I recently had a wonderful experience at Nissan of Duncan. I wanted to express my appreciation to Phil, Courtenay and the rest of the team. I was provided excellent service. Phil and Courtenay were attentive to my needs and worked with me on my biweekly payments while keeping my goals and vision in mind. Phil, thank you for being a breath of fresh air during this experience. I am extremely grateful for your compassion attentiveness, time, effort, laughs and giggles! Courtenay, thank you for guiding me through the financial process with ease and peace of mind, your expertise, thoughtfulness and kindness has not gone unnoticed!
The team at Nissan of Duncan is outstanding. They are friendly, and make you feel as part of the team as soon as you enter the door.

Horrendous experience with this dealership. Very definition of "trap in marketing". The guy will write down something in a scratch paper things like "Will drive home with a new vehicle if numbers met" then he'll have you sign. Even unofficially you'll feel that you're committed so it's quite hard to back out. That is such bad business to do in the name of sale to get commission of course.

Initially, we talked over the phone Monday, the quote unquote Finance Manager, congratulated me and said I was pre-approved for a loan application. He then asked for information and all that and said he'll just do a soft credit check. As eager as I am, i gave information that he requested. In addition, I also mentioned that I want to trade-in my vehicle only that I brought it in the shop for some misfire codes. The salesperson told me over the phone that they will consider taking my vehicle to lower my purchase cost of a new vehicle. So that got me excited because it'll save me time of selling the car myself privately. Then he invited me to come in and testdrive a "few vehicles" that interests me, I told him that I don't have a car to drive and so he sent a driver the following day to pick me up from Victoria.

Soon as I arrived, well typically you'll get a smile and a nice face on. Got me excited because all of the reviews I saw online are all positive, in addition I used their "website payment calculator" I have the screenshot and all. It showed that the interest rate is at 1.90% for certain brackets of credit score. We then proceeded to test drive a red Nissan Frontier, after we went back to the desk and agent had me waiting for few mins and was presented with, get this, "hand-written" numbers and encircled the bi-weekly payment amount. I tried to get out, but the guy was insisting that that is the only vehicle that fits my needs, wants and that is what i'm looking for, he then asked me what bi-weekly payment is comfortable and said he'll see what he can do to make it lower. So he went back to what seem like their boss' office, then he came back with a little bit lower of an amount but of course with longer term 96 months from previous 84 months term. In the middle of the conversation and some back and forth I asked where the value of my trade-in vehicle sits, then he told me that "I would suggest that you sell it privately because I can't sell it. " As feeling trapped as I am that day, it felt heavy and it felt that I was being forced to purchase the truck at a whopping "9.9% interest rate", the guy being so persistent and insistent. I signed on what seem an unofficial paper that he had written another note on.

Then he told me to wait on the lounge as he will submit the application to the "creditor" or "bank", meanwhile while waiting I went in to check in their website if the interest rate he's presenting is the same with what shows on their website. To my surprise it is way different it's 1.90% vs 9.90% as he mentioned for the truck. My chest felt heavier and I called my uncle and told him what's happening and he told me to back out and that i'm being trapped to getting an expensive vehicle with colossal interest rate for 8* years, so then I just walked out and a little bit anxious as I don't have current means of how to go back to Victoria. I ended up going to Budget to rent-a-car, cost me around 180.

The experience had me feeling scared to go to dealerships, thinking that all of the dealerships deal the same way. PLEASE AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COST, SHADY AND UNPROFESSIONAL, THEY DON'T ACKNOWLEDGE REQUESTS AND THEY JUST CARE ABOUT SELLING AND DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU AS A CUSTOMER.

THAT IS MY ONLY VISIT TO NISSAN OF DUNCAN AND I WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO GIVE THEM THEIR BUSINESS. SAVE THEM THE TROUBLE.

PS If you're looking for a new or old vehicle I'd be happy to point you to somewhere professional and they treat people like they really want to help you, probably will appraise your vehicle fairly if you're trading it in. They will also not trap you. Cheers!

