I've lived on the north shore for 2 years now and I refuse to use this taxi service. 9/10 times I get into a cab I know I'm going to be greeted with poor customer service and very rude driver that give you a hard time when you try and pay cash instead of cards.
The dispatchers are just as rude as the drivers are, like they wonder why people use taxis as a last resort now a days.
Cab driver could not find me though he called four times. I told him very specifically where I was and still could not find me. I missed my Church service because of this. This is Northshore taxi. Should their drivers not know the Northshore? Totally not impressed. If I could give lower than a one star review I would
A PRIUS IS NOT AN SUV and won't fit 4 people and three golf bags! Don't make is later for our flight! Their website booking isn't app responsive so I couldn't even type in a destination or see what I was doing. Poor tech integration. Back to UBER but I tried.
I don’t understand this review score. I use North Shore Taxi a few times a month and they are great! They get to my location within a few minutes, the cars are clean and tidy, the drivers a always friendly, and the prices are reasonable.
When ever possible do not use their wheel chair friendly service. It is not reliable at all, my kid who's on a wheel chair had to wait for almost an hr for the cab which I had booked for him in the morning, last when I called and asked where the cab was a lady answered and all she kept on saying was yah yah yah it will be there in 10 mins, which was 42 mins ago. Just yah yah, I think they are trained to just say yah yah yah. Finally I called again and the guy this time was honest and he said sorry the cab just got free. What a shame NORTH SHORE TAXI.
I've been using these guys for just over 2 years whenever I need to get to the airport; which is roughly 3x a year. Always helpful and quick on the phone, always turn up on time to pick me up, always friendly and no issues on the journey.
No good. Drivers are crazy dont think half of them havr a bc L there rude and Racist too black Native i have had one of there drivers steel my stuff you backs with labtop woth pic of my lil girl and other family and allso with pic late ex that passed away last year. Camra my wifes bag with monry ids with wellet n a bunch of other thing. We stoped at a store comeing back form airport me and my wife rain into store and he cab driver took off and still have nothung been done about it call cops and was took the cab number 403 wasnt out thatnight
This morning very early I left for the airport and I had the nicest kindest driver. He helped me with the bags, got a cart and put them on. Thankyou Muhamad, it was a great pleasure to meet you.
Drivers want you to pay cash and get extremely annoyed and unhappy when you don't, because they get charged a percentage for card payments.
They also expect you to be waiting for them, but when they make you wait, it should be nothing. Had multiple experiences where drivers go around circles or the opposite direction before they choose to leisurely end up where you are.
Just had a driver that I booked through their app take another customer AFTER they accepted my trip just because they flagged them down. When I contacted dispatch after watching the driver go an entirely different direction and eventually concluding my trip, the dispatch just said "ah, yes. He did call about that. It was because he was flagged down for another trip. Sending you another car. " Lol okay, you are the kings then? This is why I do not support taxi being the only car service. Who do you think you are?
Called about a reckless driver and after 4 days waiting for a manager to get back to me, I called again. I wasn’t even finished explaining the situation and he hung up on me. Unprofessional and rude
I am connected to a MOHIT manager, a liar and a dishonest man who covers up the actions of a fellow driver who extorted 300 dollars from my elderly disabled parents and me. He has had to reimburse us for 2 months and a half and keeps lying to us by telling us that the check is gone, that finally he will bring it to us and never comes to the appointment. I have all the written evidence. Your company abuses elderly and disabled people and continues to be dishonest.
No cabs available in west van most of the time! Left waiting for 1 1/2 hours this week. Standing with 90 year old at market and a customer offered us a ride while Market was closing. Cabs sometimes don't show up! Unbelievable!
Aryan Aria was our driver, N97 license SJ7730, from Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal. He was driving with a dirty windshield that I could barely see out of and constantly swerved between two lanes nearly hitting other vehicles (both moving and parked). We (my mother-in-law and I) repeatedly asked him to drive within his lane and do the speed limit, and it wasn’t until my male partner asked him to do the speed limit, take his time, obey the road laws, stay in the lane so we arrive safely that he acknowledged that we were in the car. He still continued to swerve between lanes, failed to signal lane changes, and stopped in the middle of turning in neighbourhoods. Get this man off of the road.
You have to be kidding me!? ! Called there number to call a cab and a message just loops in circles without any option to leave a message or anything else.
Unreliable dispatchers. I understand if there were no taxis available, but you have to let us know right away. Been waiting for 30 mins until I decided to go a different route. Called back to the dispatcher to cancel, very unapologetic.
Awesome service. A friend needed a ride home from Lions Bay and North Shore Taxi had a car to assist within 20 minutes. 2 thumbs up for remote village support.
