Both my young children have been going to see Dr Shadfar for 2 years now. I have only experienced very professional, yet warm and friendly visits. Both my kids are very comfortable having a check up while both recently experienced in-chair mild sedation for some dental work. My kids were very comfortable and relaxed during the process, they were well-taken care of and Dr Shadfar and Zara went out of their way to make sure that my children were comfortable and happy. They both talked to my kids through-out the procedure in a very kind and relative manner. My kids left with happy smiles. I can highly recommend this practice especially to nervous moms as every step of the procedure was explained, finances were explained and processed, while after-procedure care was also very calming. Thank you.

Dr Shadfar himself is a kind and warm person. He works great with kids. I’d recommend him highly, however, as a whole, this dental office is very unreliable. Of course they are busy and you need to book your appointment minimum 6 months ahead of time. That would be fine, if not for the fact that they have, on more than one occasion, canceled our appointments at the last minute for some unforeseen reason. When we try to reschedule, the next available appointment is not for 6 MORE months. That’s too long to wait, especially considering it was their office who cancelled the appointment. There is no effort made to try to accommodate us with an earlier date. The receptionist, as other reviewers have also mentioned, is quite cold and does not possess an ounce of sympathy, it’s always an attitude of “take it or leave it, I don’t care, not my problem” which is super irritating. We will be looking for a new dentist, to escape from these headaches in future.

As a side note, reading these reviews I note that Dr. Shadfar also comes out very defensively in the review responses, making his clients out to be the bad guys. That just strikes me as really unprofessional. As a practice, a better approach to dealing with clients would be to apologize and try to demonstrate a willingness to get to the root of the problem rather than pointing the finger at everyone else, and essentially telling people everything is their fault. Furthermore, given that these public reviews are attached to specific identifiable individuals (the parents), I am horrified to see the way Dr. Shadfar is discussing a child's medical condition and treatment, without their consent. It is reasonably possible that the child could be identified in future, in relation to their parent, and a person's medical treatment is private information. If a parent chooses to publish that information online, that's their choice to make. But as a medical professional, Dr. Shadfar should not discuss a patient's condition, behaviour, or treatment in a public setting, even if he does feel the need to provide a rebuttal to a negative review. He should put patient confidentiality above the desire to discredit a reviewer.

We used to be pretty fond of this dentistry until my son had filling and once the doctor was done he told us "if there is any problems, or if his mouth is uncomfortable come back, no appointment needed. " we came back the next day because he was having pain. We talked to the receptionist and she said that he was on his lunch break and would be with us in 30 mins. We waited for 30 mins for the doctor to come back. When he did the receptionist said that he had another patient and that my son would have to wait for 1-2 HOURS. This clearly upset me, and ruined the rest of my day.he told us to come back ASAP if anything but then makes us wait for hours.

I personally don't have all the time in the world to wait for him to finish everything and then to come do a job that takes 10 mins max but then Persian girl came in and THEY TOOK HER IN RIGHT AWAY while telling us to wait for 2 hours. Which goes to show that he cares more about his own race and they get privileges rather than every one getting the same treatment.

He went back on his word, he didn't finish his job and left my son in pain for 3 days and when we came back 3 days later it literally took him 3 mins to do it. They also demanded payment the minute we walked in rather than doing his job first. If you love your kids don't go here there are plenty other dentistries that will take better care of your kids. They have definitely lost two good costumers.

I took my son to the clinic today because he broke half of his tooth a couple of days ago and I thought he has broken his permanent tooth, after dr. Shadfar did the examination, he said he is gonna extract the tooth and my son agreed and was quite happy, I asked dr. Shadfar if he is going to freeze the tooth, all of a sudden his tone of voice changed and he kind of threw the dental tools on the table and said he is only freezing the tooth and it will be painful, also he asked me if we wanted needle instead, as soon as my son heard about needle and pain, he got so stressed out and jumped off of the chair and we had to leave without getting the job done. (The office charged me as well). My son has been doctor‘a patient since he was a few month baby and I definitely did not expect that unpleasant and unprofessional behaviour from an educated dentist. We are not going back to him and I already transferred my two kids files to our family dentist.

The dentist was so great, he taught my 2 and 4 year old how to brush his teeth on a teddy bear. He was gentle, funny and nice. They received a new tooth brush and a coin to get a toy. They have lots of toys to play with in the lobby and in the rooms. The kids are still talking about how much fun it was.

Highly recommend to all. We took our 4 year daughter and got checked. We almost got scammed by another dentist office about getting done of 10 crown done for this kid, but Dr.at this clinic after taking xray said it was only filling needed and the procedure was so smooth and excellent service for both parents and my kid. Doctor and front desk staffs are amazing.
