North Shore Auto Repair is the best! They gave me a great estimate within minutes of contacting them and got me in the next day. Service was quick, efficient and thorough. 10/10 and will recommend to friends and family. I also appreciate that they are available by messenger and are happy to text you when your car is ready.

Bought my car for a maintenance, the estimated price for every services are clearly listed on an invoice beforehand.

I had phenomenal service from North Shore Auto Repair. Was directly texted about everything I need to have done and was asked and quoted before they went ahead with each job. Everything was done in a timely manner and they were easy and a pleasure to deal with. All the quotes they gave were a reasonable cost and they know what they are doing. Definitely recommend their services if you have any issues with your car.

I brought in my BMW to replace the charge pipe, get an oil change, and flush the brake fluid. There was a miss communication on my side about the time I needed to pick up my vehicle and they were extremely helpful and accommodating and were able to get everything done before the end of the day. Not to mention the quote given for the work was more than reasonable.

Tire had a nail during the long weekend – luckily I was able to find this location open on a Sunday. Jack opened his shop and helped me take the nail out of the tire and make sure all tire pressures were taken care of. Appreciate him making the time!

Amazing experience here. Called about a leaking tire and was driving away with a plug in 45 minutes. Great price and people. Highly recommend.

Helen was very friendly and her husband and son did an excellent job on my brake and rotor replacement. I needed the car on a quick turnaround and they were able to accommodate. Everything was clear, there was no pressure to get services that I did not request. On top of that, they reached out to the dealership for a part that their suppliers did not have. I phoned Power max 15 min later the car was in the shop then 10min later it was fixed. Also, he had no problem coming to help when I had a flat tire after leaving. Good people, good prices.

The first time I took my vehicle here with a serious issue they treated me fantastic. They did the work properly and without overcharging me. I thought I found my new garage in North Van. Recently I bring my car in for a check up and was charged over 350 dollars for an oil change and tire rotation and an hour of work. Too much but okay at least my car has been inspected and is good. After leaving with my car the engine light comes on. That could be bad luck so I take it back and they tell me it's my PCV valve (which I have already replaced once) and they tell me it's 198 for the valve cover (which I can get at 103 from the dealership) and over 2 hours of labour (which it is 1.1 quoted by 2 other shops). I am very disappointed since I really enjoyed their service initially and they had a customer for life. Treat your customers fair. It's not so hard.

I was in a bit of an emergency with my Mini Cooper engine overheating due to a leak in the coolant tank. Jack and his team were able to get my car in that day and diagnose honestly and fix by the next day. They were even nice enough to clean my car for me (after seagulls terrorized my car overnight) and deliver my car all the way to my home. Jack is very kind and knowledgeable about German cars. I will definitely recommend this shop to my friends and will be returning back for any issues!

What a great place, good prices, friendly people and very accommodating to say the least
They first quoted me a price and when the job was completed, there were no hidden or unexpected extra charges
Got on well with the staff. Jack the owner, provided me with transportation home and even offered to buy me lunch. Valentino, the mechanic working on my car spent extra time with me going over my car and taking the time to answer my questions
A couple days later, I purchased a 2008 BMW 128i for my wife and decided to get a fresh new oil change and a general going over on the car to see if there were any issues needing dealing with.
Again, I was quoted the cost of the oil change
When I came to pick the car up, they only charged me for the oil change and no charge to look over the car for any deficiencies
Further Valentino also did a couple of small minor jobs installing some new wipers and a couple of fender marker lights that I provided.
Installing those parts only took him a couple of minutes but good will goes a long way and I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. I will continue to give them all my business

Best service I have ever had. Fixed my brakes in less than 24 hours and charged a very fair price. The mechanic even demonstrated to me that I had too much oil in my car and took the excess out free of charge. I tried to tip him for it and he wouldn’t take my money! Very welcoming and genuine staff. If you need anything fixed go to this shop.

I had a screw in my tire and they fixed it just in 2 minutes with no waiting in the Sunday evening, definitely recommend them.

Jack was our savior in the emergency, thank you very much! We wanted to start our road-trip through BC in Vancouver, when suddenly our brake failed. At 10pm Jack still helped us, offered us his RV for the night and the next day he repaired 3 jobs on the car within 6 hours, which lost us very little time. The repair was good, fast, organized and at a fair price! All the staff were very helpful and friendly, we felt very well taken care of:) if you need a repair on the car, go here, highly recommended!

