Nesters Market

Sad to say this store has really declined in the past couple years. Produce and supply have really gone down hill. Prices are way higher than competitors and they stopped carrying the items that made their store special and unique. Meat section however, is superior. It is a store to grab a couple ingredients for a meal or snack, but not a big grocery shop. Staff are ok…. But not exceptional at understanding customer service. Too bad…. Because it is a great location.

Today I received wonderful customer service from Sanjeet, I run out of battery my phone died and she helped to charge my phone, I was able to pay my groceries. Thank you Nesters.

Best Nesters location hands down. Maybe even the best grocery store in the Okanagan. Accommodating to persons with disabilities and families with small or larger children. Very friendly and professional staff. Great produce and stock is excellent during the holidays. The produce manager is the sweetest and always makes sure the little ones have some fruit while they wander the store. Great deals on high end items and a great selection of organic products.

I really appreciate the effort put in to maintain the store, and the staff are always nice and friendly.

Recently, cashiers missing the discount sticker on items has been a recurring issue though. I can’t always catch it until I’m home and sorting receipts, and a few times I’ve got them to please go back and ring it through again.
Perhaps a different colour sticker, or maybe one on the customer faced side and one on top of the item would for them to see would help.

I’ll happily keep coming back for everything else you guys do. Just some diligence would be appreciated. Especially being a primary grocer to near-by university students.

Visited the market because I was staying in a hotel across the street. I found both their selection and pricing to be good. Nothing noteworthy, just a small market.

Decided to do last minute pizza night. Ingredients were over 40$ I was better off buying dunnenzies.canned black Olives were 3.50. The cheese I bought was kind of sour smelling and bitter mozzarella should be very mild. Anyway ruined my pizza so brought the remaining cheese and would not accept return giving me a problem because it was 3 days ago and asked why did I not come back in the day after and because it was grated. I bet someone left the cheese on a shelf for hours and they put it back to sell. This is not the first time either I had problems with returns. I bought some chicken thighs and the smell was rancid I went to cook the night I bought the chicken and the expiration date was the day I bought it so I threw in freezer and brought back the next day. They gave a hard time asking why it was frozen and I should have checked the expiry date before buying. Both these times customer service was extremely rude and condescending trying to blame the problems on me. I will not shop here again. Go to Superstore way better price, customer service, and quality control

I used to really like shopping here and the rewards made it worth while. Now they have raised the amount required to redeem. Very very unfortunate when things out there for so many are hard enough.

This past weekend I ordered four large trays from the deli, veggie, fruit, cheese and sandwiches. They were the most delicious, beautiful, organized trays I have ever had, ABSOLUTELY PERFECT…THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HARD WORK, I so appreciated what you did for me.
On another note, this store is the most approachable, friendly grocery in all my life of shopping I have ever encountered. I am so happy you chose our area to settle. I look forward to going down from Quail ridge to shop.

This is a charming little shop that reminds me of the small shops we’d see in city neighbourhoods, but with all the modern services we expect. I picked up a lunch “box” meal that was varied and not stereotypical.

Good store for people staying at close by hotels. All the rooms have fridges, and sometimes it's just better to buy at the store if you tired to go out. The selection of cheese and deli is good. On the other hands selection of fruits and vegetables is very limited.

Really sweet little market that has just about everything you could want for those of you for Ontario it's kind of like Vince's or a micro Farm Boy

SUPER OVER PRICED! Almost 100% mark up for any other grocery store. I recommend this ONLY as a last resort.

Horrible customer service at the Nesters by the airport. As a student they allow me to pay for groceries with my meal plan. Usually it works but the last 2 times the “head cashiers” have shunned me away saying the other cashiers - they’re own employees - “lied to me” and didn’t take meal plan dollars. Need a fix of communication for students as it’s right by the university.

Lovely, clean, organized, and novelty related grocery store. I love their offerings. However, unique items come at a VERY high cost. I guess they are looking for vegan trust fund babies & yuppies. Not sure. But I’m going back to my regular store.

It's a nice store- calm, quiet and sometimes has unique product. It's a bit pricier than safeway or the other cheap grocery stores, but the quality and service is worth it.

Worst place to work.: (when they interview you I told them directly I have no experiences that they hired me for.and they still hired me I was happy Got a full time job even tho I know it was for temp until the other lady gets back from surgery yesterday really needed this job.it was my first day on the job I did exactly what they told me to do I was mostly watching what they where doing.it was my first training shift since they said they would train me. I was making sandwiches I also worked the slicer good as well having experiences working in a restaurant and all.at the end of my shift they said have a good night I wrote down my shifts before I went home for the day.yesterday at the end of my shift sounded very promising and sounded like I did a good job.she wanted to work me some 10 am shifts as well all 8 hour shifts which I needed.and she told me the next day I would of been helping the customers which I was okay with.and teaching me how to punch in and out on the time clock so i was really looking forward to that today.very promising.especially since its only training shifts.but they have very high expectations especially from people that have no experience in the job they where hired for and they wont tell you this exceptions I got to work the next day I was pulled into the other room and she said i am sorry to say this but I have to let you go I said why I thought I was doing good she said the other kid that we hired is higher than you dont even know what that really means.and saying I was a little slow well what dose she expect Its my first day on the job it will take me time.but the point is i was lied to to my face saying all this stuff that i was going to learn how to use the time clock and interacting with customers.and now this I was very disappointed and my time was wasted bec I had other job interviews and they wanted me to work for them to but I said to them i found a job thank you and now i wish i accepted them not this one especilly if i known how bad this place is to work for they are nice to your face but not behind your back and I went thru a lot to get my bank information for them to put me on pay roll and everything but If i known they where just going to do this I wouldn't of went to work for them I would of went for the other job.and I wish they where straight up honest with me yesterday and told me when I did wrong truthfully and let me go yesterday or at least phone me so not wasting my fuel.and my time.never recommending this job to anyone if dont meat their standers they will let you go training shift or not I am not recommending it to my family or friends thats for sure thanks for wasting my time when I could of accepted the other job and Id still be working I really needed this job after I turned down the other one.

