My Smile Health Centre

I was told my original fillings were wearing down so I had them refilled, but this lead to really unbearable sensitivity on both my refilled teeth. The dentist suggested to refill the worse tooth so I did and that made it even worse. The dentist then suggested I fix my bite by shaving down my teeth since the refilling would have agitated my teeth. I’m not sure why they suggested a second filling knowing the agitation that can be caused by a single filling.
When none of the above things mentioned worked, the dentist suggested I get two root canals and sent me to an endodontist who stated my filling was too close to my nerves which is why I was experiencing so much sensitivity. Two root canals later, I asked this clinic if they’d be willing to cover the 45% of the crown my root canals now need that’s not covered by my insurance and received a reply stating they are terminating the “professional relationship” and blocked my email before I even had a chance to reply.
I went in for suggested teeth filling and was left with two root canals and received no effort to engage with me over this concern despite remaining reasonable in light of the situation.

Edit: The reply below mentions I wasn't blocked and I should reach out to them; what I failed to mention above is that I tried contacting about my concerns with my other personal emails that had my name in the address and those were ignored. It's also fishy that the one email that continually bounces back is the email they state was not blocked. I never would have left this review if they just talked it through with me, providing their reasons for their decision, but this is evidently the only way I can get through to them. I have never left a negative review for any business before and My Smile Health is my first.

What a great established! Everyone there was so kind. I was nervous going in, but Dr. Ivy Yu and Nancy were amazing, provided me with lots of information regarding the tongue tie procedure and made the whole process easy for me to understand. Thank you for treating us all so well, we hope we don’t need to come back (haha working on those stretches) but if we do we wouldn’t mind! Thanks for all the work you all do!

I am regular patient of Dr Thalini and Nancy since a year now. They both are super intelligent and understand very well their patient needs and work around the same. As personalities they are very friendly and keep you distracted from any injection pinches. Though dentists are not fun to go to but this feels differently good

Unethical place of business. If you're considering them, don't. Their absolute bottom line is $ over true care.

I LOVE the staff at Walton and they ALWAYS made going to the Ortho a great experience. Miss Kimberly took my braces off today— she was so nice and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Genuine care for health with a focus on patient education. The friendly front desk staff bring a smile to you whenever you call in or walk in. I can't believe Anita and Julia remember all the little details and helped my appointment run as smoothly as possible.

Bronwynne has been the first dental hygienist that worked on me and I FELL ASLEEP. That's how gentle she was with me. Super clean job and the education around the myofascial aspect of oral health was very helpful for long term care.

Dr. Ivy and Nancy worked on my dental needs. They were very attentive and my teeth are very happy chompers again.

They do not make you feel bad about things you aren't doing correctly but support and encourage you to do better. Another great appointment. Clinic is outfitted safely for Covid-19 and strict measures begin prior to and are enforced during the visit. The staff is pleasant and helpful, both at the front and in the operatory. The dental assistant even booked my next appointment on the operatory computer while I was in the chair. The front office took care of me as well, not the least ensuring I didn't leave without my goodies bag.

My Smile Health Centre embraces a holistic approach. The visit included not just detailed x-rays but also external facial pictures and blood pressure measurement. Speaking of x-rays, it's my first time having front x-rays taken, not just sides. You might want to arrive15 minutes early to fit in the extras but check with the friendly staff first as they must make sure the waiting room is empty for you.

Dr. Yu is knowledgeable and sensitive, stopping whenever needed to gauge my comfort level. She explained results and outlined next steps clearly.

Dr Ivy Yu is a very kind and compassionate dentist. She takes the time to understand your concerns and ensures your comfort during procedures. Her team is just as pleasant. I had many concerns about going to a dental office during covid but my last appointment made me feel much safer than expected. I phoned ahead and their sweet receptionist Janet answered every question and concern I had. When I got there everyone was wearing the appropriate masks, face shields, gloves and gowns. They took my blood pressure and temperature as soon as I walked in and they even went as far as providing cleanable plastic bins to put my personal belongings in. Having had been to two other appointments earlier in the week which were not nearly as conscientious and prepared, it was a sigh of relief to see all the precautions the My Smile Health team is taking.

Really pleasant and professional staff. Dr Yu is very skilled. Office is equipped with the latest technologies. Highly recommend coming here.
