Mr. Pho

Awesome little spot. Very friendly staff and amazing service. Soup was very tasty. The pho Tai is very good meat was tender and fresh.

Legit Viet restaurant operated by legit Viet family. Pho broth is clear and very good. Good, courteous service.

A few vegetarian options (v.pho, v banh mi). Service is excellent, awell run family business. Nice decor. The food was good, too.

As others have mentioned, the garlic wings. Also they have more dessert options than other places, as well as smoothies and soda chanh muoi (salted lime). No durian shake though.

Price wise, comparable to inflation prices now (15-20 pp). Still good value as portions of meat are generous. Can easily share the large pho + wings for 2.

Wow, a perfect pho experience in my book. (And I’ve been enjoying pho for 30 years now, so quite experienced lol)

Everything was just I ordered the large house special pho, and the portions of everything was perfect, noodles cooked to perfection, and I felt just full enough afterwards, not too much. Just all the small touches too as superb for a pho experience. I look forward to being back.

Heard good things about this new local Pho restaurant. I was feeling under the weather, and ordered some with very specific instructions of how I wanted it. It came 100% what I asked for. The meat was beautifully arranged in a separate container, the vegetables were crisp and fresh and the broth was tasty. Going to post pictures!

We spotted this gem from afar (across the street to be honest) walked over as it was inviting and the food even better.

The pho is very flavorful but in a gentle way. Reminds me of a warm homecooked meal to relax after a long tiring day. Their hot sauce is also quite unique with a heavy scent of lemongrass, pairs really well with the soup.

The portion size is huge. My bowl was filled to the rim, with generous amounts of meats and noodles.

The service was good, family run, kids helping out after school. I will definitely come back again.

Ordered takeout for lunch today. Generous portions and nice rich broth in the pho. Pho was actually bigger than what it looks like I. The picture. I poured it into a big bowl afterwards.

I went there for the first time with my host family and it was the first time I tried Vietnamese food too!

I had a great experience:
The food was delicious and I loved how we got our relaxing tea refilled many times. The atmosphere was really good I loved the traditional songs in the background. The staff is really kind and always smiling.
Great impression and atmosphere, we will be back for sure!

Tried this new Vietnamese spot for lunch today. Dine in. Selected the chicken & spring roll and separately the beef short ribs rice dishes.

Had a small bowl of the beef broth to sample also. Found it to be subtle but solid beef flavour. Finally a place that doesn’t overdue the sweetness. It is just clean beef broth.

Portion size: Ample (see photos)

Flavour: Excellent

Service: Attentive

Minor glitch when paying due to connection issue but it was resolved quickly. We will be back.

Ordered the grilled chicken sandwich (take out) and looks like the bun was burnt but they just ripped the burnt pieces off the bun and sent it out like that. I’m not a fan of overly hardened burnt food. First time there. Expected better.

Meats were good, noodles were good, broth was on point, price was good. Couldn't be mad really. Hope they keep it up.

My husband and I are always a fan of pho especially during this rainy Vancouver season. We just moved to Port Coquitlam a year ago and has been trying different Vietnamese restaurants. We saw that Mr Pho has just recently opened and decided to give it a try. No doubt, Mr Pho by far is our FAVOURITE.

The salad roll is fresh and delicious. Their house special pho is definitely my husband's go-to and I personally love their vermicelli dishes. It is very recommended to order their Vietnamese coffee for the coffee lovers! The food absolutely tasted very authentic.

The service was great, the server was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended and will totally come back many more times to try other dishes in the menu!

I dont usually leave reviews but I'm a big fan of pho and have been hunting down for the best pho in town. Mr. Pho has exceeded my expectation of how tasty can a soup broth be. As someone who love soup as I do, I highly recommend ordering their Mr.pho house special noodle soup, honestly regardless of what ingredient you choose for your meat option, the broth just compliments the dish as a whole. For once I was obligated to finish the whole bowl of soup because its just as tasty as it gets.

