Neverland Tea Salon Vancouver

My first time here and unfortunately it was disappointing. Very expensive for what it was (80$ for high tea and a mimosa including tip) and service was very poor. Staff were not attentive and I had to get up and go ask for more tea, clean plate, milk for tea etc. I expected so much more in terms of customer service.

The food was amazing and absolutely loved that the tea was unlimited with the afternoon tea menu. My partner and I were both stuffed we each had 2 pots of tea from their amazingly huge list of tea options and I had the vegan/gluten free menu and he had the traditional high tea. It was so creative and delicious. The music seemed a bit weird and didn't go with the atmosphere, but it's a cute place! Think more cute than fancy. No dress code, half the people were dressed in a cute blouse and jeans the other half a little more dressy so feel free to dress as you wish! Would highly recommend and would be back! The price I believe is cheaper than most other high tea options in Vancouver area as well!

While cute, doesn’t really live up to “high tea”. Industrial ceilings and pop music and metal teapots. Has four options though, dairy and gluten free, traditional, veg, and a fourth for dietary restrictions.

Whilst the service was very good, I was amazed at the very small portions of the traditional high tea. The little tiny cakes were an inch square we had high tea for two people at $104 I was astounded at the little amount of food served for that price.

Fantastic experience, and very accommodating staff. I absolutely recommend this for an afternoon tea experience! Only downside from a full 5 star experience was the table we sat at had a noticeable lean to it. Might need another book under the feet on the wall side ;)

I have to be honest, I was beyond disappointed with my experience here. My friend made a booking for my birthday and although our main server was pleasant enough, there was another one who was shockingly rude, impatient and clearly didn’t want to be there. The brunette with the long dark hair was grumpy and begrudgingly dumped our tray off without a smile and with a lot of attitude. She was impatient with basic questions, both of us were polite so there was no reason to have such a strange attitude towards us. When we asked for a spoon since the weird little honey pot that they had was entirely inadequate to actually add honey to your tea she —no exaggeration—came back and literally tossed a large spoon on our table. We didn’t even have our tea trays explained to us. I’m not used to this kind of service at an afternoon tea seating.

The food wasn’t good either, it’s cute looking (likely for Instagram) but the flavours and ingredients were nothing I’d bother having again —very overpriced for what felt like small portions of grocery store deli food.

I couldn’t eat half the sweets, the scone and devon cream was also disappointing. Overall the afternoon tea was incredibly imbalanced, there was way too many high-sugar bland sweets (as mentioned, most of which were kind of inedible) and not enough savory offerings.

Further disappointing was that the tea itself was very poor quality and most weren’t brewed correctly. (I used to work in the tea industry). We tried 6 flavours and sadly all if them were either weak, cold or unpalatable. One reminded me if cold seaweed broth. Different types of teas call for different brewing times/temps of which this salon clearly doesn’t care—the absolute irony. Overall, both the flavours, and the tea selection were unremarkable.

I also didn’t enjoy the scheduled seating approach. That say you have 90 minutes but rush you out much earlier than that to set up for the next seating. (Easily corrected for with some staggered seating times). You get reminded that you’re going to leave repeatedly starting 30 minutes in advance, and 10 minutes later they try to take everything off your table and hustle you to pay at least 15 minutes before the 90 minutes are up.

The music was also disruptive to the ambience (strange kind of John Mayer-esque pop music)

All in all, with the aggressive attitude from the one server and the rushing everyone out before the seating is done both of us felt very much like our presence was an inconvenience at this salon.

There are much better options in the city. I’m definitely going to return to have high tea at other salons in the future. We have absolutely no desire to come back here unfortunately.

It was an incredibly disappointing birthday experience for me.

Went for my birthday, and there was the Wimbledon theme. Usually I love everything, but unfortunately the savories didn't really cater to my tastes this time. The sweets however were amazing as always, and so were the staff!