Just went in for the daily grocery shop. Noticed a guy walking around with a full basket stuff not wearing a mask. Not only did nobody said anything to him when I brought it to their attention, but nothing was said to him at checkout. I've never done this before but dropped my basket and left. I know some may not agree with what I did but following the rules is the way we get back to normal. And I hope nestors actually reads this and implement changes.

Allways has what I'm looking for could be a little cheaper but I guess that's what you get for being so far out of town

A little pricier obviously, but very high quality and varied stuff. They always have "what I'm looking for" when I can't find it anywhere else.

I like the store I don't love it.here's why why are the sandwiches in the deli not made fresh daily? In sorry but a 10 dollar turkey sandwich made 3 days ago is unacceptable. I gave you 4 stars cause I feel bad for complaining but I should only give 1 but I hate the thought of upsetting anyone.its just a drag to look forward to a nice sandwiche only to have it fall apart.all good I won't get another one off the deli.they look delish though

So clean, produce is very fresh and the meat we used in our barley soup was so tender! Love it here

I do all of my groceries here. I've tried other places the odd time and can't get what I need at the same quality and great prices. Never disappointed and the staff are excellent!

Stephen Schmidt went ABOVE and BEYOND our expectations. We are so appreciative of his customer service and his willingness to help. Highly recommend. He has us saying WOW, what an amazing experience.

Very expensive groceries. Nice store. Nice layout, good parking lot. Friendly staff, but very expensive.

We went thier after a trip to kelowna and the food was great the next time we took our food for a picnic it was great

My experience here was just ok, that's why the 2 star, the front till lady was nice overall.

Now to get to the negative, the produce section was very lacking overall, selection was meh.

Now my biggest concern is in the supporting of local businesses and farmers, now I get but technically mission BC is local ish because comedians travel and that isn't that far to the realm of travel but you live in the Okanagan why are we not supporting directly local farmers?

You have many products that are not local and you need to start supporting your local environment to create wealth and economy here.

It's an nice looking store, however; I tried talking to what I think was a manager by the front of store to buy some lotto, he kind of just looked at me and then darted into his office, made me feel not welcome and I ended up leaving after a few minutes of him not coming out. I believe his name was steve, just seemed weird.

Small but well stocked grocery store, if you are a student they give a discount on the second Saturday each month. It's clean and has friendly staff.

Tried Nester's for the first time because it showed up on the Chargepoint map as an available electric vehicle charge station. Sure enough, dedicated parking right up front, and no issues with EV station. I didn't need much of a charge, but it gave me time to go up and down every isle twice. Sunday morning, 8: 30 am and the deli was putting out fantastic sandwiches and wraps, prime fuel for heading out to the hill or a hike on the nearby rail-trails from the airport. I bought products like Silver Hills bread, baby spinach, and some fancy root-beer because it was all on special for much less than Nature's Fare or Costco. Lots of selection that was Western Family (Save-On) at the value end, and then went to the recognizable high quality brands after that, so product range is from very good to excellent. This location was like a miniaturized blend of Save-On Foods with Urban Fair with equal or better pricing. The till experience was the worst in recent memory, and some people would take a few stars off for that, but it was early Sunday morning and I got the feeling someone missed their morning coffee with a cigarette before the start of the shift, so I am not going to reduce the rating overall for that. I am going back to this location to shop because it is a good value and different from the other nearby options, and also because of the free charge station for my car.

I have bought expired food here on multiple occasions, even so bad as finding out the packaged deli meat I had bought had expired 3 months earlier! I have been checking expiry dates now every time I shop and still find expired items often, specifically in the dairy and meats sections. Be careful!

Well. I actually hate shopping, BUT had to run in and grab some foofoo soy/almond kind of beverage stuff that the wife need for her coffee in the morning or else she turns into an ogre.and THIS is about the only store we find that carries said magical beverage and it wasn't all that bad shopping here, no lines, hardly anyone in the store which is nice, because I tend to hate people and get road rage pushing a shopping cart most times, because people are kind of annoying for the most part

The store is very convenient for the Quail Ridge and uBCO areas but their prices are high. Close by the airport. If you're meeting someone after their flight and need a quick welcome gift, you just head on over.
They have childrens activities and also snacks available for them.
They also support local school/s.