The service staff at Nissan of Duncan were very helpful and accommodating. I bought a Nissan Pathfinder from another dealership and the vehicle has had continuous issues. The vehicle is under warranty but the dealership would not provide me with a courtesy vehicle when another problem occurred. The service department at Nissan (Logan and Christopher) helped by providing me with a courtesy car so wouldn’t be without. They also didn’t charge me the last time they inspected my vehicle. I hope I don’t have to return anytime soon but if I do I know I will be taken care of.

Had a great experience with Nissan dealership in Duncan. John Jordan ended up being my sales person who doesn't normally do the sales, but was informative, efficient, professional & not pushy. I would recommend this dealership on the island, considering some make you feel like your being taken to the cleaners.

Took my Sentra in for a checkup before a trip. They found a leak, they say, in the rear passenger side brake (cylinder). $750 or so later went and got the vehicle. Tried to find traces of leak where I park. It is the last place I apply brakes upon return - no trace. Picked up the Sentra, fuel guage showing empty.topped up with $40.no that ain't right. Tried again the next day.wouldn't take a drop. Fuel gauge is false. WENT IN TO THE SHOP WORKING FINE AND LEFT THE SHOP MALFUNCTIONING. Is it just that they like me so much they want me to come back? Or all for the cash?

My experience with this poor costumer service dealership. Sold me a damage car. Travel all the way to the island, arrived and surprised with a higher price and interest rate. I should rate 0. Then they leave me on my own just a few hours of purchasing the car the car had issues. Never cover any expenses or do anything for me. I was just a transaction for them.

Management is horrible on assisting.

Great experience at Nissan! I am just gaining my credit and they got me on a loan with a 2021 and everything I wanted! Fantastic service and patience. The entire staff was on top of my purchase. Ashton and the management team reached out several times over several months to continue the process.

Unfortunately the sale didn’t work out because the place we moved into has no EV chargers, but the process was hassle free.

I’m not recommended this dealership i got a car 2019 nissan sentra then they call me to buy my car and to upgrade my car due to shortage car and they upgrade.they take advantage to other people that is not canadian and give you a high price amount of car there not helping if you first to buy a car with them just HEADS UP 2nd Service is worst -

The absolute WORST dealership I’ve ever dealt with.

When I bought my SUV in 2021, they attempted to keep a large portion of my cash back offer. I was supposed to get back $3000, which was the total amount added on top of my loan, but the finance manager tried to give me a cheque for $2000. I was also promised a roof rack with my purchase; I confirmed this with the finance manager before the sale was finalized. At the time, he left the room, came back, and assured me that the service manager was fully aware of the roof rack and that he would call me within a week or so to have it installed. After a few weeks went by, my salesman slowly stopped answering my texts, and later even the GM blocked my email after (finally) producing the $1000 remainder of my cash back (again, that I paid for). He claimed that I was mistaken, and that a roof rack was never a part of my deal.

So, needless to say, I’ve avoided going to this dealership at all costs; regularly driving to Nanaimo Mitsubishi for my service appointments.

However, last week, my car suddenly started having engine problems at only 23k on the odometer. It wasn’t running properly, but I managed to get it to Nissan of Duncan; where I purchased the vehicle less than a year ago. The service manager was extremely rude, and refused to even look at my vehicle without paying a fee of $160. I was on my way to go camping, and I had my dog with me on an incredibly hot day. He was completely apathetic to my situation, and it was actually the woman working in the service department that, afterwards, gave me the Mitsubishi Roadside Assistance number.

I would recommend anyone thinking about doing business here to run the other way! Rude, manipulative and scammy.

Spare me the BS, please.
It was three, almost four weeks after I bought my car that I had no choice other than to contact the GM about my cash back and roof rack, and he just gave me the cash back that was rightfully mine, and told me a roof rack wasn’t part of the deal, WHEN IT WAS. He wouldn’t know if I was satisfied or not because he blocked me. When I tried replying to the last email, I couldn’t.

