I could not say enough great things about my experience with this ski & board shop. Every member of the team is so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of products and spend the time to help you select the best ones for you and what you are looking for. As a customer who was building from scratch (needed ski, boots, bindings and accessories), I can confidently say there is no area of the business they overlook. They truly go above and beyond - this is the best spot to make sure you are set up for a great season on the mountain!

I couldn't recommend North Shore Ski & Board more for all your mountain needs! I was thoroughly impressed with the service Jordan, Heather & Kayla provided to me while purchasing my new snowboard. They offered individualized, friendly service, anticipating my needs and going out of their way to find me a suitable board, both in style and price. I live far away from the store, and each of these associates took the time to remember me & my requests, call me on the phone to check in, and create a smooth/seamless experience. I felt like everyone was working hard to please me as the customer, and their knowledge base on mountain equipment is second to none. I will be going back for any further supplies without hesitation! Kudos to the NSKB team. 10/10 recommend.

Amazing service at North Shore Ski and Board. Possibly the best ski store around (worldwide - big claim but true). I have travelled far and wide and always come back to NSSB.
Bought an amazing setup of Elan 106 Ripstick Black Edition 180cm with Aramada Strive 14 binding (in sand colour). Bought online and was in Vancouver from the Island. Brett and the team turned around the install of the bindings in 25min to accommodate my travel back to the Island. Amazing.

I have been there few times now they are very consistent with excellent service and knowledge of their product.

I went there looking for help to repair my telemark skis which is not easy to find today. But they ditected me to someone that could and I really appreciate that they were very nice they saved me a ton of money as I would have had to buy a hole new set of equipment that would have cost me 1500 to 2,000 dollars. I did not go in their store before this, looks like a good place to shop for outdoor equipment, I will be back for sure

So I need to double down on the recommendation for this place. I've been back three times to have my touring boots adjusted. It's been inexpensive and the service has been very insightful each time. I didn't buy my boots from them but you can sure as hell bet that I'll buy the next pair from them.

Bought a pair of downhill boots from these folks this season. The service and advice was absolutely outstanding. I'd be tempted to pick up a pair of skis next year if I don't find any amazing deals at the SAR sale.

I recently visited North Shore Ski & Board to purchase new ski gear and I had an exceptional experience! I was lucky enough to have Simon help me with my fitting and he was absolutely fantastic. His knowledge of the products and attention to detail was impressive and he worked tirelessly to ensure that I found the perfect fit. Believe me, just trust him although you may think there is absolutely no way the size he is offering the right one for you!

The entire team at North Shore Ski & Board was welcoming and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. They are experts at finding the right gear for each individual and I was impressed by their level of professionalism and expertise.

Best customer service ever! I’ve got weird legs which makes finding good ski boots impossible; I wasn’t sure I was ever going to be able to go skiing again. Simon and the North Shore Ski and Board team went above and beyond to craft an extremely unique pair of custom ski boots. Would highly recommend this place. I went into the store and the staff were so mean
I tried some clothes on and then put them on the hanger right in front of the fitting rooms
Then this blonde girl asked me in a very bad manner like I wanted to rob them “where did you put the stuff”
She then asked me several times to leave and asked me are you waiting for something
I have never been treated like this in any other stores

I had an incredible experience here. The whole crew got me fitted and set up for a full ski set up the day before Christmas and had me out the door ready for the mountain with a smile. They were very professional and friendly and knowledgeable.

An amazing experience! Late season, we hoped to get used kids ski boots. The service and knowledge of equipment was beyond what I've ever seen. We got what we needed, with adjustments an no extra cost, advice on future equipment etc. We left with smiles at the friendliness of the staff and the ease of the purchase. Thanks!

We've been here multiple times, choosing to visit initially because of the positive reviews. Every time we've gone here since then, whether to get advice, new ski equipment, or used stuff for the kids, we've always had a positive experience. Given that good track record we haven't really thought to head anywhere else for like services.

This was my second year going to Northshore Ski and Board. I bought my ski boots from there last year; they helped me with all questions and concerns I had. My skiing season turned out awesome. Yesterday was the second time getting my son's boots from there as well, what an experience. They are so knowledgeable and friendly. The customer service experience we received from Max was above and beyond. He helped us and our family friends and delayed an appointment he had, to make sure we had everything we needed. Took a bunch of skis in to get waxed, serviced and a few dinged patched.

My rock skis have literally never looked better, and the wax lasted longer than I've ever had, initial prices are costlier than some others but the quality of the work and the service makes it worth it in the long run.

Vince and Brett are superstars! These guys have taken great care of our ski and wakeboard gear for years now. They truly care and it shows. Highly recommend!

