Went to the West End location. Food was incredible, though very expensive. Ordered a pizza, pasta, cider and cocktail. The bill came out to $93.
The place is quite small. Seats about 20-30 people. Got seated and had to wait 30minutes for someone to take our drink order. Ordered our food and drinks. The other person I was with got their food 15minutes before me. The food was to die for though. Incredibly delicious, big portions. After we ate and got our plates taken away and got the bill we had to wait another 30minutes to pay the bill. Over all loved the food but the service was lacking.

I recently visited your west end location.the Margherita pizza was delightful, the gnocchi was bit salty for my taste.

Unfortunately, my visit was overshadowed by a negative encounter with a waitress named Clair. Her loud and rude behavior created a unpleasant atmosphere. On a positive note, the female bartender was friendly and nice and male waiter was nice.

I brought a small snack with me per my doctor's advice, and when Clair insisted I discard it without a trash can in sight, I chose to consume it as there was only a bite left and to avoid unnecessary waste to the environment. Regrettably, this led to an uncomfortable situation as she shouted and humiliated me in-front of many people.

Despite our ordered food not yet arriving, the disappointment had already set in, leaving me embarrassed in front of my friend who traveled from Australia.

I suggest including proper training, to enhance the overall customer experience. The Kitsilano and Shipyards locations have set a standard for a better atmosphere and service.

Another customer had spilt a drink on me and got it all over my white shirt. Sarah immediately came over to take care of my brother and I and went above and beyond to help clean myself up. The cherry on top was how fantastic the food was! I will 100% be dining here again in the future for their top quality food and exemplary customer service skills.

Amazing food, amazing wine, amazing service. One the best dining experiences I’ve ever had anywhere in the world. Cannot rave this place any harder. 10/10 will go back every single time I'm in Vancouver.

I have to say, delicious Gluten free pasta, the waitress was so knowledgeable and suggested a dish that was perfect. Please be aware that only certain pasta can beade GF.

An enjoyable meal. The atmosphere is fine. Nothing remarkable. An upscale pizza venue. There are a lot of comparable places around.

The food was very good. I struggled to decide if it was a 4 or a 5 star place. I don't think puzza in Vancouver is very good, on the whole. But this was good pizza. Neopolitan style pizza. Nice crust, good sauce, good toppings. It was.very nice. In comparison to other places here it was very good, but I could see someone saying it is well made pizza but it should be.

You will like it.

The salads were good. So that took it up to a 5 star for me. The tomato salad was good and the kale salad was very well done.

The service was excellent. Really attentive and helpful.

Try it out. You'll like it.

Probably the best meal I have ever had start to finish. I got the Italian 75 cocktail which was limey and refreshing. The Nook Caesar was perfect in every way- nice and tangy. I followed with the Rigatoni Boscaiola, which was the best pasta I’ve ever had- creamy, and the pasta was noticeably handmade. The prosciutto and mushrooms with the sauce added the perfect balance of saltiness and earthiness. Ahh I didn’t want it to end. I finished the meal with the Italian chocolate pudding, a perfect and not-too-sweet silky pudding with orange essence, salted caramel and whipped cream.
Will be back every opportunity I have.

This is one the best Italian restaurants in Downtown Vancouver. Cozy environment, good prices and the tiramisu is worth your money to try it out.

The server who is also the owner I think it’s so great. Damn, he deserves a good tip.

The Nook in the Denman is the best. The quality of food, customer service is adorable. There is a lady there who her name is Linda ; she knows her job so much. I’m glad to live close by and have chance to go there often!

Because I come with friends who are vegan. So we got all things plant based. But I am meat person. So I don’t know how to rate this time. But overall, it was a good dinning experience. I will give a shot again with people who can eat meat to provide the accurate review.

First time at the Denman location, we usually to the one in Olympic Village. We're pretty boring and always order the same dishes, plain cheese pizza for our son, focaccia, meatballs and the orecciette. I think they're a bit more heavy handed with the parmesan at this location which I absolutely love. Our meal was sososo good. This location is a fraction of the size of OV, but super cozy, love the seat in the corner window for two. The servers were amazing and know what they're doing as far as Tetris-ing the tables to fit everyone in without making it feel crowded. Lovely dinner. Also found parking just a block away no problem on a Friday night.

