Naruto Sushi

I get lunch here at least once a week and I appreciate how reliable they are. I will admit it’s not super fancy high end sushi, but it’s classic options and flavours so you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Definitely recommend this place if you’re craving sushi this week. The ‘Happy Combo’ is a great option.

Small, quaint, good quality and personable. The food was delicious and fresh, with a fairly robust menu. Wish they sold beer and sake as I would have stayed all afternoon with the delicious nibbles!

What kind of sushi place sends out orders with no chopsticks. How am I supposed to eat this, with a fork?

I am Mexican and some Canadians came and took the soy from my table to give it to them, because of this I felt discriminated against. Anyway, the food wasn't that good.

Gross, soggy, and cold. I ordered a bento box and a roll. The restaurant placed the bento on its side in a bag that was too small. Why would you place a bento on its side and not place it flat? As a result the miso soup and tempura sauce spilled all over the the entire order which resulted in a soggy inedible mess. I called to let them know what happened and they weren’t interested in rectifying the situation.

Ordered takeout for two on a Saturday night. Food was ready super fast. Cashier friendly.

I usually lower the expectation bar for takeout but this food was surprisingly good by the time I got home, even the karaage, which was still crispy. Someone had cut a steam vent on the styrofoam container. It's the small things that matter.

The sushi was uniformly well made. Nigiri (saba, unagi), summer roll, salmon aburi all delicious. Only complaints are the rolls and aburi fell apart easily. Also, the BC roll was not right: It should have crispy skin, not cooked bone-dry salmon meat, bleah!

TIL there is great sushi on Commercial. I'll be back.

Go-to place for delivery. They charge $3 within a kilometre, then add for each km after that. If you live close, it is convenient. Tempura is pretty good (not soggy). I love futomaki and they usually do a pretty tight roll with all the right ingredients, though I have had a few different ingredients substituted a couple of times and it just made a little dining adventure! Staff is courteous. Note: if you order for delivery, do it early (BEFORE 5: 30) because they tend to get overwhelmed with the dinner rush.

Order 10pcs salmon sashimi but back home turned out it’s only 6pcs! Plz double check while packing up the foods and before handing to customers!

I ordered two happy combos for pick up and it was prompt and easy to pick up. I showed up just after the estimated time and there was no wait. Food wise, everything tasted great and fresh. The spicy tuna avocado was my fave but the chopped scallop roll was also pretty good. The rolls are a good size and has a decent amount of filling. The restaurant is nearby and prices are reasonable, so I will def order again soon.

I have never had salmon maki with such a small piece in it. The salmon was about as thick as a chop stick. It did taste good but this isn't right to have so little amount of salmon in it. Especially right now! Sockeye Salmon is really cheap right now half the price as what it usually is since the commercial fishermen have gotten quite a bit.

Decent Japanese. Nothing spectacular, but solid. Agedashi tofu could be improved, the flour dusting doesn't add any texture

I ordered from here for the first time today and it was completely disappointing. The rice was over cooked and mushy, carrots bland and raw, while the other veggies were over cooked, the teriyaki sauce was very sweet, the California roll tasted off, and the other rolls were generally sub-par and unappetizing, but the most disappointing item was the veggie udon. I’ve never had an udon that was so flavourless, the first thing you taste is water, and I barely got any veggies. I don’t know if this is common for the restaurant or if someone made a mistake. After eating my friend and I both felt sick. I definitely won’t be ordering from here again.

Go to sushi take out spot. Download the app to gather points and get some rewards items for free. Consistent taste and their specialty rolls like JJ and rock n roll are super yum but not crazy expensive. Had a couple of forgotten items now and the. Which although a pain, they are quick to apologize for and add to your account to redeem next time. Busy spot tho so best to order a bit ahead (30 mins if you can).

Thanks for making party trays for our birthday party last week! Everyone loved them they were amazing and so fresh and tasty.

Favourite sushi spot on the drive. Consistently delicious, sashimi is always fresh, sushi is rolled tight, and takeout is always packaged with care. The staff are super friendly as well! Big love

Wonderful tempura, I would go so far as to say it was the best I've ever had! So crispy but also not greasy!

