My Greek Taverna Surrey

I ordered Tarama today from this place for delivery, I think they are new owners, it was not even close to tasting the way it is supposed to. It was runny like soup and tasted like vinegar. I get very tired of people thinking customers are stupid and won’t know the difference especially when they give poor excuses over the phone.

This was our favourite restaurant when we lived in N Delta. Went back when visiting and it is still an excellent place for Greek food.

It’s our favourite neighbourhood restaurant. Food is always hot and delicious. Great Moussaka, calamari and souvlaki’s. The service is always good too! They always seat you promptly. My one gripe, a few more wines on their list!

Large group dinner. Great service and attention to the group. Food was tasty and as described. Reasonably priced too.

The service was very slow, we placed our order and waited for about 35 minutes before the Kalamari dinner came, and my wife had to wait about another 10 minutes for her order to arrive, the kalamari was soft not crunchy and very blend. The worst experience we've had. The vege mousaka my wife ordered was blend and didn't taste good. When I asked the server if they had changed their chef, she was very vague, I usually frequent this restaurant and I've always had good experience here but this was the worst.

Always have Lamb shoulder when I do greek. This is the best I have ever had, so tender you do not need a knife. Service was excellent. Worth the drive. My new go to restaurant.

Portions are huge! The food tastes great and is a clean environment. The lamb I got was sooooooooooo tender that I didn't even need to use the knife they had given me.

Waitress was nice but the food was not good. The spanakopita and the Zucchini sticks were dripping in oil and felt like old food heated up. The two dishes with 1 drink came to $50 before tip. Even after the waitress was made aware that the food was not edible along with the rice under the zucchini sticks and spanakopita were also oily. I love Greek food but this restaurant was huge disappointment.

We tried My Greek Taverna for the first time tonight and were both impressed. I had the chicken and beef souvlaki and my wife had the moussaka and both dishes were excellent. The portions were very large as well. Service was fast and friendly and prices were reasonable. Recommended.

We ordered the Salmon and Vegetarian Lasagna. The Salmon was on salty side. They add a butter cream that’s really salty.
The Lasagna only has cheese, tomato sauce and Lasagna. No Veg’s.

Great ambience

Went to this restaurant for my birthday and I was not disappointed at all. The food was delicious and it came in large portions. Enough for lunch the next day!

Chicken souvlaki was good, but the appetizers weren't that impressive. Nice little Greek spot for the area, but not much to come out of town for.

Loved the food! Authentic! Chefs worked carefully to provide that Greek touch in Canada. The portions were fairly good for the prices, especially the sidings. The staff is friendly too. Overall ambience of the restaurant is also very nice.

Beautiful little taverna in Surrey. Excellent greek food, well made and presented. Friendly servers and nice ambience. The lamb was fall off the bone tender. Had an awesome with family enjoying really good food.

Ordered the lamb chops and they were pretty good, the fat cap was a little to charred for my liking. The escargot and garlic shrimp were done very well. The house wine paired nicely with the meal

We ordered from here tonight - I generally always order chicken suvlaki when I get Greek, but tonight I tried something new. The salmon plaki and wow, was it tasty! The rice, potato, prawns and pita were all delicious as well. Will order again, I highly recommend.

A small, Quaint restaurant, with great food and excellent service. It feels very traditional Greek, with the types of dishes that you expect in such a restaurant. Portions were large, and very tasty!
Definitely go again.

Not the greatest food the other night. Pita bread was dry and hard. My friend and I both ordered moussaka and her piece was much larger than mine. I got an end piece. We both felt the dish was missing something like the creamy texture. It was very dry

Sad excuse for greek food. Married into a greek family, and been to a lot of greek restaurants. The potatoes were very bland, and VERY over cooked, dried up and chewy. Moussaka was also VERY over cooked, very dry, was difficult to eat I should have sent it all back.

Take out This was the worst meal I have ever had. I ordered garlic butter prawns for my grandson & there was absolutely no garlic or butter to be seen. I had to add garlic & butter when I got the meal home. None of us enjoyed our meal which was too bad as it was for my husband's birthday. I ordered chicken souvlaki & it was dry. I will not recommend this restaurant. We tried this restaurant because our favourite restaurant was closed.