Cute warm little nook! No joke food was amazing. Marinara Pizza, meat balls, Bolognese and focaccia. Also had the expresso w cream.

Love coming here. The food is classic and comforting and their whipped ricotta is so, so good! The only thing is their focaccia is not that at all but actually just pizza dough-type bread with Parmesan cheese on it. Still delicious, but not focaccia.

What an amazing experience! Dining out has changed since COVID, but Phil went above and beyond to provide such a memorable moment. He is truly a gem. He took us on a beautiful journey and educated us throughout our culinary experience. He provided us with many gluten free options. The cocktails and the food were delicious! No organization and severely under staffed. Nook has great food but terrible management. Treated poorly last night. Had to wait in the cue even though i made a take-out order on the phone. Then waited another 20 minutes and was told "if your food is ready i'll bring it over". I understand everybody is busy there and it's a Saturday night but don't take orders if you can't handle it. I have kids at home hungry. I go to nook a lot so this one made me especially sad. To the owners, don't penny pinch in the wrong areas. Get more staff and hire the right staff. Cheers

We ate here twice (2 nights in a row!) in late September. It is simply awesome. We were headed to Whistler for an endurance event and did major carb loading here. Claire was so nice as well. LOVE this restaurant and can’t say enough about it.

Both times I’ve been here the food was amazinggg! The pizza and pasta were so fresh and perfectly cooked. The staff is always friendly too, especially Paul and Adam who took care of us last night. Can’t wait to come back!

Here you will be greeted not only by the smells of deliciousness but by smiling people. I am in love with Nook. I can’t be more satisfied when I am here. Great food, service, and knowledgeable, friendly staff️️ This Italian restaurant will NEVER disappoint you. I Have dined at Nook numerous times over two years. And it’s always been my favourite spot when I feel blue. All of what they have is totally fresh, the pasta, focaccia, burrata, and the olive oil. Such an incredible atmosphere in a lovely neighbourhood setting. My favourite dish is Rigatoni Boscaiola. For sure, Reservations at a good dinner timeslot can be difficult, but I am a solo resident I find my spot always in the bar. I always enjoy coming back here.

Adam was an unreal server for us. He was friendly, accommodating and had some great suggestions. The food was unreal, both the pizza special and burrata were great. They obviously care about the ingredients they use.

Hands down one of the best Margherita pizzas I’ve had if not the best! Loved the vibe of the restaurant and very friendly staff.

I love NOOK ️my husband & I went there last Friday; sweet & chill staff to greet us, a chef who’d served us while sitting at the roof top bar & we both had AMAZING pastas with a bottle of white to share, cheers!

We had dinner at Nook Denman Sunday May 15. Food as usual was good. Noise unbearable. Asked the waitress if she could turn down the music - a pleasant yes but nothing happened. Asked the bartender, again no luck. Four of us spent the evening yelling across the table at each other. Even the waitress had difficulty hearing us. It's one of our neighbourhood restaurants - we will never go back.

We order the gnocchi and sausage pizza. They would both rank as some of the best we have ever had. Go here for sure. It’s amazing.

Great pizza and pasta. Food is always delicious Come early as the lineups form quickly. The restaurant is very accommodating for families with young children too.

Delicious food, it's a bit on the expensive side but you get what you pay for. I especially recommend gnocci and their pizzas.

This is really 4.5 star review. Their food was tasty and they were very courteous. Prices were reasonable for portions and taste.

Def a bit of a smaller place so make sure you try to reserve a table, if not they take walk-ins!
The only reason why I didn’t give them 5 stars was because I wish their menu had a little bit more options.

The food was delicious. The pate is my fave. The meatball is amazing too. The pizza was good but not the best I've had. The waitress/server was ok. I know they were busy and had ppl waiting for a table. But we felt rushed out of there.

Fantastic pasta and pizza. Good vibes for 2/3 small group hang out and chill. The only thing I may comment is the noise level indoor can be a bit too much. But all in all it’s a place we will check out regularly!

The staff is amazing, the food is fresh - simple and DELICIOUS. The ingrediants are top notch and the atmosphere is great for either a date with your babe or a dinner with a friend.

We only queued for 10 minutes and were shown a table facing window to street that was intimate and away from the crowded table area. We ordered pizza and a bottle of wine and it was delicious - wish we had known about it earlier as we had some mediocre Italian in city. I will def go back to try more.

