Mr. Red Cafe

I ordered the beef stew noodle soup.
The service was the bare minimum.
The stew looked disgusting.
The beef looked like chunks that are usually fed to dogs, lots of fat and just massive chunks.
3 big carrots that were not cut.
The noodles were a big clump.
I ended up eating the noodles and some of the soup.
But had to leave the beef.
Not much flavour.
Would not recommend

I used to love their food and service. But today’s visit was really disappointing. I ordered no. 11 noodle soup and the noodles were SUPER short! Broken vermicelli: (
I guess the chef used the prepared noodles for noodle dishes or rolls. I was drinking the noodles soup the entire time No services indeed as well.

We ordered the chicken pho, fried crab and pork noodle set and papaya salad.

The papaya salad was refreshing and the size was quite big. We got the one with beef jerky in it. The papaya was crunchy and addictive.

The chicken pho was disappointing. The noodles were broken but the soup was nice and mild. There was a lot of noodles in it.

The fried crab and pork noodle set was delicious. The fried crab and pork balls were crispy and hearty. Each set comes with three. I would recommend just getting the fried crab and pork balls as an appetizer instead of a noodle set.

Overall the service was fast and efficient. The food was okay. Their appetizers are better than their mains so I would go there only for their appetizers and not for their pho. There is a strong scent of bleach in their cups and in the area which influenced the atmosphere a bit but other than that I would go back for appetizers.

These two stars are for great service and such cozy place plus nice decor, however, the food is very disappointing. I ordered a chicken sub, there’s barely chicken inside, and meat is so dry. I highly recommend the chief taste his/her own food first…

This was the second time we were there. The foods are so tasty. I odered special pho and my girl friend took bun bo huue. I have to say jummy, it ‘s exactly the Northen Vietnamese style like those ones we tried in Hanoi when we were in Hanoi capitol. We’ll come back again.

Disappointed with their chicken noodle. We ordered two kinds (12. BÚN GÀ NẤM MỌC - Mr Red Café vermicelli noodle soup with slice chicken breasts, mushroom & homemade pork meatballs and 13. PHỞ GÀ - Classic Slice Chicken breast pho). Noddle was ok. Soup was a bit dull and most disappointing was their chicken. They were all very dry and overcooked, a bit tasteless too, both the chicken slides and chunks. Since their noodles are not cheap ($17 each + tax and service), I have had higher expectation than other restaurants. Even if I may go back but definitely would not order any of their chicken dishes again.

Cozy spot for a bowl of pho but not my favourite. There is a limited selection of pho type bowls and I find the broth a bit limited and bland. The noodle type is not my favourite with pho. Not your typical flat rice noodle for some of the soups. I also wish there were sizes to their bowls but it’s one size only and for the price I feel like you don’t get enough. Without an appetizer, a bowl itself does not fill me.

What I enjoy most from here is the interesting and yummy appetizers. Recommend the cha com and the BÁNH BÈO-NOT.

Service is okay, nothing to boast about.

We were disappointed.we got the cha com and bun tron mr.red.both were way too greasy - like they had been fried in old oil that wasn't the right temperature. Also, felt the pork in the bun tron was gristley and had too much fat on it.

Also got the Pho Bo. Broth was ok, but noodles were overcooked & soft. Unfortunately won't be back and we were excited to try it. Maybe the quality has gone downhill?

Not the best culinary experience. I was also caught by surprise when I was told they don’t accept credit. I would have really apreciated a warning or a sign somewhere visible before ordering about this.
