Terrible, cab took the longest way possible home from Ladner to Langley ended up going to Whiterock? When I questioned him he said "do you have a car? " I said yes, his reply was you should have driven? A fare usually costs 70. Including tip but ended up costing $108. No tip.terrible Customer service, unfortunately I couldn't get an Uber!

Horrible experience with Cab 74 from the airport to downtown Vancouver. The driver first denied that the flat rate exist, then he tried to negotiate the price several times during the ride and he didn’t even drive anywhere close to the fastest or shortest route. This man should not be a taxi driver

The driver was speeding 30-40 kms over the speed limit (50 zone, was bouncing between 80-90) while I had my daughter in the car with us. The whole ride he did not have a meter running but when it came time to pay he demanded $30 cash even though according to Uber the ride would have cost $18. We said we did not have cash and he got angry - he should have mentioned this prior to giving us a ride. We ended up having to give him $30 American cash. We offered $20 USD (already more than $18, and with the exchange rate it's close to 30CAD anyway) but he got angry again and insisted we pay him 30. In the end we gave him 30 because he was scaring our daughter and it was late and she needed to go to bed. But this taxi company seems to just be a scam. Definitely do not recommend and if they try to pick you up at the airport avoid them and choose another company, or better yet get an Uber.

Rudest taxi driver I've ever experienced! I had the misfortune of taking this taxi from YVR and even paid the driver a 15% tip. Maybe he expected more because he started to scream at me and verbally abuse me at the end over one clean tissue that fell from my pocket on to the back seat. I stood up for myself and told him how he shouldn't abuse customers like that. After I told him I would complain he quickly drove off like a coward. Driver was middle age, Indian without a turban, and had a newish Toyota SUV. Shameless behaviour. I see numerous other complaints about this company's drivers so this appears to be a frequent issue. This is why people are sick of the taxi mafia in Metro Vancouver and everyone prefers ride hailing services!

Around 1: 20 am I took a cab under this taxi company. After reaching my destination I told the driver that I will pay on debit when I tapped my card was declined a number of times. Tried inserting my card, his machine still said declined. So i gave him cash, which luckily I had. I just checked my debit card this morning and found out that my debit payment went through. In short I was charged double for a taxi fare that would normally cost $8.50. Blatant dishonesty. This is not right. I felt robbed.

Useless. Called the night before our international flight and made a booking for a van to accommodate our family of 5 and 5 suitcases.
We called again in the morning to confirm the booking, just to be safe.

Van arrives 10 minutes late and only has 5 seats! Then the driver says our son can just sit on our lap!?

Handicap cab shows up at King George Station to pick 5 people up, one in wheelchair, at 11: 30pm. He refuses to let anyone get in the front after he gets my sister and her chair in the vehicle. We explain there is 5 of us and he becomes agitated and rude. NEVER had such a Poor experience. So disappointing after a great night out. What happened to customer service.

They have horrible service. Made me wait two hours and still didn’t come. They are run by idiots. Every other time I call they have issues like this and lie about your actual priority, they come when it is convenient.avoid this company.

TWO VERY RUDE DRIVERS THIS PAST MONTH. BOTH SHOULD NOT BE IN THE SERVICE INDUSTRY. CAN'T WAIT FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES FOR THE CUSTOMER TO GET THEIR CARD OR TAXISAVERS OUT OF THEIR PURSE.
THIS CAUSES THE CUSTOMER TO BE SO UPSET THAT THEY CAN'T LOCATE THEM, FINALLY HAVING TO PULL OUT MONEY INSTEAD.
'HURRY UP', I'M BUSY' & 'GET OUT OF THE CAR, I WANT TO GO'. WHEN HE HAD TO GET OUT OF THE CAR ANYWAYS TO GET MY THINGS FROM THE TRUNK OF THE CAR. TELLING ME 'I DON'T WANT TO DRIVE YOU AGAIN' & I SAID, 'YOU'RE SO RUDE, I DON'T WANT TO TRAVEL WITH YOU AGAIN! '
I'M A PAYING CUSTOMER & A SENIOR, NOT A HOMELESS PERSON.

Waited an hour for a taxi that never showed up. Called 3 times. Each time dispatch said it was on it's way. The last time I called he said he'd get the driver to call me to tell me how much longer. Never got a call. Lots of other taxi services to choose from
Not including Uber, Lyft and transit

I'm gonna give it to them that we must have called at a super busy time cuz it took over 20 mins, but they did come, got us home, and I even got a call after we were home from them making sure we weren't still waiting for a ride. I don't use cabs very often, but when I call them again I'll post an update

Drivers are fine. Call centre is ridiculous. Hung up on multiple times because the guy didn’t want to look up the address to the business I was at. Not reliable. One of, if not, the worst taxi services in the lower mainland.

Car 37 executed a "suicide pass" on me last Thursday night around 5pm, coming off the Pattulo bridge southbound. Approaching the start of a new right hand lane, I signalled my intent to move right and good thing I shoulder checked where I should have no need to, or there would have been a collision.
I honked at the driver, who had an empty car, and stopping abreast of each other at the next light, the driver rolled his window down and asked me what my problem was. When I responded that I honked because of his illegal pass, he began to swear at me.
Absolute nonsense.