Went for a nice dinner with my fiancé. Geanie was very welcoming and kind. The food was amazing of course! Love the Saganaki!

I'm going to have to give the place a 3 star. Food is amazing always fresh and good so that is a 5. They need to improve on salad alittle. But the older blonde lady serving isn't the best. Everytime I've gone she seems annoyed while happy with others. Don't know why. While pickup asked my name said one minute. Went to a dine in table spent 10 mins talking while I'm waiting. The younger lady that was serving out front was way better. Maybe it's time to change some people around.

The food was good but had to wait for 40 mins just to get it. There were other people who were sat in after us but had gotten their food way before we did. Even after waiting for 40 mins I expected the food to be fresh and hot but instead it was pretty cold.all the waitress had said to us was “waiting on your food” and laughed, in stead of letting us know how much longer it was gonna be or apologizing for waiting that long.

This restaurant had some wonderful menu and the food was spectacular. I enjoyed the lamb. Great service and nice simple atmosphere. People and overall experience was pleasant.

We ordered food from here and they forgot to give us half of the order (2 Greek salads and tazaki sauces). We called them and we were shocked by their response. The manager refused to drop off the remaining order and we only live 5 minutes away from the restaurant. My husband and I just got off work and picked up the food and there was no way we where going back. The only thing she offered was extra tazaki and extra salad on our next order. Really? She failed to understand our frustration as our entire meal was ruined as we did not have any tazaki sauce. We paid over $50.00 for our meal. She even refused to give us a credit on our next meal. Anytime a restaurant has forgotten to give items from from a order they will offer a $25 or $50 credit. However in this case the manager refused to give us a credit. Our entire meal was ruined as we couldn't even eat the bread without tazaki sauce. Will not be ordering here ever again, this restaurant has the worst customer service then any restaurant I've been to before.

We usually order Greek food on door dash from this place but the last few times haven’t been great. This last order we had which we spent $100 on was terrible. The chicken souvlaki was so dry and hard and the chicken tasted off. The potatoes looked boiled and mushy and not oven roasted at all. Lack of flavour all around. The roast lamb was also super dry and hard like jerky. Sent a complaint to door dash and sadly probably won’t be ordering from here again unless it’s for dine-in.

I ordered the George platter for 2 for my anniversary and I really wish I hadn't. The food is horrible. The calamari was tasteless, soggy, and tasted rubbery and cold, the chicken and beef souvlaki were dry and the tzatziki was oily and gross. The delivery driver had such a hard time finding my place so most of my food was cold. Such a shame I spent all this money just to throw most of it in the trash. I will never order from this place again. I wish I could give a half star.

Got takeout tonight for a family of 6. The food was horrible, very Very salty and greasy. Never had food this greasy. The calamary was tasteless and very greasy too. Lamb was bland. Everything was just salty. Very disappointed. Haven't been here was several years. My whole family was so let down.

Love this place and eat here regularly. We have even had My Greek cater some bigger family meals in the past. We mostly order the souvlaki and the portions are great for the price. We have never been disappointed with the chicken or the lamb - always tender and lots of it. The calamari is also really good. The staff are fantastic and always very friendly.

The food Was good and staff were super nice when we went last year but yesterday we had experienced the worse service and the food was average. Really Too bad.

Had a great time this evening. First time coming here, music was too loud to the point where it felt you had to be screaming to talk to the person across from you. Tonight the music was at a more decent level, the service was good and the food was good.

I’m a picky eater and it’s challenging to find great greek food so I make the drive from South Surrey.

We ate here last evening and our meal was wonderful. We were with a large group of 43 last night and felt the staff did a fine job of getting the meals out. 43 hungry people is a big task. Lovely staff and very accommodating. Thanks My Greek!

