Nando's Davie & Howe (Downtown)

My first time at Nandos wasn't that good. I went there twice more and then they were really awesome. Sometimes an extra chance to switch your opinions makes the thing. I got the peri peri chicken bowl and it was really tasty.

Nando's Peri-Peri Chicken is always a nostalgic thing in my country, so after coming to Vancouver, I tried the half chicken; it is a real crowd-pleaser and famous for its deliciously spicy flavour that's just right. The chicken is juicy and packed with taste, making every bite something to look forward to. What is remarkable is that you can choose from many different sides to go with it. Whether you are in the mood for creamy mashed potatoes or light and fluffy rice, there is something for everyone. It makes the meal not just tasty but also fun to customize. Got a bowl for takeout lunch and it was delicious! Staff was very nice would recommend and was very fast

Ordered via ubereats pick up because of a promotion.went to the restaurant to pick up my order once the app said that my order is ready.when i went there and showed my app, i was told to wait.when i asked if it may be a 5 minute wait, the cashier said "5 minutes, 10 minutes, itll be ready when its ready" and then and shrugged.this was around 11: 40pm on friday of november 17th.i honestly thought that she thought i was rushing her, so i told her that i came to the restaurant because the app said the order was ready.she then repeated the "5 minutes, 10 minutes, itll be ready when its ready. " when i asked her why then does the app show that its ready, she raised her voice and said "because it takes forever and the food will get cold". This doesnt even make sense.mistakes can happen especially near closing; i really do understand that, but the person i spoke to (presumably female and caucasian) was incredibly rude and clearly didnt care.i didnt even bother waiting; immediately left as there was no way i was going to eat anything that was associated with such a rude employee.lost my appetite.

These people are literally the nicest people you’ve ever met! I go here again and again and have ALWAYS had the best service each time! Really appreciate their friendliness and customer service.

Very disappointed in my visit to this Nando’s location. This location is very small in size and gives the fast food vibe which is different than other Nando’s locations in Canada and the US. The service was terrible, rude employees and they assign you to tables rather than letting you choose on your own. The worst thing was when one of the employees demanded to take the sauce bottles from my table when I was still using them. Her argument was that they are closing and that was 40 minutes before the official closing time.

Quick, tasty and reasonable prices. Had the Chicken Peri Ranch Crunch Salad. Loved the dried chick peas!

The lady at the cashier was so rude. We went to the restaurant for dine-in at 9: 50 as Google shows they close at 11, but that lady told us they will close dine-in in 10 minutes. She spoke like she does not know any customer service.
Except for one lady, the employee was so nice.
If the restaurant close at 11, they should not let the customer go at least until 10: 30.
The rudest staff I've ever seen.
The owner or the manager should do something about this situation as there are lots of bad reviews with the same employee. (It seems like they did not do anything with this situation as the bad review started a few months ago)

Their sauce is amazing! The only thing is that in this one they don't offer bottomless drinks like they do in other locations. Other than that it's amazing!

Tonight I visited this place to order food, a kind cashier was taking my order, and suddenly another girl jumped in very rudely. I am standing there and right on my face, she is saying to the cashier “he will take 20 mins to order” never-mind.

I was ordering for 10 people, is it that bad to take 2 mins to order something?

If that is your customer service, I don’t believe I would ever want to step into this store.

Order HUMMUS almost 8 dollars and I hot this tiny super tiny paper container and also same situation with CHEESECAKE. Size are like BABY food but PRICE is quite ADULTS size.

I am a fan of Nando's for over ten years. From Ottawa, Ontario to Vancouver BC.
Recently my lovely taste Lemon herbs has been changed to Hot taste and I am so unhappy about it. Please bring back the Lemon Herb one.
The Nando's we went today, they weren't responsible well. I don't go there anymore.

I really like this as a change from supermarket rotisserie chicken. Much more juicy and flavorful. Side are also a nice change. I get the mildest chicken the tummy won't take too much spice. Made up for it with peri fries. Added a Caesar salad to modify it all. Very enjoyable. Used to regularly go to Nando when ihad ateen ager tofeed but had gotten away from it in recent years. Certainly more expensive thhan KFC but you get what you pay for. Only criticism is the one one Davie has stairs to dining roon.i use a scooter or walker so only use take out

Good food, good service, pleasant surroundings. They were very accommodating which made an outing with a baby in tow so much easier.
Loved the South African themed art on the wall.

Best chicken I’ve ever eaten! A wise man suggested it to me and totally worth it! I’m definitely becoming a regulare here!

The food here used to be delicious. Not anymore. Be careful. Second time getting sick. When I call to inquire the staff DOES NOT CARE THAT THE FOOD IS MAKING PEOPLE SICK

As always, I loved the food. However my experience this time shattered me completely. After waiting outside for a table of 3, we were given a table in patio by a server. While we were ordering the food, one of the supervisor, Saifullah came and started pulling our chairs and asked us to go and wait outside as there are some other clients waiting before us. We were shocked how could he behave like this when a server brings us in settled us and the other person insulting us to move from there without being courteous. This happened due to no system or procedure in place for waiting, unlike other good restaurants, the reception staff should have taken phone numbers to call us on our turn.
The management must look into this as the whole incident upset the family and made us felt insulted.

Took a friend for lunch here and I liked it table service should improve considering considering restrictions limit capacity

Great food, the Irish waitress was fantastic. Absolutely a great place to go. Reasonable prices.

The naughty natas had the taste of the paper bag, I couldn't eat them. The chicken was good though.

First time we ordered at this restaurant from doordash. We ordered the Classic at $36.62 and we are sold! It was very fast and quick. Food was still hot. Chicken was so yummy, fries are tasty and garlic bread was good too. It’s too much for two person!
Will definitely order again soon.