For future reference, maybe you shouldn’t block a customer. We can see it.

The service manager also DID NOT suggest roadside assistance, he didn’t care whatsoever about my situation. The girl in service gave me the number to Mitsubishi Roadside later while I was still broken down in the parking lot.

You guys are a joke.

I found this company on Facebook and thought I would give it a try. His rates are very competitive. This morning I had my first experience with one of the employees. Buyer shopper beware
The dealership advertises low cost dealer with all different promos. Reality: the deals dont apply AT ALL to most of what you want to buy or at a fraction of their promise. SURPRISE: they charge OVER MSRP for their popular models when you are ready to purchase and several add ons at huge mark ups (lifetime oil changes) which you can't opt out of. Financing kick backs: they will push financing to get the kickbacks from the lenders even if you dont need it.

We recently bought a used Leaf from Ken (sales person) and Jeff (manager). We were impressed with Ken's thoughtfulness and flexibility. Ken was very accessible. He took extra effort to make the sale happen and was honest and upfront in his approach. Jeff was also straight forward with pricing and conditions. The dealership provided new tires and an immaculate car on delivery. I am in the process of selling a 2019 vehicle and have been approached by 6 dealers in the South Island area. Nissan of Duncan has been the only dealer who have used an honest/no-nonsense/efficient approach. Furthermore, they have shown flexibility with the Malahat closure. I have not sold them the vehicle, but felt compelled to commend them for their professional approach.

This dealership gets their employees to sell their problematic trade ins privately so they don't have to be responsible any repairs. They mask issues with bandaid type repairs to make the vehicle look good to potential buyers. The employees lie and say they are selling vehicle for their parents or whoever but in reality selling it for the dealership. Very untrustworthy business model. Be very careful buying from these scammers.

I bought a car off these guys last month, I was in contact with one of the sales men for a week before I picked up the car and when they picked me up to get the car I had to wait 2.5 hours before anybody talked to me. When I finally saw the car if was FILTHY! The seats are stained and needs a really good shampoo. I had to detail my own car and I have called them multiple times to try and get a detail every time they tell me they will call me back with a appointment but never do. The brakes are warped and need new rotors. Needless to say I wont be back. If I could give them no stars I would

5 Star Service, 5 Star Management Team. Drove by the lot and my wife spotted her car, stopped in and it turned out she didn't like it, but they found the one she wanted and brought it onto their lot the next day. Right at the beginning, their trade in offer was very reasonable and the over all pricing negotiation was easy (we already new our numbers). Zero high pressure, no pushing to make the sale, they followed through on all that was offered. After the purchase, we drove off the lot smiling feeling good about the value and the service. I was so impressed, I will be back in a few weeks to start the process on my new vehicle.

DO NOT GO HERE, not to buy a vehicle or to get maintenance done. They will scam you every opportunity they get,

Most recently, I went to get my oil change done and a tire rotation, they then proceeded to tell me that I needed a wheel alignment. Previous to this, my car wasn't pulling to the left or right and I would have never even noticed that I needed one. When I left the parking lot, my vehicle started pulling to the left hard. I called OK Tire to book an appointment for an alignment because there is no way I will trust Duncan Nissan with my car ever again. They also told me that my charge would be $140, but it ended up being $170 due to 'misc charges' that they didn't tell me about before bringing my car in to be serviced.

The time before I had scheduled an oil change and I asked them about their complementary wash, to which they told me to come back another day for. I also asked them to put in a light bulb (which I already bought) and they told me it would be between $40- $60 for labour. I left and went to Jiffy Lube, where not only did I get my oil change for cheaper, but they put my bulb in for free and even fixed the dent in my car for free. It was wonderful service there, unlike what I experienced at Nissan.

Nearly every time I have gone there before, I have felt like they were always trying to sell me something more. They even tried to sell me a new car once. Ridiculous. Save your time, your money, and your car and take business elsewhere. I have never had a good experience with this place and will make the drive to Victoria or Nanaimo for servicing from now on.

