New Westminster City Hall

I’ve dealt with everyone at city hall in all departments and everyone is pretty nice and helpful. From Joan, Harry, mike Watson, etc even the nice lady at the front desk. Oh and Chrissy is also nice

The worst city hall officials to deal with, be it consulting, or be it enforcing bylaws, not thinking ahead of time their by laws are behind other communities. Now I am surrounded by Huge AC units on both sides of my once quite place so now get to listen helicopter like sounds day and night. Why didn't they make bylaw to have it installed at the back of the property or only on one side of the house so everyone is affected the same, now i am surrounded on both sides and have to endure noise day night. Also neighbors backyard cameras are looking into my backyard and my doors, if you are allowed to have one monitor your yard but not mine with it, can't have any privacy in my own property anymore, and all this city is saying there is no by law for the AC units, no by law for security cameras? Wonder if I bring Huge AC unit into their office and security camera how would they deal with it since there is no by laws for it. They deal with people according where they come from. Think i am left with option of starting a lawsuit or selling everything and relocating family and business asap.

I don't know if they could find any better people at new west city hall. First rate always

Nic, at the planning department, was very patient, thorough and informative about a land I was wondering the future and past of. Fantastic manners and outstanding customer service skills. No wait time to answer the phone either. Great experience, thank you.

Staff are nice and helpful, but their website needs a major overhaul. They have two ways to do things online: Online services and customer connect, but try to figure that out by going to the website. There is no intuitive way to know this unless you call them. You should have ONE way to connect online that does everything you need and it should be front and centre on your website. It is as if their website hasn't been updated since 1990. Just pay a web designer, and use an efficient city's website as an example.like Vancouver.