They are good as usual. The server did forgot an order of chicken livers though. However upon showing the receipt next morning they prepared a new one for us, free of charge. Also they were kind enough to reheat some of the old food we brought back.

Terrible portion sizes. Don’t ever order the chicken bowl. It looks like left over chicken scraps. No breast or thigh.just a few thin, tiny scraps of chicken.

Unbelievably rude service, can’t believe what is happening to this branch! Person taking my order did not want anyone in the restaurant, tired maybe but don’t be rude to customers!

Always get takeout order so no idea about the dine services. But their 10 whole chicken wing are surprisingly delicious which is worth to driving 100 miles to try.

Best place to have nandos, better than Toronto's nandos why, i had hot and lemon and herb from toronto they all tasted the same but after ordering from this place it actually taste hot and lemon and herb.

Make sure to double check your order when picking up your food. People who work there cannot follow simple instructions. They often miss something.

Staff are pleasant and helpful in guiding you through the menu. Must be popular with locals, as there was a lineup of food couriers on bike, making deliveries. The chicken is very good. I had rice with mine, and both were spiced perfectly. I highly recommended this restaurant.

Good staff and food. The place was a bit dirty. We had 12 people and got seated quickly and without issues. Nando's food is excellent!

Nandos is always great. This location had nice staff and the food was great. Fryer was down when I visited, which is disappointing, so no wedges or chips.

This place is a stripped down ordinary Nandos. It is smaller and does not have the pop machine which other Nandos have, so you are stuck with bottles of lukewarm drinks.

Typical Nando's. I think they are are open late (12am) which is cool. Could be a little cleaner. Noticed ants crawling around while I was ordering food, bit that could just be a one time thing

Whether you want it plain, in the middle, or all the way spicy, Nando's has got you covered. Try their peri fries and all sides! They're so good!

Great chicken, solid sides. Very flavorful and a unique taste like I've never had before. Overall very impressive food for a quick service restaurant. Unfortunately, service was mediocre at best, with some staff downright grumpy.

Good overall, If you are craving chicken their hot sauce its the best. It's a very casual spot to enjoy your food:)

Visit every time we come to Vancouver. It becomes like a craving you have to satisfy. Our friends who haven't been here look at us strangely when we start raving about it. This time my wife found a new favourite the chicken and halloumi salad. I tasted it and may have to get it next time. We also buy the sauces to tide us over til we can get back.

Food was great as per Nandos usual experience (chicken super tasty and tender) and service was excellent with staff being friendly, checking on us half way through and keeping seating area clean. Great experience.

Their Nando's sauce is incredible. Food is flavorful and cook well. Always come here when I am in town

A good Nando's location. Some of the chicken (such as the skewers) need to be avoided as the kitchen tends to over cook them. The standard Nando's dinners are on point though which is the important part.

Nando's is a very great restaurant. They have so many kinds of chicken, from deep fried to baked chicken. They have so many different kinds of sauces such as honey-garlic, lemon, spicy, pepper, salty, etc. My favorite flavor is super hot red pepper sauce. It is so yummy.
Also the staff are kind and they give huge portions. The side dishes are excellent too, such as the salads, french fries, and nuts & seeds.

Food is good. But make sure you check your to go order, they often forget cutlery, salad dressing and c.utlery

Service was good, food was good too only it needs some new furniture as it's showing a large amount of wear and tear.

Excellent place to eat chicken and at a good location near downtown. I recommend getting a whole chicken for 3-4 people, or half the chicken for 2-3. Out of all the sauces I recommend the medium hot sauce.

I ordered takeout and I got my food quickly and It was very delicious but the reason I gave three stars is because the woman that handed me the bag of food was not very nice. She called my name and handed me the bag without even looking at me, making an uncomfortable face while doing that. She probably was having a bad day, but still don't put it out on your customers.

Pretty good service and the chicken quality and quantity was better than some of the other locations I've been to in the past.

Probably the most irish or english staff very acomodating considering how busy this place is the wings are awesome and the crisps done right

I think here is always popular. Good price and good food. I love peri peri souce. One of the most important reason is that they open late night!

I've never had an issue with the quality of the food here, although portions are very small and I once ordered a wrap that had nearly no chicken inside. The sad part is the tables are constantly dirty, the sauce bottle constantly sticky and so u waste your first napkin cleaning your hands before u even get near your food!

I used to really love Nando's. But sadly over the past year the customer service has really gone down the drain.
For instance, tonight I went in to Nando's looking to have supper after having to pull some unexpected overtime at work.
Both tills were open, but one till was for walkins and the other till was for "plates to go" or whatever the hell it's called.
No matter how long the line-up was, there was no way the girl running the "plates to go" till was going to lower herself to serving mere peasants that walked in off the street.
If Nando's wishes to embrace the "plates to go" business model, that's fine. Shut down the other till and get table service so that I'm not standing in the line-up for 20 minutes while the dine-in-till keeps getting interrupted handing orders over to bicycle couries and the "plates to go till" is just ignoring everyone in the line-up.

I realize that Nando's will have to lose a lot of business before they decide to put "in store" customers first, but I'm not coming back until Nando's stops treating in-store customers like a hassle and an annoyance.

The service is friendly and fast. I like the patio on the front it is better than sitting inside in those hot summer days

If you like chicken then you can’t not love this place. The meat is always tender and is cooked to order. The sauces are unreal! You have tons of choices from white meat to wings and legs. Chicken burgers, salads, basically anyway you can think of chicken being prepared it’s here. The sides are just as nice as the main. The coleslaw is fresh and crunchy. The fries are just right and not too salty. The spicy peas are awesome. They serve beer and soft drinks. Great spot. I’ll be back for sure.

Nandos is delicious and well priced for the quality of chicken. Just be careful with ordering individual sides. Rather split sides.
