Food was a complete disappointment. This restaurant is indulging in False Advertising by not having correct prices for dishes on their menu. The staff claimed they were 7 yrs old, seems like they have been too busy to get their menus updated. No wonder the food and service is unforgiving.

This is the best Indian restaurant in the north vancouver. Visited here with my friends and it’s worth spending every penny. Food was delicious (try chicken tikka and daal makhni) service was outstanding overall great experience

I’ve been coming to this lovely place since we moved to the North Shore, maybe for the last 15 years! The food is always top notch, tasty, great portion sizes! Tonight I got to try a new samosa that’s been added to the menu—vegetarian with tofu and spinach…so yummy. And a beautiful new rose water flavoured pudding with a gulab jamun-wow! A lovely treat for our Sunday evening! Thank you!

Their butter chicken, Matar paneer, garlic naan and lassi is really good. The service is great too.

Ordered the lunch thali and it came with 3 curries- daal makhni, paneer pakora, chana, naan and rice. Each curry had a distinct flavor, piping hot and delicious. Will definitely be going back to try the other items on the menu

Everything was really good, we enjoy the food a lot the chicken curry coconut was so nice, the lassi mango and the Nan as well, it was so quickly.

For sure I’ll come back and order delivery. But ask for the lowest spicy and you will enjoy it!

The chicken in the butter chicken tasted like it was about four weeks old and the sauce surrounding it was pretty rough too. Everything else was decent.

How disgusting the butter chicken was would still prevent me from ever coming back.

Ordered from here for the first time tonight - everything was good, but you need to be warned that medium spice is VERY HOT.

And I like spicy food, but I ordered medium because my husband can’t and shouldn’t eat spicy stuff. I brought home $70 worth of food and he can’t have it, after trying three or four bites, and I’m finding it extremely hot as well.

? Unless you really like very hot food, order almost no spice. YOWZA

Tasty food, super staff, not the nicest looking place and a slightly early closing time, but overall much better than expected!

You ever get that craving for Indian food and you're not near Lonsdale? Good news, Mumbai Masala is probably closer to you. Yeah, that sounds like an ad, but it is true.

We were shopping at Park & Tilford and just had to have Indian, so we dropped by. At the door I thought, "meh", but everything turned out far better after we walked in the door.

It is a nice quiet place for a tasty early dinner. The menu has the favorites, of course, but it also has a few different dishes that we got to try and really liked. The menu is laid out so that many dishes can be chosen by sauce and then select the meat - so it isn't totally listed by meat type, which is a neat change.

As I said, the food was great.
We tasted the Lamb Kalya and the Chicken Jalfrezi and were impressed. The naan was excellent, both plain and stuffed. The plain had a great texture and a good portion, and the stuffed naan stood out from other places in the quality of how it was stuffed and both had lower prices.

The food is so good that we will be back again when we are out that way. The staff was very pleasant, paying good attention to all the tables. The presentation of the food was quite appealing - I do wish I remembered to take pictures, so there's another good reason to go back.

Mumbai Masala is simply awesome! My wife and I have such a delicious meal every time we come here. Highly recommend the Tandoori Fish, it melts in your mouth!

Clean/classy restaurant with upbeat Indian music… Ordered Prawns Zanzibar (tasty with just the right amount of heat) and Eggplant Bhartha (delicious!) with Naan, perfectly made. I ordered a Chai tea (spices excellently balanced). The service was good- responded upon requests (excellent would have been asking if more hot water was needed, plates cleared upon finishing, asking when to bring bill etc). I’d definitely go back… overall a tasty and enjoyable lunch experience!

Ordered meat thali for lunch. Wonderful flavors. The portion size was adequate for lunch. Will return.

The garlic naan was delicious and fresh, every time I dine here the dishes are amazing! The spice level is asked before hand so I always go with medium. Service is hospitable and fast, fantastic dine in experience. Vindaloo and lamb curry with Paneer dishes are always a perfect choice. I like to order chai and naan and rice whenever I go.

Good food, had a nice filling meal after a long day of skiing. Definitely coming here again the next time I’m in North Van

I'm addicted to their pistachio curry chicken. Granted, I would enjoy a bit more pistachio in it, but it's still delicious.

We had mutter paneer and lamb kalya with rice and garlic naan. Everything tasted fresh flavorful and hot and the spice level was perfect how we asked it to be. Their chai tea is not to my personal taste, but regardless the service was friendly and fast so I would definitely come here again.

I usually don't post negative reviews but I just had to say something. I ordered a meat thali for $16. Very disappointed with the small portion size for the price. It came with 3 small bite size pieces of chicken.

The flavor and spices were not very powerful or rich compared to other local Indian restaurants.

