NAPA AUTOPRO - SOARES AUTO REPAIR

I have been taking my vehicles for Soares Auto for many years and the service has always been fantastic. This continued for my recent repair in August 2023. The owner, Joe, is honest, trustworthy and transparent.

Really impressed with the speedy, honest and thorough job done at Soares. Joe had my car in and out in a day and I now have a detailed inspection report that I can see where my car needs work for the future.

Our family takes all 3 vehicles to Joe for 5+ years. He really knows his stuff and is hands on with projects that need extra attention. Joe always takes the time to explain in detail the problems and the work done. I like getting the service records online and the NAPA warranty.

Took mike in for some warranty repair originally done at another Napa Pro. Joe took great care of my car and answers my questions with patience.

Was not impressed. Stopped in to discuss a repair on my car. Admittedly I was not asking for the typical repair for the problem. I had done my research, and am very mechanically capable and the response was "then do it yourself". There was no safety risk, liability or complication for the shop but the arrogance and attitude was less than what I would expect from a service business. Shop across the road completed the repair as asked, no issues at all.

I originally came to Joe’s shop to replace my inner tie rod ends after a tire shop told me they were worn out.

Joe and his team checked and found it was actually the outer tie rod ends that needed replacement which is a much more affordable repair.

I'd been having trouble with acceleration issues, and had to call BCAA to tow my car in downtown Vancouver. A tower recommended Soares. I spoke to a fellow named Joe who made room for me that day. His manner was helpful and friendly. They identified the issue and charged me for around an hour. I'm very impressed with this shop and strongly recommend!

I've brought my 2004 Honda CRV to Joe since moving to Vancouver in 2011. Joe provides honest quotes and is upfront about higher cost jobs, he never pushes or up sales. He often finds ways of making repairs more affordable. I highly recommend him and his team.

Last week my 2006 Tacoma died (total electrical failure) at a busy intersection during the rush-hour at around 5 pm. I found Soares Automotive on-line and spoke with Joe for 5-10 minutes. He correctly diagnosed the issue, and arranged a tow truck to take my car to his shop. A Drake tow truck arrived within 30 minutes. The next day Joe replaced the alternator and I collected my taco that evening. I couldn't get to his shop until 6 pm but he stayed there until I arrived. He then gave me a full account of the repair he had completed, signed me up for roadside assistance (with Napa) and gave me his evaluation of the overall health of my truck. I had discussed service issues with Joe during our phone conversation (my truck is overdue for routine service), and as well as replacing the alternator he had fitted new air filters, replaced the windscreen wipers and vacuumed the interior!

Joe is now my go-to mechanic and I am unreservedly recommending him to all my family and friends. He earned his 5 star rating.
