Nando's Richmond North (Garden City)

Delicious, we ordered the whole chicken plate. Less crowded because it's surrounded by all the other restaurants so the dining experience is great.

I prefer the one in the food court, service was not good and I’m wondering why we have to order at the counter even though it’s designed as a restaurant. We had to pay tip even though we were not happy with the service. Food was okay for the most part. Bad service, I don’t like his attitude, not customer friendly.

Placed a nice big order by phone at 4: 24 and was told it would be ready in 10 to 15 min.get there 20 minutes later i got my food at exactly 5: 16 pm. Got cold food for dinner i paid 70 bucks for.and all they had to say was sorry

Food is awesome as always but these napkins were smelling like they were printed fresh/10-15 minutes earlier. I could litterly smell the ink.

Such a confusing restaurant to be in. Don't know if I was dining in or taking out. They give you a table but you have to go to the counter and order. They bring the food but you have to go get your own utensils, napkins, and sauce (drinks too). The portion size is small and anything other than the chicken is bang on average.

Chicken tasted old. Mash potatoes we’re burnt, looked disgusting looked like bread. The woman said it’s been in A microwave which sounds old and gross.
Never coming back to this place.
I gave 3 stars because everyone was really friendly.
Also portions are smaller than before!

This was a fantastic Nandos location. Good area, and enough free parking. The restaurant itself was clean and nice inside, and the staff were friendly too.

As usual the food was fantastic and the prices fair. I’d love to come again.

My family and I had a horrible dinner experience here. We ordered our food and was given an order of garlic bread after 10 minutes. 20 minutes passed by and everyone else have received their order except us. I brought my receipt to the counter and asked if there is any problem with my order as we have not received our chicken order after 30 minutes. The waitress was snarky and asked "you didn't received anything? " I said "all I received was an order of garlic bread. " The waitress looked in disbelief and I added "you can check my table that all I have is a small empty plate for the order of garlic bread. " She then agreed to look into my order. Our order finally came 5 minutes after my inquiry. The waitress offered no apology for the delay or any explanation for the delay. It is fine to say you missed the order, at least show me you are accountable for your mistake. Yes, the store seemed to be under staffed, but it doesn't mean unapologetic poor service. I am not returning again.

Love this place. So nice to sit down and eat here.i make it a mission to always stop by when visiting Canada from the US

Nandos has some of the best chicken in the world so there's that. Good sides and do yourself a favour and get the tarts even though they are ugly.

Waited 35 minutes for our order, i noticed that some people behind us already got their orders and we still havent got ours, we followed up, the guy gave us a to go box we said we havent ate yet.then waited again before we got our food! 2 servers walking back and forth near us and seems like we doesnt exist, and after all the confusion no one ever bothered to apologize to us after what happened.bad customer service! Not eating here again

The overall experience was fairly pleasant. My only issues are that the pastel de natas were a bit small, and had rather stale pastry. Also that the white meat had a tendency of being very dry, and somewhat unpleasant. The decor definitely has a kind of Afro-Brazilian flare. Service was quick and simple. One exceptionional area of the service was that they had plate sizes displayed at the front desk.

Love me some Nandos! The chicken skewers are good lunch option with some peri peri fries. The corn is also really goof. Love how you can mix and match foods and spiciness levels. The lemon and herb is my favorite, medium is good but definitely has a little bite.

Came back for lunch today, my meal was overcooked and the skin was like leather. I asked if they could make me another one but was told that its because i ordered it plain. Ive been here several times and its usually moist and very good tasting. The lady refuse to give me a refund or have another one made with 95% of the food still on my plate. Ordered again today, 05,19,2022 never got anything free from u guys from the past, another bad order, i got stale peri fries and half warm, half cold, half chicken. Fries where cold.and hard and stale. Another $30 down the drain. Maybe i should have erased the review before ordering lol wotand money.

I feel Bad, I request them to cancel the order. They still brought the food to my door and refunded me. I will have to pay u for this.

Yummy chicken! I really enjoyed the vibes. It did not feel like a fast food place. We dined in and enjoyed our stay.