️️️Sunday August 28/2022…6: 05 AM approximately…very busy morning…it was going to be a 20-30 minute wait…a driver (N432) arrived at my residence to pick up an earlier group…he recognized me (***I have been a customer for 10+Years***) and promised a return asap to pick me up! …. AND he did! …under 20 minutes! …I was so thankful…. Needed to get to work early! Thank You North Shore Taxi (From a very thankful customer 10+ years)
Called them to get a cab for Lions Gate hospital on Tuesday, Sep 20th at 7: 30 AM and i was late. Terry the dispatcher was so rude, impatient and loud. He gave me a hard time over the address when he could easily send the driver to the pick up point i gave him. I wish i never have to deal with you guys ever again.
These “boys” that worked here were absolutely terrible to me and my friends. We were trying to get a ride home from Hastings to Lonsdale and the boys that were working said very cruise things about me and my family. Work on your customer service
The worst customer service on earth. I reserved my taxi online one night earlier and got a confirmation. At the time I booked and even 10 min later, no one showed up; no one texted me; no one emailed me; no one called me. I then phoned it's customer service. The person told me they were busy and no taxi available at that time. I said they should have let me know earlier so I can make another arrangement. He told me that's NOT how it works. Instead, I should call them to ask. I disagreed. (Their confirmation email and their app didn't even mention that.) He said I was wasting his time then even "told my name" and and hung up my phone. OMG. It's happening in Canada now. Don't use this poorest service. That's why we do need other options. It was just happening at 5: 40 am on Sep 11,2022. Uber saved my day.
Insanely dangerous taxi driver playing games on the road. N309 was mad that I honked at him after he almost hit me on a turn. He then proceeds to drive on the yellow line between both lanes and swerve like a nutcase back-and-forth between both lanes like a lunatic. I honestly believe he is impaired or high so I contacted the RCMP and the North Shore taxi who told me their manager is out of this country and they have no other manager available. This man is a danger to everyone on the road and should not be driving a taxi. I will never take a north shore taxi again as this is not the first time I've seen this type of insane behavior with there drivers.
My only concern was that our driver told us there was a $75 flat rate from the ferry terminal to airport, but when we got in and got in the highway he then said it wasn't a flat rate but a tough guess for if there was no traffic. Needless to say it was not a traffic free drive and we paid almost $100.
Mostly the drivers at horseshoebay are quite rude. They get mad if you're going far, they get mad if you're going close, it's so uncomfortable riding like that
Ordered a cab to YVR for 6: 30 am. No one showing up nor answering the phone. At 6: 50 am a driver calls and says he tries to be there around 7ish. I wouldn't recommend them for anything that involves professionalism. Im not surprised about the poor ratings here
A Terrifying experience. I tried to pay for the cab over the phone for my employee. The driver threatened to not let a young lady out of the car until i paid he frightened her and was so mad due to payment. Management does not care, when I phoned in.
Once the driver picked me up in North Van ti go to seabus he became extremely aggressive, rude and upset that I wasn’t going to the airport! Then drops one of my bags on the ground and when I went to pay, he told be very angrily that he didn’t want my money, yelled a few nasty words and left. I have never seem anything like this! I have never seen a cab driver do this! I was shocked! How does this cab company stay in business?
One of the drivers was honking at me to go faster in deep cove in a 10 km zone. He then cut me off at a stop sign and blew the sign, only to jam his brakes further down the road and block the whole road to pick up his fare. Totally disrespectful and a terror on the roads. The photo added is this dumb driver blowing the stop sign on the wrong side of the road in deep cove.
I was not being able to find a cab after waiting for over 10 mins on the app so I called the customer service to get an update. The customer service agent got upset with me and started getting mad about how its unfair to call since this is why they get backed up and hung up the phone.
Very thoughtful service - double checked our estimated arrival of arrival at airport when I called, and suggested an earlier start due to current conditions. Arrived early and got us there safely!
I booked a cab on their website online, got a confirmation email and a price estimate. I waited for 15 minutes and no one showed up. Gave them a call and spoke to an extremely rude and unpleasant man.
I was told I never made a reservation, and I must be mistaken since they only have an app, not a website ️
The representative tried to gaslight me into thinking I never booked anything, and that they don't even have a website while the email and site is pulled up in front of me. He said they have no drivers for the next 40 minutes, and suggested I book an Uber instead. Really?
When I questioned his customer service he pretended the call was cutting out and hung up on me.
I am never, EVER, using North Shore taxi again. Spare yourself the headache and book an Uber, even they know they're outclassed.

Not the best reliable service. During the summer we called for a taxi down at Cates Park. Then our first taxi said it's too far and the next one took about an hour to show up.
I called to book a cab. They told me 10-15 mins. Then I found a cab on the street after 2 mins. I called twice and was waiting on the line. No response. After 20 mins I got a text that the cab is on the was. I responded that I need to cancel and I tried to reach them. There was an automatic call, I explained to the driver (has it) He didn’t say anything and hang up on me. Definitely I’m not gonna call them again.
Northshore taxi is a garbage. I booked a taxi for airport and I got confirmation email for reservation but they didn't show up. When I called them staff rudely told me that they are very busy and they can't see my reservation. They are so rude and irresponsible and when they couldn't give me a proper answer just hung up on me.
