Mr Pets have always been very helpful w recommendations suggestions on food options for our dog. They also typically have our dogs go to food in stock. Prices are good selection is great. A loyalty program of some sort would be great to see.

Excellent store for all your pets needs, I'm into tarantulas and was able to easily acquire items for a new and complete T habitat. Great staff and very helpful

Store has various animals feeds but not a lot of bully sticks to choose from. Hopefully next time!

A nice surprise was how clean and easy to use is their "bath-station". I love the convenience!

Amazing pet store!
the staff have good knowledge of what the pets they are selling need, and lots of selection. They keep there bettas in tanks instead of cups, which tells me that they care about there animals and not just business. I have bought many fish, frogs, snails, and shrimp from here and I highly recommend going there to buy your pets and supplies!

Claire was the best costumer service i’ve ever got! She helped getting my fish settled in the best possible way. I’m so happy with my new pets and it’s all thanks to Claire.

It is hit and miss with these guys. Sometimes great service and sometimes, well, totally opposite.

Lots of stock, friendly knowledgeable staff. Local, cool feel, not corporate. Pricing is very competitive.

The young man in the aquarium section was kind, helpful and knowledgeable. Great service. His love for fish was obvious and his passion to educate and serve customers was refreshing.

Great selection for reptile products and a variety of canned bugs. I especially love their cork rounds. Their reptile setups seem nice compared to other pet stores, no reptiles were kept on those unsanitary repticarpet and had at least adequate heating and lighting with no harmful red light.

Not a good experience visiting here.twice. I will not be back again. Both times it was clear that when I finally asked for help it felt like I was imposing on the staff. One of the times the cashier was sorting out mealworms on the counter where people place their purchases before purchase.

The fish were kept very poorly. There were multiple dead floating fishes and when we brought that to their attention they just said they make regular rounds to collect the dead fishes. I thought to myself, "wow.must be a lot of dead fishes around here regularly then. "

The fellow then proceeded to pull the dead fish out with his hands. Another tank had a serious case of ich (disease) on the fishes. We told him about it so he dumped a huge jug of blue medicine into the tank and when we were surprised about how much he put in he just said, "bit of an overdose in this one, but all the tanks are connected. Eventually the medicine will disperse around. "

One last thing. They were keeping a fully grown adult common pleco in such a tiny tank that it barely fit lengthwise, let alone having room to swim around. Seemed a bit cruel.

Yikes! Not going back here. There are far better options, like Petland in Poco or even Petsmart.

My 1st time at Mr Pets. I was at the Poco location. Well organized store, friendly staff. Livestock selection was quite good considering the pandemic. Especially in the small furry creatures department. Some really good quality food selections and fair pricing. Separate tanks in the aquatic section and great looking betta tank system. It's a stand alone store with lots of parking. I wouldn't hesitate to go back. Good looking store.

Great place to get everything you need for your pets. Store is always nice and clean and employee are usually nice and friendly. They know what they are talking about most of the time. The selection of live animals is not massive but great and the selection of dry food, cages, medicine and toys are great. I like this store an would be back for sure.

We always go to Mr. Pets for food and advice. Their staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Today we picked up some crickets and meal worms and once again the staff were wonderful to deal with. Recommend.

Great selection and incredibly helpful staff. Amazing selection of live and dead food for reptiles and the dog and cat stuff is all top tier. Also their betta section is 10/10! Seriously worth checking out if you want to up your tank game.

I love Mr. Pets they have the best selection of healthy food for all our furry loved ones they have an amazing selection of snacks and treats and if your pet has allergies like my dog does there is a great selection of snacks and goodies to keep your pet safe and happy. Also if you sign up for a membership card after you buy 12 bags of food you get a FREE BAG the free bag you get is the size of the bags that you have been buying so if you buy large bags then your FREE BAG will be a large bag now you cant beat that especially when the membership is also FREE!

The staff are very knowledgeable about pet care products (more so than the major pet stores). They also have some pretty good prices

Good neighborhood pet store. Christina is knowledgeable and helped a lot with choosing the best hamster for me, big ol' Puff is doing great!

They carry a limited assortment of aquarium supplies and food. The prices are competitive and reasonable. They carry more of the cat n dog pet supplies than on aquarium supplies.

Great little pet store with supplies and toys for dogs, cats, fish and small animals. My cat is currently in love with a feathered ball toy.

Access to the parking lot is only off Westwood Street.

Prices are decent, quality of products is high. Only place i get my hamster food from now. Hazel hamster mix worked wonders for my little girl whose actually named hazel. Reversed her aging. Water bottles carry a warranty apparently too from here which is great because the ones i get from petsmart are always junk but the products at mr pets are actually really good quality.