Had problems for years finding a boots that didn’t make my feet hurt. Went to see Max and he got me into exactly the right snowboarding boot and touring boot. He’s a real lifesaver. Don’t waste your time going anywhere else

I needed a new pair of ski and boots and decided to visit this store. I was greeted by Rick and he spent over an hour trying to find the right boots for me. The store manager (I think his name was Brett) gave me some honest opinions on skis and helped me pick one best suited for my skiing ability. The service was very personalized from beginning to finish and I really appreciate the attention to detail. I felt comfortable walking out with the purchase and didn’t feel like being ripped off. Top notch customer service! Me and my sister we’re beginner snowboarder and we’re looking for new boots and binding with minimal knowledge. Alex spent his time explaining to us what we should be looking for and recommended the right products that we should use. Other staffs are super nice too. Had an unbelievable experience buying a new set of skis, boots, and bindings for the first time in 10+ years.

I've had very mediocre experiences at other ski shops across Vancouver but decided to make the trip to North Van after a few friends recommending North Shore Ski & Board - I'm very glad I did.

Ben helped me get fitted into everything and was a wealth of knowledge throughout. He had answers to everyone of my questions, took his time explaining each product and feature, and at no point was ever pushy or annoyed. I cannot thank Ben enough for his help and guidance in getting kitted for this ski season and the next several.

If you're considering buying new gear, go to North Shore Ski & Board and ask for Ben or honestly anyone. While getting fitted I was amazed at how professional the entire staff was with their clients. Highly recommend - 10/10

Michael is the best! I brought a very old board in that required a new toe binding. The board was so old, we were sure if we were going to find a proper binding fit. Michael used super creative skills to manipulate a new toe binding to fit my old board perfectly (all while providing exceptional customer service). Couldn't not recommend North Shore Ski and Board enough.

I never write reviews and I mean never, but I felt Max deserved one. Such a nice guy and super knowledgeable. 100% trust this guy to give you the right advice and fit you for the right gear. Above and beyond top notch service. Don't make the mistake of going to other shops like I have in the past and give these guys your business.

I have the worst feet for ski boots! I have tried a few places, a few boots with no success. I bought some boots from Max at the end of last season who took all the time in the world for me to get into a good set of boots. After a couple of times at the mountain this season I took the boots back in as my saddle bone was causing me major pain. Ben re-worked a custom punch on the top of my boots. Ben also was SUPER helpful, super expereinced and they finally felt awesome. I was ready to switch to boarding becuase of the pain I was getting but problem solved. If you have any problems with skit boots go see Ben or Max, awesome service!

I bought a pair of new snowboard boots but after a day of riding I had some pain on my heel. I went back to see if anything could be done and Michael was amazing. He was stumped at first but didn’t give up. He was adamant on helping me and he did. Thank you!

Had an amazing experience getting my first real pair of ski boots fitted. Max really made the experience great and was able to get something that worked well for my problematic feet. Super knowledgeable and funny guy. Wasn't pushy at all and could tell he really wanted me to get the right fit for my needs rather than making a sale. Probably one of the best experiences at a store ever, highly recommend visiting. He really went above and beyond, super happy with my new boots.

Had an amazing boot fitting done here by Sean and then picked the brains of 3 different salespeople for about a month to narrow down which skies to buy. What's interesting is that all 3 salespeople recommended the same ski independently which tells me no matter what day you come in you they will get it right the first time (rare in Sporting retail). The boots are magnificent and my appreciation for the choice of skis grows exponentially as I ride them in different conditions. They are almost always busy but for all the right reasons.

Michael and Max were a tremendous help. This place is next level with customer service, great energy and just an overall willingness to help that is sadly not common enough. Thank you North Shore Ski & Board for repairing our board on the spot, the pleasant phone call with Max’s pleasant demeanour, and Michael’s quick to help attitude. Come here for all your ski and boarding needs! Seriously don’t bother going anywhere else to buy or repair your gear or even for your winter sport advice-they’ll hook you up and you won’t regret going to north shore ski any board

I were looking look pivot binding 15 size 115, and called them. The person answered me and said they do have the binding with size 115. So I come over to them, but I been informed they only have pair of used brake with size 115 (indeed, the brake wasn’t 115 and it is way bigger than that, you could see it from picture) I wasn’t so sure about the size but trusted their word. (it only been used few times.) I been drive up to them from Richmond, and today, when I picked it up to my home, I found they are not even put all screws to my ski! I’m a ski instructor, I know how dangerous and how it could damage your skis without all screws on your ski.

My ski has been fixed with them. Thanks

Great customer service, variety of brands, and availability of sizes. The price of the helmet I bought was by far better than the ones I found at Amazon or Sportchek

Michael is the man! He helped find me the best ski boots for my feet and perfectly fitted them after multiple attempts. He has also reignited my excitement for the ski season now that I know I’ll be skiing in the right boots.

