They have a large selection of fashionable eyewear. Everyone there were super friendly and experienced. They went above and beyond during eye exam to make sure my prescription was dialled in to perfection. Ended up buying two pairs of prescription glasses. Highly recommend.

It had been some time since I had my eyes checked and I needed a new pair of glasses. I went into New Look Eyewear in Hillside Mall and they were fantastic! I had my preliminary eye test done with Claire and she was fantastic! She explained what all the testing was and really put me at ease. I don't like the puff of air in my eye, but Claire explained what it was for and was so calm and gentle and counted down to the puff of air and it was really nothing! My eye exam done by Dr. Darroch was equally great! The appointment was nice and timely and he explained things as he went along. When I was choosing my glasses, Lily and Bethany helped me decide which pair looked good on me. The final process of purchasing my glasses with Claire was super smooth - she was so professional - I couldn't have been happier! I will be going back again for another pair with the time comes and would recommend it in a heart beat! What a great team!

I was very happy getting my new prescription glasses from New Look. They had a fantastic deal on designer frames, the shopping environment was low-pressure and pleasant, and they direct billed my insurer making the whole experience easy and efficient.

Bethany was awesome. I was looking for a pair of 'off the shelf' bifocals to get me by for awhile since I could not afford the $400-$500 price tag for progressives I had been quoted from a few other optical stores. She surprised me by suggesting several options, then coming up with an amazing deal for one pair of progressives and one pair of prescription sunglasses that was within my budget. Bethany knows her stuff and is wonderful to work with.

I had a great experience at New Look - hillside mall. They had lots of frames to choose from and bent over backwards to make sure I was satisfied with my choices. As well - I was able to get my prescription checked on site before I bought the glasses. They arrived today. I love how they look and feel. The excellent service was carried through to the pickup and adjustment process.

I had a very poor experience. It took two weeks to get the glasses, for the long delay, they blamed the courier company. That is a poor excuse, because I know from experience that couriers guarantee next day service across Canada and I cannot understand why they choose a slow courier. Once I got the glasses, I noticed that they put in the wrong lenses. The counter staff did not want to acknowledge the mistake and I needed to speak with the manager, who took two work days to contact me by phone. Eventually, I could indeed convince the manager that it was their mistake, because I took photos of the evidence in the store. Then it took another two weeks to get my proper prescription lenses. However, for some reason that they could not explain, they did not want to honor their quoted price anymore and wanted to charge about 25% more. Again, the counter staff did not want to acknowledge their mistake, even if I could show them the written quote, they insisted that what was in their "system" was the correct price. Only after speaking with the manager, the staff was able to honor the original price. I would have hoped that after the original mess-up, they would have given a discount, especially a customer for many years, but an upcharge was a big surprise.

Here is an update on this review. As requested by New Look following this post, I provided them with my private email address so that they can contact me directly to discuss the issue. Its been a week since I contacted them and I did not hear from them. I will update this review should they ever contact me.

Recently had an armature break on my progressives. My frames are a few years old, so options could have been quite expensive. It was suggested by another optical outlet that New Look would be a best bet for help. That turned out to be very true, and good for me.
When I walked in, Lily though busy with a few other customers, managed to take a look at my situation, and over a short time,
rummaged thru various old parts, came up with a replacement
arm. She then doctored my older frame to accept the arm, and fixed my glasses. She spent at least 1/2 an hour doing this wonderful work, and all for no charge. Cannot thank her enough.

I went to New Look in the off chance I’d find a a pair of reading glasses I liked. Not only did Kirsten (the person who helped me) patiently let me try on eve pair I wanted, but she was encouraging and skilled in her recommendations about the type of frames that worked for me. I walked out an hour later with beautiful, custom fitted reading glasses. Thank you Kirsten and team!

A few days ago, a kind employee named Daxten adjusted my eyeglasses for me after I had accidentally dropped and bent them. I was grateful for his speedy and free service! A big thanks to Daxten and Newlook!