I went on a Sunday and they were super busy, some delivery people were waiting for long time, they might have to hire more staff to improve the service on weekends. I give them five stars because the sushi is super delicious and prices are cheap. Highly recommend

They have fantastic veggie options, love their tofu don, and great service. We picked up our order and got home to find spring rolls courtesy of the house added to our order - what a nice surprise! Thanks, Naruto Sushi team!

Super good sushi for a good price! The rolls are always a little bigger than most places, with seaweed barely touching end-to-end and fillings packed tight. They're super delicious too.

Small quiet little place with quite good sushi. The sashimi was still ice cold when I got it so that's my only complaint. Worth the price 100%

Ordered food for pick up. Supposed to be ready in 30 minutes. 75 minutes and a weak apology. Not acceptable.

For the first time i go there, the man who called jack in front line was a very impolite person and talked to everybody very impolitly.
His behaiviour with customers and delivery guys made me very nervous.
The food also was not good at all.
I never go there again.

Called on the phone and ordered a Maki combo once arrived to the the restaurant lady offered a spicy combo, little names confusion after I gently declined to pick up that order she refused to make another order one,

Very bad customer service.i was given the wrong items during the pick up and was told to drive back to the restaurant to pick up when i got hime.the cashier didn't admit the mistake and blame customer to be careful. Totally disappointed. Food taste not good and portions is small. Not recommended at all

I ordered Togo from this place, it was rocking with orders, amazing how a small place can be so busy! Even though I had to wait 35min. It was worth it! Understandable that it takes longer when it’s so busy! Good job Naruto!

We love Naruto and they are always very kind and professional. The sushi is great and affordable. Today they went above and beyond with extra service. Thank you Naruto!

THEY HAVE AN APP! I have been using it for months. It's great! Very consistent! Delicious, good value. They are firing on all cylinders. Gotta love a local shop the puts this kind of effort into having a webpage, app, and food that hits the spot. Keep it up, Naruto! Stay inspired!

I ordered 1 BC roll, 2 California rolls and 1 spicy salmon sashimi.

It was very very disappointing!

The BC roll was tasteless.

In one piece of the California roll I found a fly (still alive attached to the rice), disgusting!

For the spicy salmon sashimi, I paid 9 $ and the pieces of salmon were very small (basically all together could fit in a table spoon.and I paid 9$!).

I do not recommend this place!

Foods great, but the wait times are terribly bad on a busy night. I waited over an hour to pick up sushi as i saw countless delivery people come and go.if your going to order from them order with doordash so you can wait at home and be hangry with your cat, ill be going elsewhere for food when im hungry.

Normally, I am ordering from Sushi California, and have for many years, but recently I had a bad experience there and swore to not give them any more of my business - thus I was in need of a new cheap sushi spot to order from. I am really, really pleased with the service from Naruto Sushi. The rolls are fairly generous with the fillings - you know how sometimes you get a roll that's double wrapped with rice, and only a molecule of filling inside? None of that here. I recommend the poseidon roll, a yam roll with soft shell crab on top. I enjoyed the tuna sashimi, and although the pieces were a bit small, I really liked how you could choose between 3,6, and 9 pieces. Naruto Sushi has been great with following special instructions (ie.no mayo, no sauces, no wasabi, etc), and I like the fact that they have taken the time to label items that look similar to one another (tuna/toro sashimi, extra soy/extra tempura sauce). Definitely not high end sushi, but it does the trick. I will continue to order from here.

Got pick up combo roll B (spicy tuna, alaska roll, dynamite, and miso soup) for $13.60. Tasty soup and sushi, individually. 5/5 stars for not packing on rice and and putting more quality ingredients for a decent-sized roll. Ready at the expected time, line out the door, several other orders on the table ready. Thanks Naruto team!

Absolutely a spot worth stopping by, the food is good and fresh, the rates are affordable and it is regularly neat here. Keep it up.

