Ron took the time and effort to find the actual issue with our car and fix it (after several failed attempts with other mechanics). Very communicative, honest and friendly staff.

Was incredibly happy with their service and they had my car fixed quickly. They updated me regularly on progress and before doing repairs have me prices. This is the second time I've used mid island automotive and I would continue to use them in the future. Thanks again for all your help!

These guys are truly amazing. We were on a road trip and they squeezed us into their busy schedule and absolutely saved our trip. Ron went out of his way to diagnose and fix our vehicle quick enough so we only had to hire a vehicle for 24 hours. He is an honest, kind and talented mechanic. Communicative, responsive, kind, timely, reliable and trustworthy service. Came from out of province and had to do some repairs on the car to pass inspection, Ron explained what needed to be done, and checked in at every stage around what things would cost and what would be necessary. Cami at the front was also super helpful!

Mechanics knew what they were doing for sure.very good communication by the front desk lady.gave me constant updates by text and phone call.only thing that they were slowed down by was part availability which is plaguing everyone. 100% would go again

Moved to Nanaimo a year ago and needed some work done on my Tahoe. Ron and the team at Mid Island Automotive have been great! They always perform the right checks first to ensure they are only fixing what needs fixing. This practice always saves the customer money and gets the job done right! The front right coupling was malfunctioning, no 4 wheel drive, it was repaired and also the rear brakes. Good fast service!

If there are any surprises I am phoned first to discuss the problem and authorize any additional work needed. I have sent other members of my family as well as friend to this business and all of them echo the same experience.

MIA is a great place for car repair. I thought I will end up changing my car because of the cost which worries me because of my tighter budget. But Ron and his team are really accommodating and honest. I spent less than what I expected. They will diagnose all the problem first and they will let you know, repair only what is really important and not just change everything unless you requested it which will save you money. And now I’m driving my car worry free again. I highly recommend this place no matter how old or what your car is.