It has been a really rough week and despite the horrible situation, especially for restaurants like yourself, you had the kindness to surprise us with FREE pizza totally out of the blue. I truly believe what goes around comes around and I hope you gets all the good things you guys deserve. Thanks again, the pizza from Nook is seriously amazing, the crust is soooo good, and we really really appreciated it. So kind.

It's the Italian experience in Vancouver. Soft lights, nice staff, good eighties music. And reaaally good pizzas and pasta. Try the desserts too, they're worth it)

This restaurant is one of my favourites for the atmosphere, the food and the community. Its small and cozy but totally worth the wait! Hands down my favourite restaurant in Vancouver, its a must!

Their pizzas and olives are outstanding 10/10 perfect! This is the ONLY place in Vancouver that is cozy even when it's full. Try these red wines: "Masseria Liveli - Aleatico Passito" and "Masseria Liveli - GARRISA"

Nook is a great little date spot with excellent service and food. I'd strongly recommend the pizza at Nook; it tastes like pizza you get in Italy. If you're a vegetarian, or married to idea of eating locally, you're going to have a bit of a hard time with the menu. That said, the food is, and I hate to use the word, authentic.

What a good experience we had last night. Party of 8. The server was amazing! He had every quality needed for his job. Very knowledgeable about the food and helpful in the ordering.
We were able to relax and enjoy ourselves and the great flavours of the food and wine.

LOVED our dinner here! The food was excellent, the server was so friendly and funny, he was awesome. Even our kids enjoyed their meal (pizza and fries always a kid pleaser) super packed and great energy, the entire wall of Windows was open to the sidewalk for great al fresco like dining and even more street scapes to enjoy in this awesome neighborhood. Great cocktails too!

I was there Friday Sept 6,2019 with my sister and after a beautiful day at the beach we went to Nook and had one of the best restaurant experiences in Vancouver. We sat outside and our server (can’t remember her name, but long blonde hair and had a super open and fun personality) she was one of the best servers I have ever had. Some of our food didn’t come out to the right standards but she made sure it was fixed and that we got the right quality. The whole experience was wonderful. I would highly recommend this place to any one who wants to have a a truly complete and caring dinning experience. This is a restaurant that I believe truly cares about the dinning experience!

My dear friend Robert has taken me here 3 times and it's never a disappointment. Friendly and top shelf service with a very tight and family atmosphere. For exquisite tastes and freshly made food I can't think of a better place in this area to have an outstanding meal!

Been here a few times and still thoroughly enjoy it. Great food, cool vibe only thing I've noticed is that it can be hit or miss with wait time for food to come out.

This is a nice Italian restaurant offering a great choice of dishes, including a delicious pizza and fresh made pasta. We had a few dishes to taste and enjoyed all of them very much. I can’t rate 5 stars because the food was over-salted. All dishes were bearable but my meatball sauce served with gnocchi was not great. We had a nice bottle of wine recommended by our server and it tasted great. We’ll be back for an occasion, it’s a bit too pricey for regular dining.

Wow. Our last night in Vancouver and what a meal to finish with. Beautiful food and excellent service in a relaxed atmosphere. We left after a three course meal and a couple of drinks - couldn't manage another mouthful but enjoyed each one we did.

Great pizza, succulent appetizers, all around great atmosphere and flavour. The bar tender was really fun to talk to, and all the servers were super nice.

Sat at the chef's table for this one. Also had a few edibles before dinner, lol! What a great night we had. The food was great too!

Another small Vancouver treasure. Great atmosphere, wonderful home made offerings, great wine selection and a friendly and knowledgeable staff. There was a bit of a wait to get into this smaller spot, about 20 minutes, but once seated the staff were so accommodating and lovely. Great spag bol, lovely pizza crusts, just delicious.

Very nice staff and excellent pasta. The restaurant is cozy and friendly. Selection of wine is great with impressive and simple pasta and pizza. Price is at market price. Just be there early!

My first time there the service was great we had a Lovely pizza and gnocchi both were very good! They have a wide selection of Italian wines.

Everything is impressively delicious, but also drizzly oily, there must have been at least half bottle of oil in our 5 person meal.the flavors are great though, the experience is worth the wait, staff is friendly, cozy environment, very good selection of wines, but probably not so healthy to go back often:)
