Nando's South Burnaby (Big Bend)

Nando's staff is very helpful and welcoming. They have great selection of food and tastes so good. I love coming there.

Absolute disgusting. Ordered the full pack using Uber eats. Selected the option to cut the chicken in 4 piece. They cut the chicken into 8 pieces and guess what. It was missing 2 pieces. A whole chicken breast was missing. On top of that the chicken was stale and disgusting. It felt like they microwaved left over chicken and doused it in peri sauce to cover the abomination. That’s not all. The fries were horrible! Felt like old left over fries that were refried and burnt. So many bitter, hard and burnt fries. Horrendous. I called them 3 times and no one picked up. Sent Uber eats the pictures of the food and filed a complaint. Thank god they were able to refund the amount. What a shame. Can’t trust restaurants. Seemed like an easy way to get rid of old stale food and make a quick buck.

The chicken skewers have become smaller and smaller. We have been going to this location from the start of business here. Couple of skewers were all burnt up. But the girl Simran was nice to get us an extra one. Thanks to her we didn't leave disappointed. But it's not value for money. Barcelos has better meat and size of skewers.

The food is really delicious. However I think the buns are a little too delicate to hold the chicken sandwich with all the sauce in there. Also, It would be nice if there was a mild sauce at the condiment bar and not just a medium sauce for those of us who can't handle quite that much heat.

I missed lunch after getting stuck in traffic and ended up ordering half the vegetarian options for dinner and I regret nothing. The staff were very friendly and the food came out quickly. Throughly stuffed!

Very slow service, takes forever to give out a order so think twice before going there on your lunch break or any other breaks as you will finish your break waiting for the order

Chicken was on point, cooked perfectly, I asked for extra basting so it wasn’t too dry. Shout out to the lady at the front who gave me the bag of extra hot sauce. You have no idea how much something so small like that really made my day. You are AMAZING! Also, thank you for being one of the few places left that still provides normal cutlery and not that wooden garbage that makes your food taste like you’re eating with literal cardboard.

We order party pack with 2 sides and bread when my mom got to work she is missing 1 side and bread i called the next day the lady insist they put all together, no its missing one side and bread I WILL NOT WASTE TIME CALLING THEM IF I KNOW MY ORDER IS COMPLETE, then she said she will call me back SHE DIDNT CALL ME!

I also work at food and beverages industry in a bigger company so we value our costumer.

This location Nandos was so lovely i just had to write on here. They went above and beyond normal service. They even sang Happy Birthday for my brother which meant a lot! Thank you Nandos!

The staff is super rude. The girl name Gigil was rude.
The food was stale and when asked for receipt they gave a credit card copy but not actual receipt.
No napkins provided, and they don’t have sauce on the tables and provide one sauce little container.

I've frequented over a dozen of Nando's across the UK and Canada. This location, although serves standard Nando's quality food, has the worst service. I've visited this location a few times over last few months, each time I've encountered a different server, but they were equally rude, lacking any sign of patience or customer service, and always had heavy Indian accent that was hard to understand. I couldn't help but to wonder if the manager of this location ever trains their staff in basic customer service etiquette.

We ordered chicken bowl from doordash. They forgot utensils and we add more chicken but we didn’t get.

I see there is a mother days promotion that they show case on there window. However when I was about to pay. They said it’s was expired already and it’s no longer available. So I ask why it’s still promoting on the window. They said they cannot take it down until they have a new poster to replace it. Food it’s good just very confusing why they advertise on the window but it’s not available.

I ordered food, but they did not put a fork, I called, instead of apologizing, they hung up on me, We will not go there again

The prep is a bit of a hit or miss with this one. There's a marked difference in the quality compared to the one in Queensborough.

Service was really good2-3 months ago but now i think staff has been changed and the service here really sucks … no one cares about the customer service anymore. Not coming anymore

Terrible Service. I’ve been trying to dine-in twice now and each time staff have told me the dining area is closed, sign on the door says open till 8pm, I was there at 7pm. I just left and went across the street to Barcelos who were very happy to greet us. I will never be back to this location and will not definitely not recommend them to family or friends.