Today, April 22,2022 5: 15pm - car NW45 was stopped in the southbound lane of 135 st waitingfor his passengers, I honked for him to vacate the lane to allow traffic through and he refused, suggesting I should drive illegally around him in the northbound lane. I refused but another motorist did not, which nearly caused a collision and threatened the safety of a pedestrian who was lawfully walking her dog.

It’s very bad experience I took off from the bus in Surrey central and my house it’s in two blocks but it’s 12am dark and full of homeless people, I reach one of the taxi which is standing in the station and I asked him if it’s okay my address is in two blocks only, he said yes yes, then I took him, he started yelling and saying we are standing two hours and you want to pay less than 10$, (is it my problem) I told stop the car, he refused and started abusing me!

The driver and the car owner were great. However dispatch leaves a whole lot to be desired. When my phone was left in the cab, calling dispatch and speaking to the rude and unhelpful man on the other end of the line, caused massive issues! All he had to do was contact the driver, which he refused to do and so many issues would never have taken place. I am grateful to the owner of the car for finding and returning my cell.

My wife had the bitter experience of being with a rude driver, who keeped speaking in a rude and scolding manner during a short trip this afternoon.
This man has caused stress. Would never ever hiring taxi from this company. Very unprofessional driver with no ethics. Dont even want to give a single star. Never had issues like this with other company. Sorry

The Driver of NW9 pulled up behind me blocking me in when there were many open spots. After waiting and the Driver not moving or noticing my reverse lights, I honked my horn once. This caused the driver to freak out and start wailing on his horn and making hand gestures. Your driver's need driving lessons on how to drive in a parking lot. The passager is late to get to the liquor before 6pm closing.

Amazing service by both the dispatcher and taxi driver. I called as my car broke down near hwy10 and they sent a cab within 10 minutes. The taxi drive was very pleasant as well. I don't know why so many people are complaining. Maybe they are just miserable people.

6: 20 ish pm June 30,2020. I was at stop sign at the intersection between 133A street and 104 Avenue waiting for the safe gap of oncoming traffic toward 104 Avenue and University drive intersection. It's rush hour time so there were a lots of car comming down the road. After waiting for about 3ish minutes, there's a safe gap for me to turn right but unfortunately, a pedestrian walking down right front of my car so I had to wait for him to cross street. While the pedestrian is just at front of my car, the taxi (a Newton Whalley taxi) right behind me keep honking me. Even if there was no crossing lines on street, yes, everybody knows that you should yield to pedestrians. And if you don't find safe gap for you to turn, just wait until there is. That's road safety, everybody learns that before taking learner driver license. I bet that taxi driver knows that too. What if I was rushed by his honk and something bad happened to me, who will take care or support my family.

You are taxi driver, you must know road safety and your passengers safety more than anyone else! What if your driving attitude is like that, will passengers feel safe to take your service?

Yes I honked back because I was not wrong, I waited for safe gap and yielded to pedestrian. And that driver contined to honk back to me. Very unprofessional!

Got aggressively honked at Old Yale Rd and 132 St because I was yielding to pedestrian just stepping off of curb while making right-turn from right-turn only lane. Pedestrian was rightfully crossing on stale "walk" signal on a marked crosswalk as well.

What am I supposed to do? Run the pedestrian over so your cabbie can save 10 seconds of his time?

That taxi is really bad. My friend was waiting for the cab and they didn’t arrive there. She was waiting for like one hour. So I’ll suggest guys if you wanna book a cab choose another.

Literally waited an hour for a driver to call me and say they would be here in 10mins to find out 15 mins later that he cancels the trip. I call the driver he doesn’t help me and now says I’m too far, minding you I’m 5-10mins pass the guildford mall. I talk to dispatch, they say that they don’t have another driver I’ll be put back on the boomed list. Another hour passes my booking gets cancelled again. Call back to dispatch, held for 15 mins. Ended up calling Sudell taxi they showed up in 30 mins. Thank you Newton Whalley Taxi for the complete lack of service.

TLDR: made me wait 2 hours ended up using another company for better service.

I have been dealing with them as the other taxi company are rude. Today I was talking to a customer service, and giving her details and told her which way to pick-up, she was rude when she asked for the address. So I told her back in a sarcastic tone that, If she listened enough she would know where to go. She also said, "F OFF and that am rude" Well lady, you were rude first! April 2 2020 at 9: 20am was the time I spoke to her.
By the way, GET A PROPER CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR THESE TYPE OF PEOPLE YOU HAVE! Mind you, the pay that you get comes from your customers. BE NICE! When you are rude to people, they will be rudder to you. ESPECIALLY NOW, YOU ARE ALSO A SERVICE JUST LIKE ALL THE FRONT LINE!

If I could give these guys zero I would! Their dispatch is very rude. They lie lie lie. 10 15 minutes 3 to 4 times over literally! ALTHOUGH some of their drivers are the best. But the company itself is a joke. I realize this wonr make a difference due to demand and them being only 1 of a few companies but if you can avoid it I would. NEVER COUNT ON THEM TO BE ON TIME IN PEAK HOURS LIKE EVER! 588 8888 is good even 5858888 is good. AVOID AVOID AVOID!