I ordered a non spicy masala for my kid. The masala provided ended up being the same price as my dish. Poor value for money considering a bunch of cheap ingredients were used with small portions

Food aside there was no air conditioning or air flow. Found it was a bit stuffy inside. Also there was no ambient music so you could here a pin drop. A lot of awkward silence from patrons

Don’t want to give any star but it doesn’t let me. The worst Indian restaurant ever!
My friend came over from Richmond and wanted to grab some appetizers. Their tamarind sauce was just tamarind water. The container was so tiny that there were only 3-4 pieces of pakora. I have ordered multiple times in the past but then I stopped wouldn’t have suggested my friend if I knew she would go there. In the past they never cut their naan into 4 pieces I always end up getting the big bread of naan I need to cut at home. That’s disgusting.
Their packaging is worse always leaking sauces.
Please don’t go and waste your money. There are so many other restaurants on lonsdale that are so yummy.

Don’t know why I thought ordering from here will be a good idea. I ordered 2 appetizers samosa and aloo tikki chaat and 3 rotis. Chaats tasted fine nothing exceptional. The rotis were hard as rock. When I called the restaurant the manager kept apologizing and replace rotis next time I ordered. There won’t be a next time. What would the apology do for me I wanted to have the rotis for dinner. I never throw food in the garbage bin, unfortunately I had to this evening. Better Indian restaurants and service in North Vancouver.

This place is horrible! I found a hair on my food and the owner told me that I was lying- the place isn’t clean and the kitchen is dirty as well- it is just next to the washroom- don’t go there!

Ordered from skip on monday evening. Chilli chicken bites were stiff as hell. Fish pakora and chicken pakora were only 4-5 pieces each and the smallest pieces i ever seen in my life. So overall they are overcharging customers and food quality is zero. This is not what indian food tastes like.

Ordered chicken korma off doordash. 3 stars because the food tasted fresh and arrived hot. Not a lot of chicken, mostly gravy/sauce, which tasted like a generic Indian recipe catered to a handful of people who order butter chicken everywhere they go. Either my order was mixed up with someone else's butter chicken or they use the same base for all dishes, because that did NOT taste like korma.

First time ordering from this place and wow the old reviews did not lie. The butter chicken taste like tomato soup. Chicken tikka is extremely salty. Even ordered small rice and it had some green debris. Very disappointed customer

We ordered Veg kebab and Chilli Paneer from this restaurant today.
Chilli paneer was so sweet that our hands were sticking and it was nothing but paneer dipped in Sugar Syrup.
They delivered Very oily 2 small Aloo Tikkis on the name of Veg Kebab by charging $11. WHEN WE CALLED HIM TO GIVE FEEDBACK HE HUNG UP INSTEAD OF ASKING APOLOGY. PLEASE BEWARE OF THESE TYPE OF RESTAURANTS IN TOWN. THEY WOULD NOT DESERVE EVEN 1 BECAUSE ITS NOTHING BUT CHEATING CUSTOMERS

Meh. Unfortunately this is the closest option for us so we have ordered a lot but I am always disappointed. Portions are small for the price and they are not generous on the meat at all. Usually end up spending $50+ on takeout for 2 and never feel it's worth it. I guess the real estate must be expensive because neither the quality or quantity of the dishes justify the price.

If I could give this minus 5 I would! Save your money. The food here is horrible. I ordered to go, my husband and I couldn't even eat it. The vindaloo had a few small pieces of meat that were dried out (must have been from the day before) the daal tasted like cinnamon. On top of the horrible food - the manager that I spoke to said he would credit me back in full. Just got my statement and got less than half back. Service to match the food! Save your money and don't go here.

I am scared to order from this place as they use a lot of artificial food color in their butter chicken and the food tastes weird.

Ordered butter chicken and it took me a day and multiple hand washes to remove the orange food stains from my fingers.

Spoke to the east Indian server, with a British accent about it and he denied it and was extremely rude that I even brought it up. Be aware!

I ordered through Doordash. This is the second time I've ordered form Mumbai. First time was only okay. This last time was enough to not go back. The vegetable vindaloo was flavorless. The peas looked like they were out of a can. You know that pale "not fresh" look? The mutter pulao was also disappointing. $20 at my regular local place is soooo much better, bursting in flavor and authentic.

Service and food was great. Stopped at park and tilford to kill some time. Popped into the restaurant. Scotty was great, friendly and knowledgeable. He asked me what I was looking to order, said I was un sure, he made a recommendation and it turned out great!

Scotty (the Scot ironically) was great - made a delicious recommendation. Food was great, price reasonable, service quick and friendly.

Save your money. This is not a real Indian restaurant. Any of the other reviews that say the food is good are fake.
The food comes from a jar. It is tasteless and bland. The prices are lower than real Indian restaurants but don't be fooled. You will not want to eat what they are serving.
Half way through our meal, the waiter realized we were not impressed. After that, he refused to come back to the table. I had to yell out loudly, "Excuse me! We would like to leave now. " Even then, he served another table before clearing our plates and bringing the bill.
Try Palkis on 15th and lonsdale, way more authentic and goid service.

As someone who has lived in Mumbai for a very, very long time this is as far from any kind of Mumbai cuisine as it can be. In fact it is terrible North Indian food. I would have given it 3 stars if the food was good but it isn't. And the service is equally bad.

Always a great place to stop by for lunch. The lunch special is good and fast.