This is the cutest little spot with an enormous tea selection! Loved the finger sandwiches/pastries and thought the servers were all so lovely.

Had my small baby shower here. Such a fantastic experience. I enjoyed all the sweets and savouries. The staff was so kind and patient. Thank you for a great afternoon. I appreciate the alternative menus! No one felt left out because of a dietary restriction. Such a thoughtful way to conduct business.

We came here for a friend’s birthday. The atmosphere was so whimsical and fun. The servers were extra friendly and we loved the unlimited tea.

There was a Wimbledon theme so the egg salad sandwich and mousse was shaped like a tennis ball. We enjoyed all the savoury and sweet pieces.

I've been coming here for years now and noticed something about the servers / customer service to the point where I feel like I have to write a review. All it takes is one or two negative experiences to ruin a reputation built on years of hardwork.

I feel these experiences are happening too often and it is very strange as the regular service is exceptional servers that are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and patient and on the other side it is rushed, rude and selective favoritism, particularly with one server with tied up brown hair. I've seen other reviews about this particular employee and others have experienced worse, but pretty concerning that this type of behavior is still present.

We also noticed that she was particularly favoring one table and was friendly and chatty while completely ignoring us during our stay despite making eye contact with us and when she did interact with us, the feeling of her not wanting anything to do with us was overwhelming. Also like another review on here, we had no idea why she was so unpleasant with us as we were polite the whole time.

I used to recommend this place to all my colleagues and family, but I can't anymore and I would be willing to give this establishment another shot, but honestly it would feel too embarrassing to come back here if she was there.

If you love High Tea, you will love Neverland Cafe. Excellent selection of teas and great options for food. We have been there several times and the food and service are always excellent. Not the cheapest place to eat, but well worth the price.

I loved this place and rated it 5/5 stars 3 years ago. I would recommend this place to family and friends. My last visit was very disappointing. We had reservations at 12: 30pm and we sat around with not even a water for half an hour. I had to approach a server because I thought maybe they forgot about us since we were outside on the patio. I ordered the vegan afternoon tea since they didn't have a vegan option on the kid's menu (I asked the server). My son has a severe egg allergy and a milk sensitivity. My husband had the regular afternoon tea, it was okay. The vegan afternoon was subpar. The bread for all the savoury vegan sandwiches were dry and stale. The service was very slow. The tipping option was a joke offering 18%, 20% & 22%. I would have given 1 star but there was one genuine server who we really liked (young girl, black hair). I hope to change my review to a better one one day but for now, I have to be honest. Maybe don't come on a Sunday? And side note, they don't allow strollers inside the salon.

I would give definitely 10 out of 10! Amazing atmosphere and super friendly and well trained staff! Amazing high tea set and great tea selections! I love Neverland and would highly recommend anyone are considering about a place for high tea! Must try!

We booked a 13 person tea party for a bachelorette. We traveled from Seattle to come, they confirmed with us the day before and then the day of when we showed up they were closed. The staff didn’t bother to call and also wouldn’t come out to talk to us. It was just unprofessional and rude. If you have to close then fine, things happen, but to have the staff just ignore us while we are waiting was just rude.

Friendly and efficient service. The place itself is nicely decorated. I loved their mumbai chai and my mom liked their chocolate macroon tea. I got the dairy+gluten free set and the food was ok - I think their sandwiches could be tastier as a few were bland. Their bathroom could be cleaner.

I've been to Neverland three times over the years, and it remains my favourite place for Afternoon Tea. The food remains consistently delicious and creative, the service is great and the teas are lovely. I was there yesterday to celebrate a friend's birthday. The last time I went was before the pandemic. I did notice that their scones seems a bit smaller than they were last time I was there.
We still had a great time. I would love to go back again to try their other themed menus, like the Coronation Menu next month.

Such a fun experience! I've been on two occasions with different friends, and I can't wait to go back as the menu changes seasonally! Can't recommend the Almond Joy tea enough
