Food is always amazing! If you have never been you must go well worth the travel it's the best dine in restaurant in nanaimo. Amazing chef's food is Always hot big portions and freindly servers

Super friendly staff, lovely dinner atmosphere, portions on the large size but very enjoyable

Food presentation could have been a lot better. You guys really need to work on it. If you're gonna serve seafood, stop using artificial seafood.

Some of the best food in town. I've been coming here for decades and realize I've only had 2 dishes

Caught them mid afternoon, so the place was really quiet. Enjoyed the chicken teriyaki.
Resteraunt looks a bit run down from the outside, but food was good!

Went here for lunch. Had the single piece of fish and chips. It was really good. Pop is rather expensive tho. Service was great, very attentive host.

Ordered delivery and it was horrible. Wife ordered an appetizer platter. There was a half melted plastic cup of some vile smelling red liquid in with the food. The chicken nuggets had a strong chemical taste to them. The med wontons tasted like fish, but they do not have any seafood listed as an ingredient. We both ended up with stomach issues the next day, no surprise why. Super gross.

I ordered the "famous" beef dip. It was fine. Not sure what it would be famous for unless it was "most average beef dip". The beef was nice but it was incredibly bland and the jus was in a tiny little cup that was awkward to use and was also lacking flavour.

Not worth it unless you like mediocre food and food poisoning.

2nd time and years apart from first time.

Came with family and one out of towner friend. Everyone enjoyed their meals and Waiter was awesome.

The food was amazing portions were huge and perfect If u want to be full the kids burgers were like a normal burger a Wendy's.the service was amazing we had a great server.the atmosphere of the restaurant was fun and retro style

While the staff was lovely, the food was sub-par at best. I had the bacon onion burger which was so greasy every time I took a bite I was wiping my chin because it oozed of fat. My partner had the fish and chips and the fish was tasteless and soggy from being so full of grease.
Not to mention, the building itself reeks of mold. For the price we paid for lunch, unfortunately this one missed the mark.

It is basically a diner. I can only comment on one dish because that's what I get every time I go. The War Wonton soup is a religious experience especially when you add some of their homemade hot sauce. I usually get it with extra pork if you want a little tip. It's not inexpensive but it's worth it.

Miss the old fries though flat crunchy fries and I always get the wonton soup I don’t like the bokchoy off putting for sure and I miss how it use to have cauliflower

Stank like natural gas and gave me a headache.couldn’t even order anything because i lost my appetite.considering this was my first ever experience, I’m disappointed.

5 stars because the waitress was amazing. On the ball, great sense of humor- had the entire table cracking up. Would come back just for the hospitality, which is a rare gem these days

Food was good, I had the fish and chips and it was decent. The gravy was very good, make sure you get gravy to dip your fries in.

Whole place had a vibe, there's an entire car mounted above the seating area. Very quirky, and also most importantly - reasonable prices.

Next time I visit the Island I'll be returning here

The only downside is the parking. The lot is small and no lines so people park badly, with way too much space in-between each other so only about 6-7 cars fit. Otherwise you have to find street parking

I Came down to Mrs. Ritchie as my husband, Peter and I had a craving for, Wor Wonton Soup with Garlic toast and I was very happy with the Wonton soup! I phoned ahead to order for pickup and it was still piping hot when I arrived home in North Nanaimo! Very tasty and filling.

This restaurant has a homey eclectic appearance, with good food and service. I enjoyed the small war wonton. Lots of healthy food and well cooked. My husband said his fish, in fish and chips was one of the biggest servings he'd ever had.

Wow! The big Wonton Soup is the best I have ever had! It is so filling I couldn't eat it all in one seating. The service was amazing, and booths are really big and spread out, and the people I was with was really happy with their food. So many refills on the ice tea. My mom loved the fish and chips, she said it was one of the best she ever had. Highly, highly recommend. If I could give more stars I would. We will be coming back for sure.

I was not impressed at all. Ordered a Beef Dip it was absolutely tasteless, I will never go there again. I complained and all they said, is the aus ju was good.

Had a great dine in experience while in Nanaimo, BC! Recommend the burger and fish and chips! Love the eclectic decor and the staff were super friendly and welcoming!

A little bit of everything. War wonton did not disappoint, too much food. The seafood linguini was recommended by 2 of our crew as well.

Fast and very friendly service. Our host was pleasant and attentive. The K2 massive burger was much better than I would have thought. Fresh veggies, seasoned burger and huge!

Free beverage refills and a small treat for the kids after.

Great experience.
