Nana sushi

Very very disappointing when relying on previous posts.the portions on some dishes were tiny (sashimi) and then also a little on sweaty side. Dynamite rolls- caution they put some teriyaki and crunch on top that includes soy which one party has allergy.we ordered asking with no roe and responded they dont put anything on…no biggie but when called back to advise of issue they were argumentative.in 30 years of sushi never seen topping like that in good sushi spots.pick another place

Can't speak to the sushi, as I only had the chicken ramen. Would not recommend it. The broth tasted weird/off and the chicken was tough and dry. Service was fast.

We will definitely go again as the kids and adults liked the food, which is super rare for our family.

The best Nagasaki Jjampong I’ve ever had in BC! Their ramens are great as well. Very friendly owners and I definitely recommend!

It was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE.
I came to the restaurant as the first customer. I waited over an hour for my food to be done. The food was DISGUSTING. The service was terrible.

Terrible food, if I want terrible instant noodles I’ll go to grocery store instead be much better!

Spent 60bucks got a party tray, i pair of chop sticks, 3 pea sized pieces of wasabi and disappointing food.

To be fair, the food is fine. Kitchen doing a marvelous job. However, this restaurant fails on their service. When I ask more details about one dish, what I was told was it is all written on the menu. Extremely impatient. I would never make a recommendation of this restaurant. I hope the owner can read this and others and improve their service.

Ordered the Large Tonkutsu Garlic Ramen and it was well done. Fried garlic is flowing through it.only downside is the yolk ain't the orangey semi runny type. I find the chicken in the lunch special a little tough. Would be great if it's grilled instead of fried but ain't a deal breaker. Salad and California roll is good.

Will go here if Bistro Taiyo is closed.
Good food and great portions. Broth was not as hearty and flavourful as at Bistro Taiyo.
We had the the rolls and Ramen. My seafood Ramen was definitely the better one of the two. They have seating outside as well. Seemed like a fairly busy place during lunch hour. Lots of people getting take out. Will try the bento box next time.

We were on our way to the ferry and ordered some take out. We were cutting time close and they went out of their way to rush our order. Everything was fresh and tasty. The tempura was light and super crunchy, even in a to go box. Will definitely eat here again!

One of the best ramen I’ve tried! Rich and flavourful broth. Excellent! Love the chashu. However Chashu don in my opinion should not have the mayo on top since it’s already fatty.

I just wanna say, thank you all for the food poisoning, first time I went and got food poisoning, I thought it was a fluke so I just went again and guess what.
I got it again

I ordered over the phone, and was told it would be ready in an hour. When I showed up an hour later, I was told it would be another 10 minutes. It took another 40 minutes to get the food.

There special sushi is amazing, the others like a Cali rolls and such are just ok.
The Ramen is all fantastic

Great selection of sushi! The special rolls are huge! The tuna and sockeye salmon was super fresh. Service was fantastic! Highly recommend this spot for sushi.

I keep ordering from this place when I have a craving for sushi and Bistro Taiyo is closed, but I think I will just have to wait next time. The rice ruins the whole experience. It’s really chewy, broken down, and in the end its like a gelatinous sheet of rice meal wrapping what are actually delicious and over generous fillings. I love how much avocado is in the avocado roll, but it’s just not a nice experience when the rice is prepared so poorly. I hope you guys fix this, you have a prime location and although you will still get lots of customers, they are learning to love a product that just isnt good.

It was decent overall, however wish our noodle soups were less salty and more seafood would be nice in the spicy seafood champong. There were only 4 prawns and unnoticeable micro seafood that i could found ;)

High quality, fresh ingredients and very tasty. Best authentic ramen I've found in town - inviting semi soft boiled miso egg (note: sweet version). It's now my go to for sushi downtown!

I’d say this is a great place to get a bang out of your buck sushi, however, not the place if you’re looking for high quality sushi.

Portions are relatively large, so no need to order much to get filled. Food is okay, but I’m comparing quality to your typical store in Vancouver as well. Thought the rolls all had similar toppings and nothing stood out, but nothing was bad either. Service was great!

I used to like the food, but i just ordered lunch and it was smothered in store bought hot sauce? There was no authentic taste to the dish due to the amount of cheap hot sauce and I will definitely think twice before spending my money here again

Don't order anything with fake crab.it makes up 90% of the filling, couldn't even finish it because the flavor was overwhelming.

Excellent service and food! Only my second time but it is amazing for dine in, take out or delivery. Excellent quality and presentation. My husband said the sockeye salmon sushi was excellent and he knows his fish! Can't wait to go back and try more delicious menu items from their wide selection

Sushi Nana has great customer service and really good tasting food. I picked up some food without the correct sauce on it but, they went out of their way to deliver the correct order to my house within 5 minutes of closing! I wasn't expecting anything especially with how busy it gets so I really appreciate everyone on your team!

Nana Sushi's ramen is the best in Nanaimo!
I have never had better tasting ramen in my life. Also, the staff are very friendly and very active. If you are looking for a good restaurant in downtown Nanaimo, this is the right place!
My favourite dish is the spicy Nagasaki ramen.

Went in last night for dinner, the food was great. Love the DF Dynamite Roll! The food is always fresh and fast! Our server Sydney was excellent and very nice. We will be back!

Great quality food, really fresh, large portions and reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for some sushi, especially after 9pm.

My boyfriend and I went for sushi here today and the food was great, Danielle was our server and she is such a delight! Smile with a service.

Compare to other sushi restaurants, the sushi here is not made and cut as nicely or delicately. Taste is just OK. Wasabi doesn't have the usual zing so overall not so great.

Been here a few times and I always try to give it the benefit of the doubt since I work in the area, even though they ignored my allergy note before, and also served me a bowl of ramen with all the toppings missing and were really rude about taking it back.
This time I ordered some orders for pick up and asked for the 2 piece wild salmon sashimi ($6), over the regular salmon sashimi ($5). Not only was this the smallest sashimi I've ever seen, it tasted like.nothing? I'm pretty disappointed that this portion qualifies as OK to serve, and when I called they said it was normal.

Food was good, tasty, and fresh. Service was good. Decent portions. Food came out pretty fast. We had a Bento box and the kids liked it, so that's always a sign of good food.

This place is amazing! Great food at great prices. The sashimi is always fresh and the sushi here is really good. Friendly service! I super love it here!

Delicious food and generous portions. BUT beware of the fried tofu. Do not eat for at least 10 minutes. My friend had a cube (after waiting for it to cool for 5min) and a squirt of oil hit her tongue and seared off a good chunk of her middle of her tongue. I'd post a shot, but it's gross and I've never seen a tongue burned that bad.

Order out. Don't eat in. Service is Meh. Place is dirty. It's also freezing. Like freezing.
But the food is top shelf.so order out.

Came in a few days for some sushi and it was outstanding. My favourite is the BC roll and my waitress Sydney was very kind and efficient