Oh don't forget their chicken wings. Not the usual ones you eat out there, they added fresh grated garlic with some added flavour in it, taking chicken wings to a whole new level.

Last but not least, their vietnamese coffee is a must to order. The drip method gives a whole new vibe and it gives of an aromatic scent. Highly recommend to all the coffee lovers out there.

I'm so happy we have a fantastic Vietnamese restaurant in our neighborhood. Delightfuk music playing in thr background and a clean environment adds a lot to the ambience. We ordered their chicken wings, spring rolls, and house special noodle. Couldn't be happier with our choices. Their wings ate especially good. Deep fried with a special garlic paste seasoning.

Comfortable atmosphere, Staff supper friendly.

Food and services were both excellent.

Soup is rich and good portion, But It is a little pricey. Large pho for $16-17! Good that they have 10% off promotion at this moment. Will not go again when promotion gone.

Very delicious food! Authentic! My favorite-Fish sauce Chilli, lime, mint and Coriander. Very clean establishment and excellent food presentation.

Very nice people and good food for the price - think they need to up their game a little with the salad rolls (carrots and cilantro at least) and increase the meat serving size in their pho. But overall a pleasant meal with good flavour, made quickly, and a large pho and 2 salad rolls filled my wife and I up - and was only $24 for a dinner for 2, which is pretty darn good these days. They’ve recently opened, so I think they’ll improve as they grow. Would definitely go there again.

This new place is great, lovely selection of food and had everything you’d expect at a Vietnamese restaurant. The grilled pork salad roll was delicious, and unique I will definitely have it every time I come here. My friend’s ordered rice and vermicelli plates and the portions looked good as well. The grilled pork here is made really well, a pop of flavour.

Super impressed with this place! I'm orginially from Vancouver and used to live close to Kingsway where there is such an abundance of authentic Vietnamese restaurants. Moving out of Vancouver, I've found it hard to find anything close to what I'm used to - until now! Food is flavourful, generous with their meat portions, staff is so friendly and restaurant is clean and inviting. Also their Vietnamese coffee is one of the best I've had! Must try. Happy to welcome them to the neighbourhood.

Been to quite a few pho spots around poco and Coquitlam, this is literally the best so far. This place is crazy good

Heard some good things from neighbours about a new Vietnamese pho restaurant in the area and decided to give it a try. Staff are very friendly which earned it an extra star.

Portion size. A tad less than everywhere else that I have been, but not the main deal breaker.

Food quality… well.

Spring roll was dry as ever and not sure what kind of filling they used but tasteless.

Fish sauce wasn’t conjured properly and seems like they just used water and a few drops of fish sauce.

Broth tasteless as well. We all know pho is all about the quality of the broth!

Beef was lacking and of poor quality compared to “all” pho restaurants I have been to.

Noodles were over cooked and soggy. Texture was unpleasant.

Drinks were all ice and literally gone after 2 sips.

All in all based on the food I would give a 2 star, but the owner/server was very nice so gave an extra star.

Don’t think we will ever come here again and would not recommend.

Gave the restaurant a try today.
The place was extremely busy so we called to order take out.
They messed up our order so they had to remake our food from scratch when I was there to pick up.
Then they forgot our fish sauce in vermicelli. I was too tired to even go back to pick it up so I made the sauce myself.
Portion is smaller than usual vietmanese places in tri cities and their salad roll has mint in it that my daughter spit it right out and refused to take another bite.
Sold out of chicken wings when we ordered at 4: 30.

Flavour is authentic but there are tons of great vietnamese restaurant in this neighborhood so the competition is fierce though.

Honest review but will give it another go cause we want to try the vietnamese chicken wings and the place has just opened so I'm sure they will get better at taking orders.

Finally a Pho place on Coast Meridian Road. This place used to be a Japanese sushi kitchen. Mr Pho offer large selection from pho in soup, rice bowl, to dessert. Both food and service are great. Definitely will come our go to Pho.
