I'm giving a one because I can't give a zero. Me and my two small children where violently I'll after eating from here. Horribly I'll.

Absolutely the worst food and service period. We will never return to any on the locations.

I gave this location 2 chances, 3 years apart and both times were awful. Rude, slow service and substandard food. I love Noodlebox but this location is just bad.

Ordered mild/medium Drunken noodles with crispy tofu today. Out of tofu. Fine, got prawns instead.

They cooked my food and then forgot to give it to me so it sat on the pass for almost 10 minutes while all the staff was in the back. Couldn't get anyone's attention to hand me my food.

Finally got home with the food and it's a solid med/hot (I've been eating at various NB locations for 20 years, I understand their spice ranges) and the $4.50 prawns were actually half a dozen overcooked shrimp. Very small and rubbery.

Save your money or go to the Port Place location.

We ordered thai chow mein today March 25,2023 at around 6pm. The lady cashier was not interested to explain the difference of food in a bowl and box.

The food is totally bland, it doesn't taste Thai at all. It taste indian curry. They better call it indian chow mein. I'm like eating the noodles without any seasoning.

If I could only go back to the store and return the food and ask for refund. I am definitely disappointed and such a waste of money.

I've been enjoying Noodlebox at various locations around BC since 2008. This was hands down the worst experience so far. I ordered the Singapore Thai Curry and it was essentially flavourless. It was packed with chilis so it burned out my sinuses but was otherwise totally bland.

The service was also terrible. I ordered online 40 minutes before requested completion time, arrived a few minutes early for pick up, and the order was still late. The staff were also really grumpy, the energy in the location was pretty unpleasant. Will not be returning.

I used to eat at Noodle Box on the regular, and it was both delicious and reliably safe as a celiac.
Since they became a franchise, the quality has gone entirely downhill, and they have adopted the ridiculous "gluten friendly" (honestly, this is the most ridiculous and just inaccurate term- nobody calls peanut-free food "peanut friendly", or dairy-free food "dairy friendly") term instead of offering celiac safe options like they did before.
The food we were served this evening was extremely spicy (mild option ordered) and essentially flavorless.
Super disappointed!

This place is usually really good but tonight it is like a lake of sauce in the bowl which I actually asked for a box poor service all around

Went to noodle box for the first time today.walked by and smelled the most amazing smell, so we ordered lunch. Wow! They were the loveliest people to deal with.our food was prepared in good time, when served it was fresh, hot and taste Fantastic! Please give them your money.they will be getting lots of ours from now on…!

Ordered prawns & tofu with 2 of our 3 boxes, charged extra (no problem with that) but then they didn’t put any prawns in either of them. I ordered zoo noodles in mine, which I’ve had before many times, I expected it to be a bit more watery because of that, but it was completely soup. It was mostly liquid in the bowl with a bit of actual solid food. The girl that started helping me was really nice, then some other lady comes, dismisses her rudely shaking her head at her, I guess she did something wrong before that? Anyway, the lady that took over wasn’t very friendly. I tipped anyway, because maybe they were having a bad day? When I got home and found the result of our order, I called, got the same lady, I was being nice about it, she said she was busy right now with customers there and she would call me back, not even a sorry, like I was inconveniencing her! She never called me back! Am I not a customer too? She gladly took my money before that! They have messed up a few times and we never say anything, this time I thought we should say something! Guess it doesn’t matter anyway! I suggest opening your order up at the counter and checking it before leaving!

One of the best restaurants I have ever visited in Nanaimo the taste of the food was really delicious the staff was amazing the spicy peanut was the best dish would recommend everyone to try it. Will visit the place again.

I normally don't write reviews like this but I am extremely disappointed in the service, especially after spending the money.

First, I ordered delivery and when I picked up my bag from my front step it was SOAKED. The bottom broke though on both bag and bowl and my food came crashing down on to my front carpet. I managed save some of it on the way down. There was a ridiculous amount of water in the bowl.

Second, it was the completely wrong order. I went to taste the two spoonfuls I managed to catch and it was extremely spicy. Which I thought was weird since I ordered a mild teriyaki bowl. It was the completely wrong order.

Im disappointed because I scrapped most of it off my carpet and had the throw what I saved out because it was too spicy to eat. So now it is all in the garbage. Would not recommend this restaurant.

Awful -first most Noodlebox I find the people to be customer service oriented at this location I’ve gone three times and the cashier is usually younger and nice or kind. But it is obvious the owner/chef is quite miserable and that says a lot to work to put into the food.

