For one month I have been shopping for a SUV. I have drove every comparable model.
I bought the 2023 GMC Terrain AT4. This vehicle by far is my favourite.

This post is not about the vehicle, and more so about my experience. I walk in the dealership and from that very moment I received nothing but the best service. No sales tactics, No up selling, No wasting my time. Every question I asked, was answered. They know their product!

I am sure they figured I was a tire kicker. I was dressed in flip flops, yoga pants and a t-shirt. Royce was my salesman. My experience had a unique feel of the 70s. When you actually received customer service. Truthfully, It almost had a similar feeling of coming home for Thanksgiving.

If I were to be a guessing girl, I would say this is a family owned business. Their hand shake means something.

We are living in uncertain times. Every day there is talk of potential war. A great deal of our money continues to shift to the east. For this reason alone, I wanted to buy what was made at home. I can go on and on, about why this vehicle was my pick.
Here are some of my additional reasons.
1. For your money you really get the "BANG".
2. For your business you get treated like family.
3. Every vehicle can have bad years, but knowing the customer service and efforts to make you happy; that matters to me.
4. My Grandfather owned a GMC's and I have nothing but fond memories of that old truck.
5. Every time I look at the front grill it makes me smile.
6. When I sat in this vehicle I felt like I had a super power.
7. In 50 years you will still be able to get parts.
8. Besides the Ford Dealer in Penticton, every other dealer I dealt with operates like Templeton the Rat.
9. Trust in a company and their employees means something to me.
10. Hands down, this vehicle looks sexy as heck.

The technicians here are great, very knowledgeable and friendly. However management is very pour. Since Derek Baxter left the customer service has gone and customers are going else where. You can tell this by how slow the shop is, everyone just standing around with nothing to do.

I wanted to share the incredible customer service experience I had with this dealership. Hands down one of the best I have experienced in a long while.
No one made any money with this, nevertheless I was still treated with exceptional service regardless.

My son and I had travelled to penticton to visit friends, when my Chev 1500 truck (bought at another dealership in Kelowna) was making an odd noise, so I stopped by the service department at Murray Buick GMC in Penticton and asked if they would mind taking a look at it for me. Without hesitation all three men came out and looked under the hood and advised me not to drive it as it needed to be repaired. In speaking with them, the service manager (Joel), a salesman (Ryan), we were able to come up with a solution. Unfortunately it was a Saturday afternoon after 4pm and nothing could be done until monday. Not only did they get it done for me under warranty, but it was done first thing Monday Morning! (a big thank you to Joel and the technician!)
That in itself was fantastic, however the service didn't stop there.
When I left the truck at the dealership I also left my keys and forgot I had my house keys on the ring as well. I only realized this later that evening, thankfully we were still in Penticton at the time.
I texted Ryan who contacted the manager and someone met me at the dealership to return my house key for me!
On a Saturday evening, while they were all off work! Just amazing and I couldn't be more appreciative of all the effort.

WOW, small town exceptional customer service!
I will definitely be dealing with them in the future and referring to everyone I can.
This type of service is uncommon in this day and age, and it should not be!
Keep it up Murray Buick GMC Penticton!

This is how they treated my 120k truck completely destroyed the plastic panel with their boots this is after I cleaned off all the grease! Kelly never even responded back to me about this. I will never return to this dealership

They sold me a 2020 3500 Duramax back in March, by June I had to bring it in to shop because there was a crack in the turbo. It took over a week to fix and in that time they did not offer me another truck to drive like other dealerships have done for me in the past. Since then the key fob has stopped working. It happened back in August and is currently December. It’s been in the shop for multiple weeks at a time and they keep telling me they don’t know how to fix it and they don’t really seem to care. Over all not impressed.

Recently bought a used truck. They gave me a fair trade value on my old truck. And their price was very fair on the new one. I tried dealing with dealers in Kelowna and felt like they were trying to rip me off. I felt very comfortable dealing with Ryan on the purchase of my new truck. Highly recommend these guys.