Always fast and tasty. Great location. My only complaint is that the chocolate cake was a bit oily the last time I ordered it.

Ordered 11: 15 am now sitting here waiting 12: 17 and they just told me 10 more minutes. This is unexeptable

The staff were so rude to us we left. We arrived at 7 and the sign on the door said they were open until 8. We sat at one of the empty tables to look at the menu. Then e were told by the staff person who came over that they were closing in 45 minutes. She was so rude and clearly didnt want us to eat in, so we left. That was our first time at nandos and very likely our last.

Went for a quick lunch today. I take one star only because they didn't have any vegan option on the menu so I had to look around to see what I could get. But I got portobello and mushroom halloumi wrap as vegan and removed the dressing and cheese from it. It was delicious though. The restaurant was tidy and clean too.

Ordered today on Uber eats and I received severely burnt chicken skewers. Like we are talking black and crispy charcoal and shouldn’t ever have left the restaurant. I have a photo of what I received and it was completely inedible- went into the trash.

I ordered a family pack for dinner tonight, it includes a full chicken, two large sides and garlic bread. It was a take out order that my husband picked. When we opened the package there was no sauce, not even one napkin and the large garlic mashed potatoes container was 3/4 full. I immediately called to notify the location, no one answered. I remember this happened to me a few months ago when a whole menu item was left out. I let it go as I was rushing to my kids practice and didn’t bother to follow-up. Anyway, the service has slipped and I’m done going here.

I also emailed their corporate office, but I doubt anyone will follow-up.

I have to say it was really good. I tried the bowl with chicken, rice, hummus and salad with the one before the hottest sauce they offered and it was just great.

Disappointing food quality and service.
The store hour at the door said closing at 8 pm, but we were told they were closing at 7 so we were asked not to sit inside! Our food was ready at 7: 15 and there were still customers inside eating their food with a bunch of emoty tables for more to dine at. It did not make sense at all but no point in arguing. The fries were poor quality and too salty. We are not going back to this location.

Brutal service by the young girl working the cashier desk. This is not the first time this has happened. When I walked in, there was 3 of them talking in their own language loudly by the grill. They took a couple minutes and one girl finally came to the counter. I was there about half an hour before they closed. Went up to the counter, I greeted her. She didn’t even say Hi. Okay that’s fine. When I proceeded to order, she cuts me off “we only have chicken. ” I don’t know what that meant so I paused briefly and started ordering again. After she took my order, she asked “is it to go”. I said no I would like to eat here. She replied “take out only. ” You can’t eat here. Please hire some people who follow your rules. Or be clear about the policy. If we can’t dine in half an hour before closing, let your customers know. Like I said this has happened the second time now.

Gone downhill recently.
Chicken often over cooked, just ordered 1/2 chicken to go.got 2 legs and soggy fries. Annoying.

Small but cozy place, delicious food, large portions and fair price. We ate the PERi-PERi Chicken Bowl which is new and we love it. Staff was very friendly and kind.

Half chicken small, but also mangled, and missing meat (?) The drum was stripped of almost all it's meat. Side of corn inedible, couldn't bite into it, it was so hard, like a wooden missile. Coleslaw tasted old, and had very little dressing, maybe evaporated away? Also gave us the wrong sauce for mangled chicken.

It has to be said that we have had decent meals here before, but this one was so bad I had to give my first one star review. Not sure what happened today.

I am a regular customer, I come multiple times a week and the service I recieved was terrible. According to the manager butter cannot be put on the corn if you order medium spice but you can have butter on your corn if it is Lemon & Herb. Ater asking a few times to accommodate this she finally says OK and when I go to continue placing my order I am hung up on by the MANAGER! By the way, they have added butter to my corn on any spice level in the past!

