommended me this place to go eat for the night and I was 100% down for it.
Cashier was nice, helped my friends out since they didn't know what they wanted. I ordered a pork katsu curry and extra curry sauce. It hit the curry craving spot I had. Definitely would go again if I am in the area.

Not a fan of spicy food. But all the great reviews got the better of me. Tried the mild Tonkatsu Chicken Curry and found it way too spicy.

Sweating profusely through your meal is not enjoyable. Also shouldn’t have ordered extra rice. The portion that came with the meal was more than enough.

The food is probably great for anyone who enjoys spicy meals. It’s just not for me.

The varieties of curry, they each have a lot of depth. So tasty! I appreciate that they are not overly sweet. Excellent service too.