Fantastic! After several sub-par experiences at other dealerships, and one terrible experience at the Nanaimo Nissan, this place was a breath of fresh air! The staff was so laid back and easy to deal with, super friendly and helpful. They really made us feel like they wanted us to get the best deal we could and go home happy. We don't live in Duncan, but we will be making the trip there for servicing because they were so awesome. And who doesn't like dance in front of their new car!? A big thanks to Dave Potter who, though made it such a memorable experience. The whole team was awesome!

After a really horrendous experience with the Victoria Nissan dealership, the Duncan dealership was amazing. Dealt primarily with Glenn Woodman and he was very personable. Everyone we spoke to at the dealership was very friendly and made buying a new car a good experience. They were very fair with price and didn't pressure us to buy. I have had very bad experiences with pushy car sales people to the point where it puts me off from buying a car at all. I ended up with a 2020 Rogue and love it. Would highly recommend the dealership to anyone on the island. I would also tell them to go to Duncan before going to the Victoria dealership. The folks at Duncan are way better and make the effort to not just get your business but retain it.

Absolutely an amazing team! This is how a dealership is supposed to treat you. No pressure from Luke in sales just honest concern to make sure you get the vehicle you want at a very competitive price. Once we got down to the nitty-gritty, it was nice to see that both Brett & Jon made sure we were more than comfortable with the new car and the purchase price. They even helped us get a great deal working with Cassidy in finance, thank you all for your honesty in every step of the purchase.
And FREE unlimited oil changes for life? Who does that?
My wife and I are very pleased that after we had shopped around for many makes and models, we chose the clear front runner. This entire team really does go above and beyond for the satisfaction of the customer. I would highly recommend that you check them out and we will certainly be back for our next new vehicle.

The service department is awesome, wish they were closer to home for us.
We had engine trouble while towing our trailer while vacationing. Our Nissan truck is old with a lot of miles but the service department treated us well. With only an hour left in the day and a long weekend coming they diagnosed and repaired the problem. This saved us a lot of stress trying to find somewhere to move and park our trailer etc. Thank you.

My husband & I had an amazing experience at this dealership with Luke. Going into the process of buying a new vehicle, we were a bit stressed thinking we would have to deal with pushy salesmen. This wasn’t the case with Luke, he was really personable and it felt like talking to an old friend. He asked lots of questions to find out exactly what we were looking for, and never pushed us to try a higher priced model. This dealership is a clean and modern facility in a very convenient location with a great selection of new and used cars and an awesome group of people. Really excellent service, shout-out to Nathan and Gerard for being super easy to deal with, and to Kim in Finance for being awesome. Everyone at this dealership was friendly, accommodating, flexible and fun, and they respected me and my time. The buying experience was easy, and they were less pressure overall than some of the other dealerships I was considering. I'll be taking my car here for servicing based on my experience buying the car, and I'd recommend anyone who is looking for a good new or used car to stop in and check them out.

When you go into a dealership not expecting to buy a car that day and you leave that dealership all smiles, driving a brand new car, you know it's because the staff gave you the best treatment. The entire Nissan team in Duncan, right from the sales staff to financial persons to insurance personnel and managers made purchasing our car easy and they were very respectful. On July 28th we had an appointment to test drive a Nissan truck. I left the keys to my truck with the sales guy while I went for the test drive. The vehicle was not for me so upon return I got my keys back and left. A few minutes after I had left the dealership called to advise they had my insurance papers and I could pick them up at reception. Apparently a photo copy was taken and the originals were not returned to my vehicle.
Now here is the part that doesn't sit well.
At no time did I give anyone permission to go rooting through my vehicle and remove my insurance papers and take a copy of them. I left my keys with the salesman as he wanted to have a look and do a quick appraisal in the event I wanted to trade it in.
When i returned and picked up my insurance I requested the photocopy as well which he promptly returned. He said it was just for proof of ownership is the reason he took the copy. If that is true then why the hell did he feel the need to take a copy of the second page which outlines my coverage and cost of insurance?
This is common practice as he stated. The only reason I found out is because he forgot to return the papers before i got back. This is completely unethical such poor judgement. Sorry Nissan, you may have a good product but your Duncan team is way too greasy!
If that's how they do business they wont be in business long

Have been given the run around about a replacement vehicle for 2 days now. The car I bought is under warranty but they have failed to deliver their end of the deal. Anytime we have called we get promises that end in excuses.