I’ve had Nandos on a few continents and this was not it … chicken was charred and dry and fries well not sure how you mess that up! Not impressed, do better!

Consistently good BBQ chicken and side dishes at Nando’s. We recently ordered their full chicken dinner with sweet potatoes, side of fries, salad and mashed potatoes - all tasty. You must ask for extra hot peri peri sauce! We

Nandos is my favorite restaurant, but this location in Burnaby is terrible. They got my order wrong, then when I asked to have it corrected they tried to redress it, thinking that I would not notice. Dishonest and disappointing.

The washroom did not have soap. You would think that with the Pandemic this would be a priority.

Chicken was dry, the chicken in my burger tasted like it had been reheated, garlic bread was over done that the sides weren't edible, fries were oily. If you want Nandos don't come to this location, would make you hate chicken. Definitely not worth the money you pay.

Won't go back! I had a coupon so went there to use it and regretted it. The service was the usual for low paid Fast Food clerks but the chicken was AWFUL! It was overcooked, old, dry and warm not hot. Later I had a stomach ache. I would rather go hungry than eat Nando's chicken again. I ate at a Nando's in Downtown Vancouver about eight years ago and had the same experience.

Visited here this past Sunday. This place has the best chicken by far. Great selection and very fresh. And even better is the staff, they are extremely helpful and have sweet personalities which made our visit even better! This is not a paid comment either. The rating for this place should be 5 across the board!

We ordered from skip the dishes only to find that our chicken was burnt (tasted like chemicals) and super dry (no sauce on them). The peri chippers were overly salted and overcooked to the point that you couldn't even tell if it was even made from potatoes. On top of all that, they didn't even give any peri peri sauce that usually comes with it (we ordered a full family pack). We usually love ordering from Nandos and never had a problem but ordering from this location was the worst experience by far I've ever had. Anyone reading this, please do not order from this location! The laziness shows in the quality of the food they serve.

First of all we asked to get the food ready by 9.55 sharp when we reach at restaurant at 9.40 food was ready

When we reach home everything was burnt and messed up the person who made it or the person who pack it doesnt have sense of food or complete management is disaster at this location

The food and service were both truly exceptional. This Nando’s location has definitely demonstrated that customer service is their Number 1 priority. I was impressed with how patient and understanding the staff were with the elderly person in our small group. The people here really go out of their way to look after their customers. I plan to become a regular here because of the amazing food and the super nice people.

Nando's is so tasty! The chicken is always so juicy, and the hot peri peri makes me sweat just enough!

Pros: Chickens were seasoned and cooked well, and good size (not too small and not too big)
Cons: Utensils and floors need cleaning. Few chairs need to be replace since they're curving down. A bit crowded since they are trying to fit many tables as they can.

It was my very first time trying Nando's last week and I honestly cannot believe I've never tried it before! The food is impeccable! We ordered from skip the dish this weekend and I'm very impressed that the take-out was just as good as dining in.

Be careful this location are so dirty.i change my glass 4 time they have a lot of lips mark and stain. I like Nandos but this location was so grossly

We love going to Nandos South Burnaby. Their service is absolutely PERFECT.
We live in Champlain but we love their friendly service

Test and quality are certainly great but they probably think that all Canadians are either toddlers or on crash diet. Probably the smallest portion size among the competitors. One person needs to order minimum 2 orders to feel comfortable.

One can never go wrong.but their staff on cash is bit overwhelming with their greeting (way too much) and rushing you to place order. Everything else is great there

Very unfriendly staff I waiting for delivery like 30 minutes and they don't care. I asked couple of Time but they it will be ready in few minutes. And they took a long time.

I really like Nando's and this place is better than the other ones. Mind you that I visited this location only once. It is less busy than the other locations.

You know its a pleasure to go to a quick grill restaurant and get great service and a great meal. Employees there seem to really enjoy there job and it shows.