The food tastes about the same as other sushi places, however I have been there in person once, and ordered from there twice. Two out of three times, I have found a strand of hair in my sushi rolls. There may be some cleanliness concerns if you plan to order from here.

This place tasted very fresh and clean, some of the best sushi I have had and I’ve had sushi all over the world! Waitress was very pleasant and made sure we had all we need! Small joint but who cares, if that bothers you stay home and don’t ever go out! If I hit Vancouver soon I’d eat here again in a heartbeat!

I really like this place. The sushi is great, the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and the name is really cool.

I saw someone review 1 star because they use styrofoam for take out orders. That’s a little unfair as all sushi places do this to save money. I’ve brought reusable containers with me to Natuto to reduce waste.

Great prices and the food is fresh and tasty. We love happy combo where you get to chose 3 different items. There's ways people furthermore the service is fast and kind. The portions are enough and the flavor is delicious. We've never been disappointed on this place.

Sushi is good but seems to be inconsistent. Sometimes it's great, sometimes there's more rice than fish.

Decent sushi BUT this time I ordered through skip and it came in styrofoam containers. Not sure how u can't afford 15 cent biodegradable containers. It's 2019. Also if you cheap out in a thing like that can only imagine what else you cheap out on.

The service was great, the food is inexpensive and incredible as well. The place is a little small so some people take their food to go. I would recommend the deep fried California sushi rolls. Definitely a new favourite of mine in Vancouver

Ok first off I don't recommend the noodle soup or udon because the broth had next to no flavour, the rolls and tempura would be better.

Also the place is cramped, its probably the smallest restaurant I've ever been to. The parking space is usually full so you have to park far away from the place.

And lastly despite the name "Naruto Sushi", there is no ramen.

Affordable restaurant for sushi and aburi. They also have bento boxes. There is a loyalty card that gives you a free sushi after 10 special rolls. Small place, often busy and hard to get a table. They have lunch special. The neighborhood is not glamorous, but the food and the prices are good. My favorite spot for sushi. Second place for aburi after miku in ny opinion.

Too rude staff, too small restaurant, 2-3 cars parking available only. No clean floor and decent food.

Order from skip the dishes the last time. Took me 2 hrs to get my sushi. Today I gave another chance but the Nigiri Sushi was poorly prepared. Very disappointed.

The owner was extremely racist and rudely kicked a First Nations woman out who really needed to use the washroom. She was polite and did not cause any trouble. As allies, my son and I left immediately without ordering. Last time I checked, Naruto Sushi is making money on Indigenous territory, the LEAST they could have done was offer her their washroom. Shame on them.

Been looking for a new Sushi place. I like a good Teriyaki Bento box myself. I think I may have found it. Still under $10 for a Bento box, unlike the joint we use to frequent. Still walking distance also for us.

Veg gyoza and veg tempura were very good, when i asked about if the dishes were vegan they clearly explained right away the fryer has non vegan items fried in it aswell but the ingredients in what i ordered were vegan which was useful info, thanks i had not eaten good sushi in a while:)

This sushi place is pretty good, nothing too special except for the price. They have great deals on bento boxes and combo's, which are my go to and would recommend to anyone. If you're in the area and feeling like well-valued sushi, come here! They also have a great selection of rolls if you're that type of person:)

Not fancy very tasty. Very popular place, food is always fresh. Sometimes it is a busy so there is a bit of a wait but it's usually pretty fast.

Good selections. Price is average. Staff are friendly. Speed of service is not the fastest as they are super busy with the food delivery orders.

We were there for 1 hour and we saw at least 12-15 drivers came in.

Definitely a place to go. Very good food. Definently one of the better places on commercial drive. Try the crispy chicken bento box it is killer. Its a easy 5 for this price point 11 to 15 bucks for a bento box

Absolutely best sushi in Vancouver! Friendly staff, resonable prices, high quality food. Dont have to wait long time for goodies.

In the restaurant they are great. Take out.not so much. We have a seafood and avocado allergy in our house. In the restaurant they've happily subbed or omitted those ingredients for us. When ordering delivery or take out, it is hit or miss. As expected, quality and freshness is also way better dining in.