Stopped here before noon on Saturday (2/26) with my family. Very let down with this location overall. A shame, because I am a life long fan of Nandos and I eat the same exact basic thing every single time. I'll take the extended drive to Ironwood before I stop here again. Food was meh at best, orders were messed up, and the staff weren't helpful or pleasant to deal with (which was unusual for Nandos). At first all seemed fine, but once the food came that's when the disappointments piled on and everything took a complete 180.

It was a great experience the staff was so friendly. They took care of all our needs. I have worked in this Food and Beverage Industry and I could say that they were professionals and knew exactly how to manage a restaurant. Amazing. The food was good as well. This will be my go to for Saturdays!

My favourite restaurant. Only wonders about the food. But what I believe was the Manager on the morning shift just now. Asian lady with a blue/white shirt. February 15 2022. Like minutes ago. Has a really rude attitude and screamed at a delivery girl picking up some food.
I was shocked at the attitude. Apparently the girl was telling her she had food on her carrier bag and didn’t care. Literally threw food on top without caring. I had to help the girl outside. She totally ruined a cake inside the bag and now that poor girl it’s gonna be in trouble. I hope I don’t come here next time she’s working. Scared of being yelled at or treated with a rude attitude.

Haven't been to a nandos in a while, went with my friend for lunch. Service was friendly and the decor and atmosphere was pleasantly eclectic. Food was decent but the portions were a bit small. Would go again

Where do I begin, me and my girlfriend went to Nandos for lunch. Upon arriving we where greeted by Marissa. We ordered our food and where directed to take our seats. Upon the food arriving we had a staff member come up to us that he had billed us incorrectly during the meal. This was fine as the staff member had made an honest mistake as he was a new employee. This is where things turned bad, Marissa decided to yell at this employee in-front of everyone SCOLDING him like he was a child. She was so loud everyone in the establishment could hear, almost like a drill sergeant. This was ridiculous, this continued throughout our whole meal and I truly felt bad for the employee. Once I confronted her she said it was her “tone” of voice. I went as far as asking the employee if he was okay as he was ridiculed and embarrassed. The employee responded“ this happens all the time I try not to take it personally”. I’m astonished upon which owner let Marissa be a manager. I would personally leave 0 stars if it was an option. Your manager should uphold reasonable care and decency rather then tormenting and harassing employees.

Not happy with service at all, very poor customer service and glasses were very dirty, I returned them and asked for clean one, the waitress came with same one but washed as she said, and giving me reasons that it's supposed to be like this because dish washer cleans it and the marks are there, there is nothing we can do about it.

Extremely poor behaviour from a manager! I can’t believe with that skill how she can be a manager. Poor behaviour and attitude.

The customer service at this specific location is amazing. Wether u are entering the restaurant or exiting u will be greeted.
Most friendly staff and food was amazing as it ever could be.

I know Nando's is capable of 5 stars but this location really needs some feedback.

1) customers seated at tables with prev.tables food/utensils present

2) food is being cooked faster than they can bring out. Our chicken was warm and not hot by the time it got to our table

- There's no organization with the staff, they are inexperienced teens and/or adults that are trying their best. Management needs to help them out by better training or hire additional staff during service

Overall, you should avoid this Nando's location but other ones (i.e. Market crossing and Kingsway are great!)

I tried ordering for pick up online, I got a message saying the payment wasn't authorized and I tried a second time but same message. I finally tried with a different card and it went through. I checked my account to find out I was actually charged both times I first tried.
I WENT TO SEE THE MANAGER AT THE LOCATION AND HE TOLD ME "IT HAPPENS A LOT AND THERE'S NOTHING HE CAN DO. He asked me to wait for a couple of days and call them, I called today only to be informed by the manager that they can't see the payment and there's nothing they can do about it.
HE HUNG UP THE PHONE SHORTLY AFTER! Now I have to spend house on hold with the bank to try and dispute these charges. Is this how Nandos Richmond treats it's customers of their hard earned money? Or is this because I'm a person of color?

A wonderful peri-peri experience. We had a large group today and ordered several menu items. The chicken was fantastic, both the butter chicken and the hot peri-peri, but the two unexpected stars of the show were the brussells sprouts and (especially) the fries, which were perfection.