I just saw the new betta holding tank setups and I just have to give a huge shoutout for them respecting their fish’s needs! If only all pet stores would stop selling bettas in tiny cups bravo Coquitlam Mr Pets!

Five starts because they finally have bettas in tanks and not cups. Great step in the right direction, especially to educate customers. Way to go Mr Pet's!

One of the rarer pet stores that actually care about their animals

Great pet store for the neighborhood, and they actually offer correct information when it comes to pet care. They’re animals are also being taken cared of in the store. Pricing is similar to most other places (some times better). Really friendly staffs, I’ve been shopping here for 4,5 years and have always had a good experience.

This location has a great selection of products. Excellent care is put into their aquatics and marine animals. Staff are world class with their product knowledge and customer service. Consistent experience going to this location. Great shop!

I had my aquarium water tested here twice in two days, second time by the manager. Both times was told the result was good (not excellent), but still lost a number of fish. When I later found my receipt and could (in theory) get a refund or replacement based on their five day fish health guarantee, was told my nitrates had been found to be too high. Not impressed.

Amazing service! Super friendly staff! Quick to help my navigate the store so I didn't need to be searching for what I was shopping for. I get a sincere "hello" immediately every time I open their front door! Love shopping here!

I don't recommend this store.
On April 3, I bought a dog leash and spent more than $ 50, and the clerk assured me that this product has a 5 year warranty. The rope broke when I was walking my dog ​​on April 16. I got it in the store on April 18 and wanted to talk to them about how to deal with it, but I was told that they couldn't do anything because I didn't bring a receipt. OK, okay, I will still be honest and buy things at petsmart in the future, at least they do n’t need my receipt when I need to return them.

Staff is really iffy here. Some are friendly and helpful and others just sit and talk to each other instead of asking if you need help. Their selection is pretty good and the fish look healthy. They are a bit pricey on their drift woods and fish food though. I prefer the one on commercial myself. Better staff

I have no words. I am enthralled by Mr. Pet's exuberant staff and diverse and qualitative product selection. It's fantastic to see a petstore chain that doesn't cut corners and buy from shady, PETA-peered vendors (I'm looking at you, PetSmart.) Prices are respectable for the competition, and I solely believe that, with the rewards system they have for valued recurring shoppers, it's a smart idea to become a regular, get to know the staff that beautifully maintain, prep, and inform for their customers. To name an exceptional staff member, Raya, who answered my questions in an intelligent and timely manner. She really knows the store like the back of her hand, and I think she and the rest of the associates very well deserve increased wages. They may be a young group, but they're bright, attentive, and truly want to assist you as i've experienced first-hand. Highly recommend, haven't seen a better-managed store to date.

I was needing a tag with my phone number engraved and they had a big selection of options to choose from. They also had the little clip that makes it so you can attach the tag to different collars etc easily and remove it.

Beyond that, this pet store is huge. They have a wide selection of products for all sorts of pets: aquarium, terrarium, and vivarium supplies (including a big selection of fish and water plants) ; little critters and their bedding and toys and everything; a bird and bird stuff; plus the wide range of supplies for cats and dogs.

Another nice thing is that parking for this location is ample and easy. I drive past this Mr. Pet’s often, and I’ve never seen their parking lot full.

Staff wasn't knowledgeable of the fishes they had. I noticed a quarantine sign above the tank before I bought a fish and the staff wasn't able to tell what that means.
Bought a fish, lasted a week before it got sad, ill, and died.

Pretty disappointed my 3 year old who desperately needed to pee couldn't use a bathroom so left an armful of stuff to drive to find a bathroom.

I have been buying my dog food here for a very long time and had no problems. Recently i purchased a fish tank from them and that was fine. However I've been very frustrated with the customer service since I started trying to stock the tank. Getting someone to help you is near impossible and when you ask someone its like you've ruined their day. There was some Juuli cory's on hold for a while and I asked about them and was told if they don't get picked up i'd be able to buy them. When i checked back a few days later I was told that they're actually a staff members fish and they're just keeping them there. I could have ordered them instead of having my time wasted. I went in today to get some bronze cory's and some bamboo shrimp. There are dead cory cats in the tank and they didn't die recently. The flower shrimp looked fine so i was gonna get them but as usual nobody is there to help. After I was sick of waiting I went to the til to ask but when i realized the store was completely dead and the workers were all just standing around socializing I walked out. Might pop in now and then but I won't be buying my dog food or fish supplies here anymore.

Was told I could have 1 fish per 10 gallons meaning I could have 4.5 fish. Wanted two more and she said I was warned and the Angel fish I had just purchased would not be under their warranty.