My car died Saturday night and they had a new alternator in by Sunday afternoon. Family business, cost estimates in writing prior to doing any work. I'm a very happy client.

I was recommended to North Shore Auto Repair by a friend. My front low beam light is on and off intermittently. I was told that most likely is the bulb, and the receptionist show me the cost of part, labor, taxes and total price on an big TV screen face to customer seat. The mechanic spent about 20 min, found out that is not the bulb, it is the socket burnt. While I was wandering how much more it would cost me, he told me that there is no additional bill to find the problem. You knew every cent you were paying for what if you were here. Effeminately come back to this location, highly recommend North Shore Auto Repair!

Over the weekend I had the perennially stressful ABS warning light pop-up on the dash of my BMW 135i. No longer under warranty, this flashing light potentially means big $$$. Took my car into North Shore Auto Repair the next morning and by that afternoon, my ABS sensor was replaced, warning lights off, all with an invoice that was fair and much more affordable than that of the dealer. Great job, great people. Will definitely be going back!

North Shore Auto was able to get me in within hours of calling for brake work that needed quick attention. They were able to get the work done by the end of the day and were up front about what the cost would be. Would highly recommend to anybody needing work done on their vehicles.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this family, and their business. I took my car in with an issue with an ABS sensor. They texted me with updates and a quote with the breakdown of charges for labour, parts and shop supplied all indivually, so that I could see exactly what I was paying for. The text also asked for permission to proceed.
It turned out my front brake pads needed replacing so that did that too.
I got my car back and drove it over to Deep Cove and noticed it was making a metal on metal kind of grinding noise. I texted them thinking that I'd hear back in the morning when they were open, but got a text back tonight. Even though I had BCAA and could have easily had my car towed to the shop, they insisted on driving out to look at it. They came to me about 15 minutes from the shop and fixed the issue on site. I'm totally blown away by their kindness! It was so far above and beyond what I would have expected.
They have a customer for life in me, and I highly recommend North Shore Auto Repair to anyone for their car repair and maintenance needs.

These guys have made auto servicing an actual pleasure, which I understand sounds ridiculous but they are simply VERY good people.
I send everyone, who asks, there to see if they can get them sorted.

Worst experience of my life! Very slow and they replaced my breakes but ended up with another problem, which after we drove it for half an hour and came back to show them, they said its not our problem. I do not reccomend that anyone goes there as now my car is worse than before.

As usual they are fast and so efficient they understand the meaning of good service!

I love this shop. I get the quickest response to my inquiries, whether just a 'look over' on my vehicle or scheduling me in. They have a quick turn around on repairs, as well. I also like that they are quite versatile on types of repairs. I recommend to anyone.

Very fine people who did a great job fixing my car, for a fair price. Nice family operation, honest and ethical in their dealings. Happy to do business with them, and I recommend them to all.

They stayed open a little later than normal to take care of a brake issue I was having. Took the time to explain the work and what caused it and offer suggestions for the future. I can't say enough how much I appreciated it since I'm from out of town and scheduled to drive home the next day.

I brought my van in to troubleshoot a grinding noise that was coming from my wheels. They showed me the problem which was a bolt that came off one of my brake calipers. They were honest and to the point with no upselling. They quickly fixed the problem and had me on the road shortly. Since then, I've also had my struts replaced from them. Same great service. I will definitely be coming back.

Upon calling I was asked to come in ASAP, quick quote and quick service. The most convenient auto shop in North Van for general repair.

Found the North Shore Auto Repair team to be super pleasant and professional to deal with. Was easy to arrange an appointment as well as they provided suggestions as to what needed done (i.e. Spark plugs etc.). The mechanic even took the time to show the used parts after the work! Had a nail in my tire on a Sunday! Whilst all other tire places closed and long waits at Canadian Tire and Mr Lube I just about gave up. Called the North Shore Auto Repair and he came to open up for me. Fixed the tire in less than 30 mins. Good fast professional service! Thank you so much for saving my day

Brakes done perfect. No complaints. Kept me updated throughout the day friendly service. Also provided lots of options on parts OEM and after market.