Visited most ski and board shops in Vancouver today and I can say with confidence you will get the best service and prices here. Once you step into the shop you are looked after by a staff member in our case today it was Michael he was very informative and passionate about finding me my perfect board, boots and binding combo. Very professional and patient with an abundance of knowledge to get you kitted out with the best snowboarding gear. Will definitely be recommending here to friends and will return!

Adam was exceptional when helping me get my new boots. I came in wanting a specific pair based on way too much research, he agreed with my choice and they fit great out of the box. He then insisted on me trying on multiple other boots in the same category to ensure these were the best fit for me. I ended up getting the pair that I originally came in for, but it was great to know Adam was looking to make sure that I had the best fitting boot for me. Super knowledgeable, patient and friendly, he even tolerated my dog. We will be back to get skis later this week for my partner. Thanks again for the outstanding service!

If you want to feel like a second class citizen, shop here! Wanted to have a look at snowboards and didn’t know exactly what I wanted. I was told that they’re busy and aren’t on a browsing plan right now and more on a know what you want (and get out) plan. Guess I take my money somewhere else. Super glad I stood in line for that awesome shopping experience. Going to loose a lot of business talking to customers like that, but they must not care. Even during Covid you can do better than that, so much for trying to support local.

I have purchase few things from here in the past few years.
I came here with my daughter to get her a new ski helmet.
The help was great regarding fitting ski helmet for my daughter. However I didn't feel quite right when first question the staff asked was a budget. I said 100-300, and the staff grabs 350 dollar helmet for my daughter to try. We end up trying few more helmets with in upper 200 and mid 300. We end up getting one grade lower Smith helmet for 300 dollars. The issue I have with the staff is that, despite my daughter tried these two helmets more than 3 times each to make sure there isn't any difference in fitting and look, she kept on asking my daughter if the 350 helmet isn't better than 300 helmet. After my daughter made a final decision to purchase Smith Vantage, the staff tells us that they don't have the size. Eventually the staff found the size and we purchase the helmet. I have mix feeling about purchase today.
As far as the selection and the price. I am not sure if they have any better selection than other local ski/snowboard shops in the North Shore.
The price is definitely not cheaper than other stores. I found a exact same helmet for 60 dollars cheaper at C@@ store 10 min drive away. Too bad my daughter has to use the helmet tomorrow so I won't be returning it.

Price are high but you get expert advice, great selection and fantastic service. Worth a visit for the snow fanatics

I honestly wish I could rate this higher. The knowledge and service I've received on my last 3 trips have been incredibly helpful and so welcoming. Shaun, Owen and James have such a wealth of experience and are really dedicated to getting the best boot fit. An absolute credit to your company and deserve a Christmas bonus for sure Thanks again for the helping my feet be happy in my boots!

I don't know about anyone else, but there is a dude named Sean who works in the hard goods section who is an absolute gem. I'm new to skiing and don't know much about gear, but my feet were getting torn up by cheap boots whenever I went touring. Sean helped fit me into some boots that at first didn't fit too well, but he suggested I try them out and come back to do the shell punching so that I knew exactly what I wanted. After coming back a couple of times and talking about my experience wearing them, he made them fit super well and taught me a lot about skiing and boots along the way. The commitment to continued service after I had bought the boots, as well as how pleasant the conversation was along the way makes this an easy 5 star. If you can, ask for Sean.

I can only say good things about this store and their staff. I went in today and got fixed with a new board and bindings. I had two gentleman help me at the start, then one took over and handled the rest. The staff truly wanted me to have the proper set up and didn’t just try to push the most expensive things like I had experienced earlier in the day at a previous store.

They are super thorough with their boot fitting and sizing process to make sure you get the boot that’s right for you. They’ll ask how/what you ski, experience, goals, and size up your foot to match the right boot, among other top level services.

Great selection of equipment on the North Shore.

Lots of choice for both adults and kids, all quality gear/brands. I find the pricing here average/on the high side.but deals can be found. The people/service they offer is also top notch in my experience.

They will accept outgrown kids skis/boots that you bought and will apply a portion of the original value as credit. Handy so you don’t have old gear cluttering your garage!

I went in to get a pair of existing boots refit. Adam helped me out - he listened carefully to the fit issues and came up with a brilliant solution that worked perfectly! Thank you!

Love supporting local shops and have shopped here for years. Bought a few Christmas presents yesterday afternoon. Was greeted and helped right away. However, three stars because the older woman working cash was super intense and off putting to myself and another customer in the shop. I understand holiday in retail can be stressful however you'd hope for a better vibe and customer service with a local shop.