Amazing service and that was before I was a paying customer! I took a broken pair of glasses there and they helped me exchange the lenses into new frames for free. I then went to have an eye exam and as expected, they were brilliant!

Went there for a lenses swap, Consultant Daxten was very friendly and helpful, helped me with my issue within 10 mins! Highly recommend Daxten if you go there.

I had a great experience at New Look. I was taken care of by Kirsten at the Hillside mall location in Victoria BC. I had a difficult time finding the right pair of glasses due to a wide and high bridge (or schnoz if you will). However she took as much time as was needed until we found the pair that suited me. I definitely recommend people shop for glasses there and if you are lucky enough to be served by Kirsten, you will find her infinitely patient and helpful.

Customer service was amazing! I broke my glasses and Weiber had them fixed right away - highly recommend for terrific customer service!:)

Disgraceful service. I ordered a new pair of lenses from them and they will not clean regardless what product I use. The frames have to be some Dollarstore china dot com material. The eye doctor was more focussed in selling products that were not needed then helping me with what I was in need of. Now in the process of purchasing new lenses from elsewhere.

I would highly recommend looking somewhere else if you’re looking for a decent pair of glasses. I bought glasses from here about a year and a half ago but they somehow broke the other day even though they were just sitting in my glasses case. I went in to see what my options were to go about replacing it but because it was a few months over the warranty period of 1 year they basically said I was on my own. I was completely willing to pay for a new pair but after they didn’t offer some sort of discount or any other form of assistance for being a repeat customer I decided to look elsewhere.

No respect for a customer, made me come 4 times just to cut new lenses (with appointment each time!) Very unprofessional. I ended up with a dent on my own frame. Will never be coming back. Such a waste of time and money!

I found them to be absolutely fantastic. I came in with a relatively new pair of sunglasses I had previously purchased at a brand name retailer. The screw in the arm had become dislodged. They were able to repair within minutes and I wanted to pay the woman for her time I was told it was free of charge. Fantastic place I highly recommend.

Excellent service, especially from Anna, who took her time in helping me find the best pair of glasses for myself without pushing the more expensive frames. Would highly recommend going here for lenses.

Today I needed new eye pads for my glasses. I had a very pleasant experience at Visions Optical at Hillside Centre. I was greeted as I entered the store and made to feel comfortable. Anna assured me that she could help with my request. In a short time the pads were replaced and the glasses adjusted. Anna made my day.
Also there was no charge for the above.

I had fallen and damaged my frames. I was on vacation and stopped in at the mall. The Visions staff were very friendly, and the manager, Heather, adjusted the frames and replaced the nosepieces all free of charge. She seemed very knowledgeable and competent.

Anna was very helpful, she repaired my glasses that I had stepped on quickly and they fit better than they did before. The store has a welcoming atmosphere and all the staff were friendly.

Anna-Rita, the Staff taking care my daughter, was incredibly warmhearted and helpful in making a selection. We felt absolutely no pressure to pick something my daughter wasn’t completely satisfied with. Amazing selection of glasses. My prescription will expire soon and I will definitely go back for myself.

The customer service provided at Visions Optical Hillside Mall makes me think twice about ordering cheap glasses online in the future. Person in charge gave my glasses to a trainee to fix (so she could keep shopping on amazon) and when the trainee broke them, she said I had to pay for it unless I had a warranty. Thankfully I did, they didn't have the frames I wore and said their other location did and they would call me when they had arranged for me to pick them up. I never recieved that call, and when I went to the other location the manager there said they never recieved that call either. Miserable experience. (The manager at the Tillicum location was faaaaar more helpful)

I was told that I had 6 months left on my warranty when I went in to show them a chip on one lense. Was told they would call me back but I had to call them. Was then told that my warranty only covered the coatings. Who sells $1000 frame and lenses with no warranty. Going in today to have this issue rectified, may change my rating after.
Went in today to talk with the manager and turns out the warranty is still in affect. New lenses are being ordered and updated at no extra charge. So still not a 5 star rating but better due to the managers efforts to correct the issue.
