The turf on the Ground 4 is really pathetic. Prone to injuries if you play on this field. Not maintained well. I like the Cloverdale Athletic park much better.
Our first time at this location to play lacrosse, and was impressed. There’s lots of parking and busy activities of sports and a great place to get those steps in with walking.
Attended a soccer tourney here over the weekend, and while the action on the pitch took center stage, it really was just a huge community block party where people of all ages came out to enjoy the weather and socialize while eating traditional Punjabi dishes whipped up by many dozens of volunteers on site. Kudos to the organizers for making my Canada Day celebrations memorable and delicious! Oh yeah, and the soccer was pretty awesome too!
Some fields are great. Some are terrible. Field 2 was great turf. Field 3 was grass and patchy. Long in some places. So hard to predict soccer ball. Field 4 was terrible turf. The astroturf was not worked into the green. Kids were slipping and falling a lot. So lucky nobody got injured for the game we were at.

Garbage everywhere and no one picks up after themselves or their kids. I usually walk around and pick up the trash. Most users seem to be South Asian people and Muslim. Everytime I go my children and I are the only white people, which is normal for Surrey. But, when someone's child decides to grab my daughter's clothing and pull her down It's impossible to resolve simple conflicts with people who refuse to speak English. People need to do better, especially newcomers. It's nice to have you here, and it would be equally nice to see you pick up after yourselves and your children. It also wouldn't hurt to pick up some of the language, so we can communicate effectively.