My engine light has gone on many times since day 1. They have done nothing to help me. They are awful. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

What an amazing experience! You really feel like family walking in and out of this dealership. They make your experience great from the time you drive in to the time you drive out. Highly recommend going for a visit and seeing for yourself! No fluff, no sales pitches, just genuine people.

This Dealership with the great friendly and helpful staff helped me get into a new to me great little suv. I had been to all the dealerships in Duncan looking for just the right ride and they had it sitting out front as if waiting just for me. The process was quick and fast. Just went in today to have a polish and detail. Great job Chris. Thank you. They actually remember me. Highly recommend this fantastic sales team if you are looking for a new or used vehicle. And absolutely horrible experience with the car after I purchase it I've only had it for roughly about 3 to 4 weeks I've had nothing but problems they never even gave me an oil change my oil light came on 3 or 4 days after I purchased a vehicle it makes me think if they even did a check up on the vehicle my engine light has come came on multiple times and they will not do anything about it I will never ever go back there again there are absolutely useless there's a few nice people in there I can't remember the names the finance lady was amazing and Morgan was amazing

Wonderful customer service, Persistantly positive team, and Amazingly well-taken-care-of Vehicles. My wife and I bought a '18 Nissan Sentra recently with them because they worked to help us find a car that met all of our needs amd satisfied all of our wants. Thank You Nissan of Duncan

I drove up there from Victoria after viewing the white versa that was on sale. They did have lots of pictures online but I did not see the large gash / scratch on the drivers rear side. When I phoned the sales person and asked if there were any scratches or declarations he flat out told me “ no”. He even said he would pay for my gas up there.

When I got up there they could see my disappointment as I felt it was a classic bait and switch. He proceeded to show me some other comparable vehicles with large discounts. Not one asking any probing questions of my actual needs or wants. A manager did apologize saying lots of 8 k? Photos in there to peruse.

I will never go there again And certainly not recommend them to my up island friends. Also, I do not need the cookie cutter - please call us to discuss as I already filled out the survey you sent me. Good thing we couldn’t shake hands as I probably would have lost a finger.

For the first time ever I purchased a Nissan, having owned only Hondas in the past three decades! I dealt with both Mack & Andrew and was very pleased with the help they provided. I wasn't pressured and I walked away feeling I got a good deal on a good vehicle. Of course, Nissan of Duncan has to prove itself to me when I start taking my vehicle in for servicing. As well, I dealt with Lily and Morgan and found they were also very patient, professional and great to deal with. I would highly recommend the dealership and these staff members.

I regret going to this Nissan dealership after my first time visiting. The overall environment is quite unprofessional which is quite a shame coming from such a reputable brand. The music was unbearably loud and distracting the entire time I spent there. The manager was very rude to myself as well as aggressive and unprofessional. They certainly do not stick with their word. Would highly recommend not buying from here and looking elsewhere!

Great staff, friendly environment and a DOG! Ashley in charge of the finance department is particularly great at her job. I’d give 6/5 stars if I could.

This is the second car I buy from Nissan of Duncan. I came back because I feel comfortable and well taken care of. John and Morgan made it clear and easy for me. They helped make the best offer possible. I appreciated their kindness and patience. Ryan answered all the questions I had about the functioning of my new vehicle. Christina was efficient in crafting the financial part of the deal. All the staff is friendly, available and I have already recommended this place to the people I know!