We have been to this restaurant about 5-6 times now and have always found it to be lousy.
The staff is always lost.
I am a vegetarian, one time I asked for a veggie sandwich, they gave me a chicken sandwich.
Another time, I asked for food to go, but they brought it on a plate
Another time, I ordered food for my office, and they forgot to send food for two people.
The quality of the food is also not so good.
So a below average restaurant for me at a great location.

Haven't had Nando's in years, they don't provide the sauce packs anymore? I know they sell sauces by the bottle, but they used to give plenty of sauce packs before. Yesterday the chicken was still pretty good, but it's so unsatisfying without their delicious sauce since I found out my order came sauceless after I got home.

One of the cleanest places. The girl with the scarf in her hair was very polite and friendly when attending us at the counter and serving at the table.

The staff here are amazing. Honestly food is good, its a nandos. But the service is amazing. The staff here always seem happy, relaxed, friendly and helpful.

I just shopped some groceries from nearby Walmart and felt like to grab some food from Nandos to have it on the way back to home. As soon as I entered Richmond nandos I saw bunch of grumpy faces with an attitude of why are you even here, I am pretty sure every employee was aware that some customer entered the shop. I too work in a restaurant and I treat customers like family and greet each one of them with a smile and attention. I entered and stood there for a minute and I felt I am literally invisible to everyone. Not a single employee told me even a hi. The front guy had a phenomenal level of attitude and I had to raise my voice asking if I can order and he replied with a heavy voice (we r closed). I wish I could have given u guyz -5 star. Please train your employees to greet customers and have some knowledge pertaining to what is hospitality. Don’t just work for the sake of salary. I hope the front guy whom I talked to will read my review and hopefully becomes civilized enough to have some threshold level of manners. The lady again who saw me walking straight to the food chain didn’t even say hi or looked at me. They all acting as if I am not supposed to be there. Just don’t go to this place. Reliable grilled chicken chain. Clean location. All about the sauces! More effort could be put into the sides, as they are pretty standard. Also, beyond the chicken, the portion sizes of the sides are not generous at all. That being said, I will return as I can resist drowning my chicken in their sauces.

First time ordering Nando's and I'd been excited to try it. We received our order and were instantly disappointed. First, they missed an entire order of fries. Then when we opened our boxes we were met with the most disgusting display of chicken we'd ever seen. It was grey, most of the skin was missing and liquid had pooled in the bottom of the boxes. Okay, let's see how it tastes, maybe we can salvage this. We plate the chicken and reluctantly dig in. Where is the spice, the flavour? What we had was plane, poorly cooked grey chicken, just as it look. So, we sit, eat our one box of soggy fries and realize that we'll be cooking tonight after all, then kiss $40 goodbye. Never again Nando's.

The chicken sandwich we ordered just tasted like chilies.may be because we ordered very hot! If they had used some mayo it could balance the heat. Due to covid the cutlery and sauces we recieved were disposible, similar to take out or delivery services which was disappointing too

Great service paired with great nandos peri peri chicken. This location doesnt seem as busy as the other locations so its great to bring my kids here. Its self service like usual and you have to grab your own cutlery, sauces and order up front. Restuarant is clean and has a fun vibe to it.

Got my order totally wrong, manager is too busy on a conferance call to help me and skip the dishes is a joke as well. Kids not happy wasted $50 on a family pack, now im off to macdonalds cause the kids are hungry.

We orders the classic platter for two of us. We received our garlic bread promptly but waited another 30min before a staff member came to ask if we have received our meal yet. Huge waste of time and we ultimately had to ask for a refund since we were now in a hurry. They refunded our tip in cash which was annoying also? Not sure why they couldn’t refund the full thing to our credit card. Nothing was offered for our inconvenience. I would rather brush my teeth with sandpaper than go back to this location.

1. Sangria consists of 3 oz wine, one slice of orange, and orange soda.

2. Mash potato’s are instant and microwaved.

3. Chicken sandwich was microwaved as well. Bread was chewy and stale.

When the server asked if we were enjoying our food. I said “No” and she’s replied “oh sorry”, then walked away. No one came to speak to us. So we walked out.