Nandos seem to have lost their way and continue to make strange decisions. There is no menu to order from behind the counter, they try to seat you and hand you a menu. I guess trying to go upscale but it’s cumbersome and doesn’t work. Customers are confused and the staff are clearly not comfortable either. Food takes waaaaaay to long - embrace being a high end fast food restaurant instead of trying to change a winning formula. I’m going to begin going else where - I want a fast food restaurant to be fast and I want sit down food restaurant to be a classier experience. Your ‘new way’ turns you into a jack of all trades and a master of none. Sort it out nandos - your food tastes good but that’s about the only positive these days

Ordered a chicken wrap + mashed potatoes for delivery.

-Delivery delayed by almost an hour
-Wrap wasn't securely wrapped so half the wrap fell out and splatted on the ground the instant I grabbed it out of the bag
-The other half of the wrap which didn't fall out, had almost no chicken in it, just vegetables
-Didn't include any plastic utensils for the mashed potatoes

Good place, sometimes the chicken is a bit too burnt but overall good servings when you specify exactly what you want. They have promotional deals running all week.

We waited 45mins for uncooked chicken, the girls there were so slow and didn't give attention to anyone (it wasn't busy at all)

Very disappointed this time around (Monday, July 22nd). This is usually our preferred Nando's restaurant but our recent family visit was not good at all. I called in advance and was told that no reservation is needed because they were not that busy. Upon arriving, usually there's a greeter that help you as you come in but for today's visit we had to help ourselves to a table. Also we had to put two small tables together ourselves (table 15 & 16) and there's was a used cup on one of them. After a few minutes I went to the counter and placed my our order. About 7 minutes after placing my family's order we received our garlic bread. Then we waited and waited and waited for our meal. While other guests that ordered after us (mostly take outs) came and went. After exactly 30 minutes I went up to the counter and inquired about our order. The girl that took my order initially asked if she can help and I told her that we are still waiting for our order. It seems that they may have forgotten ours. We eventually got our order but the family size order and the double leg were quite dry. Looks like our order just sat there for a while. I prepaid after I ordered so I included a tip which by this visit's standard was not very deserving. A couple next to us who came 20 minutes after us was more vocal of the wait time. So it will be awhile before we plan on coming back to this location if at all.

Have been there a couple of times in the past few weeks and they have nailed it. The chicken has been juicy and the peri peri sauce is just fantastic, I enjoy the coleslaw too.

I had one of best of customer experiences so far, we visited on Tuesday 13 aug around 6: 15pm, for the very first time to nandos. We had a delicious chicken and the peri peri fries. The customer service was great, team was very polite, and their manager, her name is pavaan was making sure everything is good and enjoying their best food.they gave little samples of olives and nuts to try, I loved it. I will definitely visit again soon and will take more friends along with me as their service is great

Personally, i can go to three other Nando's around my house but i choose this one because the employees are amazing. There was this one girl that welcomed up and was very friendly. Worst Nando’s I have ever been to. Terrible food & extremely rude management! Skip this location it is not worth your time.

Hit or miss at this location. Sometimes it's smooth and food is good. Other times it's a complete disaster behind the counter and nobody knows what they're doing especially the manager. Bones in my Caesar wrap.

The service was very good. All the employes where very friendly. Just dissappointed that they ran out of whole chicken!?

Good chicken and sides. Chicken is a little on the smaller side, but its not deep fried so a good alternative. We usually go mango or lemon and add the spicy sauce after. Good customer service because if you are not satisifed they will take your concerns seriously.

Of course Nandos is generally very delicious. And also this location has a fantastic customer service.

Visited recently. Slow, innattentive service. Fries left out to go cold for 20 mins before the chicken was ready. Took 45-50 mins for a really straightforward take out order, wasnt even busy. Another guest ordered a beer which took the poor girl 15 mins to pour as she kept taking it away to scoop out the foam, before going back to the pump. Doubt she has a 'serve it right' licence. Nice chicken though