This is the worst location for noodle box I’ve been going to Victoria’s noodle box ever since they opened it’s always been really hot and fresh with lots of veggies and really great sauces etc. I don’t know what happened the last three times at this location but it is mainly spending $14-$16 for rice or noodles very limited sauce and a few broccoli with some other small pieces. Huge disappointment we wont be here again

Great food but you need to be prepared to wait for it.
We've been waiting over 40 minutes. This is the second time that we've tried it and both have been very long waits.

Ordered a "Crispy Chicken Pad Thai" and found the chicken is all batter and no chicken. And for the batter I received it was the size of a dime. Pathetic. If I wasnt so hungry when I ordered it I would return it. There is good reason for the large amount of 1 star reviews.

I've been going to Noodlebox since it opened in Victoria. Yes flavors and quality vary place to place or even depending on who's cooking. I was nervous to order again at this location because my last order just tasted of oil and reading the recent reviews it wasn't looking great. However I think the owner is listening to the feedback because this was one of the best Spicy Peanut with Prawn and extra Veggies I've had! The person at the front counter was friendly as well.

First 3 times was really good, hot and fresh. Ordered gluten-free Pad Thai combo with shrimp/chicken each time. Tonight tried to charge extra, food was cold, gluey noodles and unable to eat. Disappointed and won't go back.

The front line person didn't have the courtesy of answering with the name of the business, had to ask if it was the Noodle Box. Vegetables were all over cooked and soggy. Side order of prawns consisted of 2 overcooked prawns, hardly eatable! Will never order anything from there again, don't even deserve 1 star!

I never have a good experience when I come here but unfortunately I live in the area and the one downtown is just too far.
They're disrespectful people and never get my order right.
Very disappointed in the customer service, it's much less than acceptable.
I will absolutely never be back, I'd rather starve.

BUYERS BEWARE!

I ordered from skip the dishes and their butter chicken was listed as $18 on the app, but on the physical receipt it was listed at $15. I didn't add any extras and the price was before the delivery and taxes. Talked to them and they said they don't control the prices. Contacted skip the dishes and they said it was up to the restaurant list the prices.

I don't like to be swindled for the same food and portions and then be paying for delivery on top of it.

Went in when the store was empty and was told it would take 25 minutes, asked to pick it up an hour later and when i did i STILL had to wait another half hour.the service was disrespectful and she rolled her eyes when i asked for cutlery.

This place is best one on island i just loved their spicy peanut, thai style chowmein, butter chicken and spring rolls (veggie and apple) staff is so friendly and humble order comes right in time.they take great care about cleaniness i loved this location coming back again n again to try other dishes from menu

Just a 2 Star today Metral Rd location.normally they are pretty good but this time they gave me the wrong order after waiting for 25min. I dont recall my crispy chicken bowl having shrimp and peanuts in the ingredients or being pork I'm sure the guy ahead of me paid extra for the shrimp. 2 customers upset today, one star for each.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant on island. The food is always amazing! Staff is also great and always efficient, happy and polite.their butter chicken, thai style chowmein and chinese fried rice are my top fav from menu. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat.good job good luck

Was asked to wait after my friend ordered. I ordered maybe 2 mins later. My food arrived 15 mins after theirs, which took 15 mins. So 30 mins ordered to food. Looked liked they served 2 door dash orders instead.

Not worth waiting for.

The place was loud and the cashier was barely audible but our order was correct. The staff moved super slow and our order took forever. Saw most of the staff not wearing their masks properly when in the back/cooking and they didn’t check the vaccine passport of one guy who came to dine in.

. That said, their highest spice level is legitimately the most spicy food I’ve found in Canada and the Cambodian curry/Szechuan dishes tasted absolutely fantastic. If they’re still open after COVID inevitably burns through their staff and customer base, I’ll definitely be returning for more!

The last four orders I have placed at this location have been wrong. I always ask for no onions and every time they put onions in it, making the food inedible for me. If I could give no stars I would. I will never order from here again. Go to the port place location instead.

My family was hungry and we have a 3 year old who was very hungry too. Ordered on the app. I went to pick it up and they forgot 2 of the child mac n cheese. Told me it would be 10 minutes to make the child mac n cheese. So we waited outside as my 3 year old was crying and upset, because kids do not like to wait for food. Went back in to get my order, it looked like it was right. Get home and the chicken is all over cooked and rubbery. My 3 year old would not eat the chicken. The Cambodian bowl I ordered is nothing like the one I ordered at port place mall. They forgot 1 of the Cambodian rolls. The noodles where not the rice noodles and I specifically ordered rice noodles on the app. It lays it out really nice on the app in plain typed English letters. I am not sure if it is a language barrier, maybe the chef cant read English? The consistency was just one big bowl of slop it was mushy and gross I actually threw it out and ended up ordering pizza. We will never order again from Metral Station Noodle Box. Stick with the one at Port Place Mall it is always really good and they never miss a thing.