Called 3 times and waited 45min driver was late and rude, he dont had map, he was just driving around finally I stop him asked him where u going that not the address I gave you but he was really rude I came out from taxi I called company , Very rude staff.it's horrible how they react.i would never suggest them.its a trash.please don't go for it.please please and please dont book taxi from them, we all nead show them our act beacase we here make our world better not scammers
Called for a quick ride on the north shore, and was laughed at and hung up on by the dispatcher. Took a few tries to get through to argue my case late at night that I did in fact want a ride home. I would recommend this service if you’re being held at gunpoint with the demand that you need to talk to a cab dispatcher. Otherwise, stay clear and try any other service or pay the premium for an uber.
Poor communication with dispatch led that did not listen to pick up instructions that were clearly given. Driver seemed upset and sounded like I was wasting his time. Take an Uber for better service and reliability!
Dispatcher was very arrogant while taking my information. The cab driver, however, was on time and courteous. That said, it was pretty clear that the driver was driving while distracted (i.e, repeatedly and for prolonged periods of the drive looking at [likely] a cell phone in his lap). So that was a bit disconcerting. Unfortunately, there are very few options for taxis on the North Shore, so there are not many (better) alternatives from my reading of online reviews of the North Shore competition. On my return taxi ride home, however, my experience with MacLure's cabs in Vancouver was absolutely fabulous in comparison (complete night and day comparison with North Shore Taxi!).
I got stuck in the cold rain on a bike ride in west vancouver, the dispatcher promptly sent me a driver and he helped my load my bike into his vehicle even though it was dirty. Ensured vehicle was warm and I was safe.
Called today after not taking a taxi with them since pre covid. I was accused of owing a taxi 32 dollars from a time they couldn't specify. I told them I'm not sure how I owe that amount or why I was never contacted. They then accused me of running, which was incredibly insulting. I told them that's very untrue and I wouldn't do that. They refused to believe otherwise, but then admitted anyone could have used my info, but I would still need to pay the fee. I asked the manager for the date, time, and any info surrounding the situation so we could figure out what happened and he refused and hung up the phone. Both the dispatcher and manager were unprofessional and rude. I'm not sure how either of them have their jobs and I would never recommend this taxi company. I have also had taxi drivers say uncomfortable things to me and my friends prior, so if you want a safe and timely trip, steer clear from north shore taxi.
The dispatcher was pretty rude. I called a taxi for a couple gentlemen and when i was telling him the address he started getting impatient with me and got pretty snarly.not to sure what his deal was.would have hung up if it was for myself.not sure how the drivers are but this rating is strictly on the dispatcher.
Oct 6th I called for a cab and SPECIFICALLY told dispatch to ask that the driver to come to the basement parking. So I'm waiting with this senior lady when a cab shows up and tells me "you made me wait too long, now I cant take you. Call the office for another taxi" She wasnt polite. Then there's a rather rude message on my phone from the same lady cab driver. If you want to follow up with her, I can provide a phone number.
The guy on the phone he didnt hear me saying the address and told me ‘im trying to teach you how to call the cab’ what the hell? As he picked up the phone somehow he was already quite up set. Myabe he was having bad day? But that’s not my business Aug. 28.2020 around 2pm
EXTREMELY rude customer service. This indian woman on the phone is super disrespectful. She didn't let me complete a single sentence without interrupting or dismissing me and then eventually hung up on me when I was mid sentence. I was nothing but nice to her even though I felt super disrespected. FIX YOUR DAMN CUSTOMER SERVICE. I will only use Uber from now on and I really hope North shore taxi runs out of business soon.
Took a taxi for the first time in a long time early this morning. I usually do Uber. But there were no cars available that early. The taxi smelled like the driver had been smoking pack of cigarettes with the windows up. It was so dirty in there. And the driver took me the long route. It reminded me why I do not take taxis anymore
Booked them on a Tuesday for Wednesday morning pick up using the website - it sent me a confirmation number. They showed up on time - no problems. Tried the same thing on Thursday morning for a Thursday evening pick up - again it sent me a confirmation number - and the cab was a no-show. Called dispatch, explained that I used the website and he laughed and said that the website "never knows what it's doing - best I can tell you is that you're next in line. " He hung up before I could confirm my number etc. I waited 20 minutes and still a no show. I then cancelled using the website - not sure if they ever got that message. I then booked an Uber. They were there in 15 minutes and everything about their service was excellent. I have since talked to a couple of people about North Shore Taxi, and they have said that their service is terrible lately. I would't use them again, but I will be using Uber in the future. You can't provide substandard service like this and expect to stay in business. I have a feeling North Shore Taxi's days are numbered.
Gave the dispatcher my address around 4 p.m. April 30th and she was completely rude with how she handled that call and put me on hold again after I'd already waited on hold.