We've been here a few times due to my 7 yr old son's repeated request. I find this location an excellent venue for dining out as it is clean and not too bad with its customer service, healthier choice, too. Nando's celebrated mother's day by giving out a $10 discount voucher plus its famous peri sauce.

This location of Nando's Chicken has improved somewhat although every time I order this chicken through skip the dishes and ask for extra sauce they completely ignore that request even though the sauce is what made this business as successful as it is so I don't understand how my request can be ignored. I order a whole chicken and they give me 4 packets of spicy sauce and it's not even spicy its medium.

For ignoring my request you only got two stars I order extra Nando's hot sauce all the time and all you give me is 4 packets for the whole chicken? What a joke there is a Burger King nearby that's recently improved I I'd rather go to that than put up with your constant ignoring of my requests. The chicken is good the sauce is the open secret and you're skipping out on that so I will not be ordering from you anymore.

Great fun atmosphere clean and the food has flavor. Sadly the chicken wasn't cooked but they quickly made me another to correct the issue. The space is clean with moderate bathrooms. I'd like to give a 3.5 but would be honest giving 4 stars. The staff are very welcoming so for that reason I'm reaching deep for a 4 star review.

I would say very stylish, cozy and modern restaurant. Great food and delicious meals.
One thing they need to work on is level of customer acknowledgment, greeting and cashier service.
I found it very basic level and inexperienced. The young cashier girl was very fast to take the order and not paying attention to customer and talking with background while taking order. At some point I would say, impolite!
When we entered to restuarant no one even greet us!
This stylish restaurant needs higher level of customer service to be five star. My experience goes to about two months ago.

Lake many other Nandos I have been to, this location was also pretty good, excellent service and chicken

I normally love eating at Nandos however this location seems to be the worst the chicken is always under cooked and the chicken was dry. Worst Nandos ever.

. Everything was good this time. (our family's last visit a few months ago wasn't that good, but we thought to give it another shot this evening, and it was as nice as it was in the good old days, since our first visit at Ackroyd's almost 20 years ago.).

. Special THANK YOU to SUZAN, a great manager with a very pleasant attitude, and to DANIEL, who made us all feel that we should come back just to enjoy his friendliness. Great people once more!

Food is always fresh and delicious. Service could be improved. They aren't bad, just serviced by very young adults and of course there is room for improvement. Otherwise the place is clean food is good

Visité vendredi 15 mars pour le déjeuner. Très bonne nourriture, ambiance agréable, joli décor. La caissière était souriante. La jeune femme qui débarrassait les tables était adorable. Mais le jeune homme qui accueille à la porte était très désagréable. Il pourrait commencer par dire bonjour et avoir le sourire! Ca donne davantage envie de repartir quand on nous accueille tel un robot, sur un ton sec, par "sur place, ou à emporter? "! Ensuite quand ce jeune homme apporte les plats aux tables, il pourrait annoncer le plat ou au moins souhaiter un bon appétit, plutôt que le déposer sans dire un mot! Bref, vraiment désagréable! Pensez que vous avez un travail de service, et que vous travaillez en équipe, donc si vous voulez que vos collègues aient des pourboires, ne les sanctionnez pas par votre attitude désagréable!

Chairs and table was not very clean. Food is so so when compared with the other locations. Will not come to this location again.

I find Nandos chicken tasty. The wait seems overly long. I wish they had better side plates options like quinoa.

They seemed to have excellent customer service at first but when we changed our minds to eat in instead of pick up their moods changed. I get that it is annoying but to act in an ill manner is not good customer service. Food is always good from nandos though. Only reason why its neutral review

This location continually undercooks the chicken so that the skin is never crispy, even if you as for it well done. You’ll always get a soft, jelly-like skin on your chicken here.

The staff are helpful, but they needs to work on their food quality, we order chicken sandwich and nachos, the chicken was dry even with sauce on it, the nachos were alright.

Good food, good service, good value for money! I love the interior design and the marketing materials design. Very nicely done.

If you are hungry for a portuguese style chicken then this is the place to go.it is comparable to Barcelos portuguese style chicken