Can’t say enough about a recent experience with these guys, especially service adviser Dave G. I’m out of town on vacation and I’d had an issue with a flat tyre with my Ford and a warranty claim. Skaha Ford was super negative, but approached Murray GMC another of the warrants provider’s partners and got through to Dave G and he said, look we are busy, but come on down. Dave helped out through the claim process, called me three times with progress updates, anticipated a decision that needed to be made and went above and beyond to help me out. Highly recommended and a big thank you.

Girlfriend went in for a simple key replacement. Tech immediately started trying to upsell. Even used the disgusting “you won’t make it home unless you buy this” tactic. Just horrible behaviour and I would avoid ever using the parts/service side of this dealership. I would imagine the salespeople would but cut from a similar cloth, as this often comes form a management culture of intense sales pressure, but I cannot speak for that.

By far the best place to go to purchase a new vehicle. Dustin was very informative and helpful in getting what I was looking for. Logan made the deal happen and explained everything and answered all my questions.

It's not uncommon to have a great experience during the sales process, but the after sales & service can sometimes be a gamble. I from out of province, but you'd think I bought my truck here! What an outstanding service team. Without question, this wasn't a one off thing either. I had a drivetrain inspection done on my truck before we left on our trip, but I was still very uneasy about the noises I was hearing, so I booked into this dealership to have another one done, and I was fully expecting to pay the same or more, since I was adding some work as well. Instead, I paid less than a quarter, and they provided a hot breakfast to boot. If that wasn't enough, the mechanics and apprentices were incredibly engaging and friendly. I left very happy and confident my concerns were resolved, as well.

I had taken my car in for new tires in which I felt I should have not had to pay. Now, don't get me wrong. I know tires go bald. But, I have never seen only 2 tires go bald and not 4. And to have almost full thread on the back tires to boot. I have owned my car for 3 years and not once were my tires rotated in any of the services I went in for. I was to go to the coast last weekend and before leaving was told that my front tires were bald and should not do the drive. I go in to have new tires ordered. Set the appt and show up for the appt and tell the tech that I should not have to pay for the tires or anything involved with them being put on. I gave my reasons as to why and he looked thru all of my service history to see that the tires have never been rotated. Different guy says that it is not mandatory to rotate tires on visits. Well my car has gone in for every scheduled visit and not once had they been rotated. Owners manual says to rotate every 12,000kms. I am now almost at 40,000 and no rotation. Now, they did take the charge off for mounting and balancing but feel I shouldn't have had to pay for the tires either. The tires going bald were not due to my negligence of servicing my car but due to the lack of service by the dealership. It is stated in the second line "TIRE ROTATION" of what you get in their oil change service and well was never given one. I have never had an issue with the dealership in the last 17 years of dealing with them. Very dissappointed in the service I received. Nevermind the time I was there for them to change 2 tires. Arrived at 20 to 1 and was not leaving until 330.

Bought a new truck here. I was treated with respect and got a fair deal. The salesman RJ was patient and informative. It was a great car buying experience NO HIGH PRESSURE sales here. I talked with everyone from the owner all the way down, everyone positive and friendly. If you are in the market for a new GMC or Buick this place is a must to visit.

Absolutely unbelievable customer service. Got complimentary pick up from Osoyoos. Front desk staff very professional. Shuttle driver very nice. Would def recommend this place if you need your car serviced.

Great product line. Dustin was energetic and helpful throughout the selection process. Getting my new Diesel Canyon “dressed” with racks has been easy along with a few other accessories. All of the staff are knowledgeable and friendly

Came in after a sub par experience in Kelowna. Was greeted by friendly employees and introduced to Dustin who made my experience fun, enjoyable and easy. I would recommend Murray's over and over. Very happy.

Absolutely fantastic service. The salesmen were not pushy and they listened to my needs and wants. They went above and beyond to make our experience a positive one. Another great perk is that theres a fabulous chef that you get to take advantage of by having nice lunch while at the dealership. Thank you guys for your help!

Professional operation, friendly staff, quick appointments!

Parts pricing was a bit out to lunch. 400$ for a 30$ AC Delco wiper fluid pump, not including labour? That was a definite pass on having that particular issue sorted out in house.

Still, seems like a pretty solid place to have work done, pricing hiccups aside.
