Very very disappointed with Nassim Nasser. I felt and noticed the lack of communication and time she spent on my case and with me. I was unable to get a hold of her for months at at time. When I did meet with her the second time her office was a mess and had other peoples personal information scattered everywhere. We only met twice The first time was significantly better than the second time. Then eventually I wasn’t even able to get a hold of her to confirm if she was receiving my emails. Nothing got done and it should have in the time frame we had. Then when they sent my communication log between my daughters dad and I and very personal information they had currier deliver it. It wasn’t placed in an envelope nor did it have any kind of cover or signature required. I got home and it was just on the ground with an elastic band. When I went through the paper work there were no notes or any kind of evidence it was even looked into. Then I also saw other clients paperwork and personal information. I’m my opinion I would not recommend Nassim nasser. She will comment on this and make it out as my fault while also saying personal things about my case. She did not accept any responsibility for missed appointments, lack of communication and not being in touch with me. I also find it odd that there are so many clients in the last two years and all rate five stars. I have met other people who have crossed paths with Ms. Nasser and share the same opinion and experience as myself. I’m interested in hearing if others had similar experiences as I did. I have a new lawyer and my experience so far is night and day. I lost all hope of ever finding a lawyer and thought I was doomed with my case. Turns out i’m not doomed and my experience with nassim was not in the normal ways of being represented.

Laura first worked for me back in 2017, at Christmas, when my child had been taken from me, by the RCMP, as a result of my ex falsely accusing me of abuse. She helped me get my son back and I was grateful. By 2020, my son was living with me full time but my ex did not want to pay child support. So, I hired Laura to work for me again and she was very good - telling me the way the courts usually go, the rationale behind certain judgements, and advising on the best way to proceed. Due to the pandemic, our numerous hearings were all online. But she represented me well and we're all doing much better now. At all times, she was available and treated me with the care, respect, and empathy that is so important when dealing with fragile situations and with emotions sometimes running high. I retained Nassim Nasser back in 2018 for custody for my daughter, after spending around 15k in beging of 2018 and another 2k in 2021 then my ex filed, and i asked for Nassim to handle this and was told she never had time for me, thanks for the waste of money, and already 13k with new lawyer to go through everything and handle this again. Laura Allan has been my family lawyer since early 2021, after having been through a number of previous family lawyers without any resolution of my very messy legal situation, which had been going on for over 10 years. "Messy" as the opposing party was self-represented, and very good at manipulating the courts and the legal system generally. It was not until I retained Nasser Allan that I finally succeeded in getting a FINAL, not interim order, dealing with outstanding child support and section 7 expenses dating back to 2012, as well as be awarded special costs for one of my applications and costs on a more-than-ordinary difficulty scale for the entire proceedings. The weight I've had on my shoulders for years has finally lifted. Despite having a very busy practice, both Laura and Nassim seemed to genuinely care about my situation - their empathy shone through in good times and bad. Thank you again!

Nassim Nasser worked with me on a very long and difficult divorce and she was great at laying out reasonable expectations and help navigate through many layers of a the process bringing it to a successful closure. While I reside in a different city I still found it easy to reach Ms. Nasser at any time and she was very accommodating to work with around schedules etc. Divorce is never easy however I am appreciative that she was respectful of my time and her rates were more than reasonable. I used Laura Allan as my lawyer for custody. At first she was very kind and soft spoken. Obviously, this is a very sensitive subject and without going in to a long unnecessary story. I will say that it was very disappointing dealing with her. Based on my experience my heart felt suggestion to anyone whom is in a situation where they need a lawyer not deal with her. There will be missed appointments, abrasive behavior and unanswered questions. Countless emails have been sent and she's asked me the same questions over and over and this has been going on for over a week sometimes without getting a proper answer. She will never advise you of your rights and will always try to counsel you to agree to what the opposing party says. There is no accountability for her not following through and at one point actually told me that I should respect her as my lawyer (this was after I called her the day of one of our appointments to confirm she would be showing up-she wasn't going to be making it AGAIN and had not even shown me the respect as her client to let me know). Lack of understanding of family law procedure was so apparent. I wasted an 14K on her and got nothing out of it. Just very unprofessional.
She left me in an impossible situation in my family file with what seems to be a no win situation, so sad to be in the situation I am currently lost in…
To all single mother out there, please do yourself a favor and hire an experienced lawyer, it pays off.

I contacted this firm for a consult regarding an urgent family matter. I was scheduled for a consult at 11am and had to take the day off of work to accommodate this time frame. On the day of the consult, I had several missed calls at 10am. When I was able to return the call I was advised that the time had been changed to 10am the previous week although nothing was sent by email and no updated zoom link was provided. Evidently this firm does not take its client's time or matters seriously, nor does the office have things very organized. I have requested a refund for the consult (they require you to pay up front) and it's anyone's guess if I'll see my money back. So I'm out the consult fee and the day at work. What a waste of time. If your matter is of any importance I would suggest finding a firm that is a bit more organized and values your time as much as they value their own.

Nassim knows the ins and outs of family law. I find her to be very hardworking, dedicated and compassionate. I highly recommend her to my friends and family.

I have nothing but good things to say about Laura Allan and am writing this review in defense of her skills as a lawyer and her character as a human being due to the cyber attack which has occurred on this page.

The lengthy negative reviews that are posted are fake reviews and not her actual clients. I have been a client of Laura's for over a year and have nothing but good things to say about her services, her fees, and her knowledge and experience in family law.

If you contact Laura she is able to show how the reviews are fake and how she is having to take legal action to deal with this person and get the reviews removed. I am posting this review in support of Laura as this is a straight case of cyber bullying by a mentally unstable person. Meet with Laura and form your own opinion, ask her to provide an actual written review by an actual client. Know when you are reading these negative reviews you are reading the review of a very unstable person on a campaign to destroy Laura's career and not the actual experiences of a client.

I hired Nassim to represent me in my divorce. I had two lawyers prior to Nassim and I was almost at the point of giving up on getting representation when I came across Nassim. I was very surprised by the care and attention she provided. The previous lawyers did not remember my file every time I met them and I spent billable time reminding them.
