This is a really enjoyable place to spend some time with friends and enjoy a hot drink with some fantastic baked treats! Great breads are available here as well. They host musical acts frequently in the evening so be sure to check with them to see when their next event is, you will not be disappointed.

I want this Bakery/Cafe to be available. FOREVER! There are so many positives, can't say enough about them. We need you Nanaimo Bakery & Cafe!

Excellent bakery. Great treats for the kids. Always friendly and I LOVE what they stand for.

Was happy with the service since June of this year would call in in the morning place a order then pick it up which was very convenient, but today we placed our order and was told we can’t do that which was not the case before, when in person was met by a rude greasy looking manager I’ve never seen before, saying we can’t place orders and if we placed a order say Friday it would be full price Saturday, they don’t bake Saturday morning so they want us to pay full price on old bread.

With the rudeness and the stingy tactics my family and I are not coming back.

I asked Nanaimo Bakery to put together breakfast for 10-14 people at work. One of my co-workers said it was the best breakfast sandwich he'd ever had. Big thumbs up!

Bright spacious place with yummy eats. They seem to do full breakfasts. Drip refills for $1. Had a blueberry bar and a coffee. Caught up on my messages. Outdoor seating too.

Friendly staff! We enjoyed the baked goods when visiting Nanaimo. Kid-friendly and lots of space inside for seating. They had some great local artisan products for sale around the café.

I'm French and came before taking the ferry, bought sandwiches and quiches. It was delicious, I was able to eat my first Nanaimo bar, thank you for this good memory. There is a lot to choose from in the store, and the employees are all very friendly.

It was OK, a bit disappointing with their sandwich menu. Nice that they did have there breakfast menu open until 2: 30 otherwise we would have most likely walked out. The breakfast sandwich looked great but was bland. My friend bought 5 different bakery items and said they were not that great. I'm really sad with this review as this bakery has been in operation for years.

Love the updates. Delicious bakery that you can taste the quality ingredients. The rosemary walnut cookies are delicious. Bonus is the craft goods that are sold there. I bought some gorgeous quilts!

Very cozy and spacious bakery with some tables to sit and enjoy your treats. The selection of confections was good, and everything we tried was quite tasty. What I really appreciated, however, were the friendly and personable staff, who were more than willing to share a quick laugh and offer some pressure-free recommendations.

We visited this bakery on a road trip to BC, when we had taken the ferry over to Nanaimo. Of COURSE we had to buy Nanaimo bars while in Nanaimo! The bakery was easy to find with lots of parking. The inside of the bakery surprised me with how large and spacious it was. The tables were laid out nicely and there was a variety of art displayed on the walls - I loved that touch. They bakery offers local goods such as jams, mustards, dry soup mixes and so on. We chose a jam and a "Mustard Lady" mustards as well as Potato Leek soup mix - before we even got to the bakery order area! We ordered 4 Nanaimo bars and a cheese bread. The staff were very friendly, especially when we told them we were from Manitoba and wanted to get our Nanaimo bars in Nanaimo. Another customer also chatted with us while she waited to pay. We placed coffee and tea orders at a separate counter and enjoyed our desserts at a cute table along the wall where we could look at some of the art. It is a lovely place. We enjoyed this bakery very much.

Cute little bakery/café. My daughter was getting a facial in the area & I needed somewhere to kill some time. I had a nice cup of tea, a potato curry roll, & a chocolate croissant. Reasonable prices, friendly staff, comfortable large & spacious caféto enjoy their baked goods. Was $10.29 after tax & a $1 tip I gave

The food is all freshly made and even real whipped cream on the pastries! I enjoyed the breakfast very much and the price was exceptional. $10! + coffee of course. Service is always great when I'm there. I'm starting to go there weekly of late. Thanks so much to everyone there!