Went with a group of 42. Had a smaller set menu for group, which consisted of souvalkis, lasagna or spanokapita diners. The chicken and lamb souvlaki was overcooked. The Greek salad was bland. The rice and potatoes were very good. The desserts were excellent. The àtmisphere was very nice and relaxing. The staff were very good, friendly and attentive. All in all OK. Would have liked to try the other items on the menu (or Roast lamb), but they were not on the host's group menu. Anyways had a good time at this place

I cannot thank you enough for the amazing food you supplied for my Daughters surprise engagement party. Despite my repeated changes in numbers you accommodated me without question and supplied some of the best Greek Food I have eaten in a very long time! My friends and family raved about the taste, freshness and quality of your food! I will only recommend your restaurant to anyone that asks and cannot wait to come in in person! Great hidden away restaurant in Surrey if your looking for a good Greek dinne. I would recommended this place to anyone, the food is good, there was a lot of it and the service was great.

This restaurant is amazing! I’ve been a customer for 20 years and they never cease to amaze. The food is delicious. Best Greek food ever! The staff is courteous and attentive. If you haven’t tried this gem your completely missing out.

I went for dinner to the restaurant last night with my friends. I have to say that it was one of the best meals we had had. The food was absolutely delicious, the ambience wonderful, but most of all, the staff was incredibly gracious and attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone I know and will be going back again and again. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. Compliments to the chef for such a tasty meal.

Very Awesome food over there. Brown rice is really delicious. They give rice, saladand sauce with every dish. I love the food over there. Olive oil is used in every dish. Chicken is really awesome. I always go over there. One of the good restaurant on Scott road. Always go with friends as well as family.

Service, food and ambiance were all excellent. His is the first time at this location. We usually dine at the coquitlam location. Food quality and service was consistent.

I Highly recommend checking My Greek Taverna. Their roast lamb is soft, delicate and very flavorful. The chicken souvlaki was delicious. My only complaint is the chicken strips for the kids. They only got two strips and the fries were not as crispy as he kids liked. They ended up eating most of my roast lamb.

This was our first time here and we were very impressed. Food was amazing! Some of the best Greek food we've ever had. Service was awesome! It was our Anniversary and even the other waitress that wasn't helping us came by to say Happy Anniversary. We will definitely be going back soon.

Had the roast lamb shoulder, the meat was so light and tender it was amazing! It went so well with the rice, potatoes and tzatziki sauce. The server was very polite and attentive throughout. We will definitely be back.

5 stars for the food. Fantastic calamari, roast lamb shoulder, musaka, rice, tzatziki, potatoes and greek salad. By far the best Greek food in the lower mainland, including some popular ones in New West & Vancouver. The drinks are a bit overpriced. They need to change the tired looking cutlery. Service was been very good 99% of the time. Generous portion sizes. Their dinner combos are a great value. We are regulars here and hardly have any complaints.

I had a nightmare at daytime from this restaurant. Before I ordered, I asked the server whether ribs are beef/pork, I don't eat pork. After Server's confirmation for beef, I ordered. I tasted, did not taste like beef, called and asked again, she reconfirmed again. But I could not eat at all, another server came and rudely asked me what's the problem with the food, finally she confirmed it was pork.

First server apologized though they charged the full bill, the whole vibe we got was totally opposite of good customer service from these two servers.

Food tasted good (rice, salad, potato which I ate from the platter), but I will not go back again because of this terrible customer service.

Food and service was excellent, restaurant was clean. By far one of the best places around town to have a nice authentic Greek dinner, definitely a go to for my wife and I. Staff is very humble and friendly and the atmosphere is very welcoming. Favourite dishes are calamari, moussaka and chicken or prawn souvlaki. Only thing missing would be if this place had delivery for those tired evenings where you’re craving Greek but don’t feel like leaving the house.

Just ordered through doordash. The driver was on time and fine. The food was awful. The calamari was fishy, the lasagna tasted like cinnamon? I couldn't quite put my finger on the over used spice and the tzatziki was tasteless. My kids who love Greek food wouldnt eat it and I couldn't blame them. At least they would eat the pita bread, rice and Greek salad. This was my first time trying them and so disappointed. The reviews looked so promising!