They helped me out very quickly. Took my car in and was back on the road in a few hours. Also just had a wheel stud replaced and they got that done for a fair price and also did an oil change and filled up brake fluid. Overall very pleased with the service. After getting some work done on my car at another repair shop, I had been having nonstop problems with my car battery. We had been in and out of auto shops for the past year with no solution and multiple batter replacements. When I brought my car here they were able to diagnose and fix my car in just one day and were able to fix the mistake of the original repair shop and they had it completed in just one day. Now my car is back to running as it should! I’m incredibly grateful that they took the time to listen to my problems and concerns and address them. We will definitely be bringing our car here again for any future work! Thank you!

This was a great experience all around. They fit me in on short notice when my check engine light came on randomly. They got the car done in the same day before I was even done work that day, and had it ready to go good as new when I arrived. The staff was all great and helpful and they provided text updates throughout the day with the progress, steps they had taken and will be taking and updated price estimates as we go. The price was so good at the end of everything I almost couldn’t believe it. I will be using north shore for any auto problems I run into in the future for sure.

The first time I brought my vehicle here, I had the pleasure of meeting Helen and Valentino. They were very personable and extremely transparent about every step they would need to take to fix my BMW (Fuel Pump needed replacing + some other minor fixes). They got the job done, but my main reason for returning was how much trust I felt with them.

The second time around, my car was tended to by Marian and absolutely nothing has changed. Every step that needed to be taken and every part that needed replacing (my Inner Tie rod and MAF sensor this time) was explained. Marian provided photos and did the job efficiently.

If you are looking for a trustworthy mechanic that can become your new regular spot, I highly recommend giving them a shot!

Highly recommend North Shore Auto Repair! My brakes seized whilst travelling in the evening from Whistler to Richmond and we had to be towed. North shore stayed open late for us and provided us with great service. They were quick, professional and honest with the pricing too which we really appreciated. Had my car back on the road with brand new brakes (and fixed my parking brake too which had not worked since I got the car 10 months ago) by early afternoon the next day. Really nice family business! These guys were amazing. I was on a road trip, far away from home when my car broke down on the sea to sky highway. While being towed I called many places, but these guys were the only ones who made me and my trip a priority. When my car was dropped off they stopped everything they were doing to put it on a lift, diagnose the problem and fix it immediately. They even let me sit in their heated office while i waited. I am so thankful for these guys and their small family business and wish them all the best. I will be back if I ever need anything while in vancouver again!

I want to acknowledge that Jack was kind enough to replace a defective part on my car that had been previously installed by North Shore Auto Repair. The part failed just after the 1 year warranty and after some discussion, it was replaced free of charge. I appreciate his integrity and willingness to make it right - thank you.

Jack is one of the most dedicated mechanics I've met. My car broke down on a road trip bright and early on a Sunday and chance led me to getting my repairs done here.

Honest, up front, no beating around the bush. Exactly the mechanic I needed to get me on the road on a rough Sunday.

You can tell working in automotive is this man's passion by just walking in to the shop.

They tried to sell me on changing all 4 disk brake rotors and pads for over $2000 in total. Argument was "seized caliper". I've checked with other mechanics, that's false information. I definitely not advise to go here.

Hey. We brought in our car, we wanted an inspection. We spent 462 dollars on it. They said they fixed the car. We drove away. One day later, the car wheel caught on fire, and they said it wasn't their fault.

I was in a pinch with my 10 yr old GMC Sierra approaching an undrivable state on Saturday Morning. I needed it to drive my family back to Calgary on Monday, Tuesday at the latest. I gave the shop a call and was rolling her in immediatly. I knew she had a few issues, but was not sure exactly what they were.

Jack took me for a drive in my Sierra to listen and feel for problems. He clearly explained what could be going on. The issues ended up being front wheel berrings and a busted CV boot. He also checked the ball joints to make sure they didn't need replacing. Luckily they hadn't been damaged.
Before Jack began any work, he'd text me photos of the problem, and clearly explain the issues. He'd text invoices and pricing for work he proposed. His invoicing structure was transparent.

While the truck was ripped apart he recommended replacing the front brakes as they were due for a change out. It was marginal additional labour with the truck already pulled apart. This was helpful and cost effective. He showed me the old brake pads to make sure I understood why he was recommending this additonal work.

Jack worked on my truck all weekend, and late into the night to get me on the road by midday Monday morning. For this I'm incredibly grateful.
I got the impression of a busy, hardworking, and honest shop.

From my experience, the service and quality at North Shore Auto is some of the best in North Van. Prices are good and Jack will always make sure you leave happy.
