The place to go to learn how to cook and improve your skills, forget the rest, just book here. Chef Tarek, is an incredible instructor, warm, humble, funny, knowledgeable, passionate and experienced. We also cooked with chefs Eric and Alana who are wonderful, and imparted knowledge and passion effortlessly and patiently over the two week plant based cooking programme, which is just one of a plethora of programmes they offer. Can’t say enough good things about these folks and their wonderful school. Enthusiast or pro you’re in safe hands and receive every dollar of value spent.

Had a fantastic workshop on pork butchery. Eric and Curtis were very knowledgeable and fun, the class was very informative, the participants awesome, and I got to take home a great assortment of cuts. 12/10, would do this again.

Such a great experience! Chefs were amazing, the kitchen and set up for learning was excellent, course was well organized and the dishes we made let us incorporate the skills we learned throughout. I will definitely take more courses here! Thank you!:)

Great school to learn everything about the Culinary world! The fundamentals 1 class is very informative, with great instructors who are passionate about what they do. The pace of each class is great and the recipes we followed are so delicious! Will definitely be taking more classes from this academy. Thank you all!

We did the Sushi class with Chef Tarek, it was a lot of fun and we all felt it was great value for money. They even gave us all goodie bags at the end with Poke Bowl ingredients. Will definitely come back in future!

I’m halfway through the 2-week plant based bootcamp and I’ve already learned so much. Chef Tarek is awesome; so knowledgeable, friendly, and encouraging. He always makes time to answer questions, and the recipes have been amazing. I was so impressed that we didn’t even touch tofu until day 3. The range of tastes and styles that we get to cover is incredible. You learn fundamental skills that help you go beyond recipes into understanding how to develop flavour based on key principles, allowing for you to develop your creativity. Very impressed with the whole experience!

Highly recommend this place. My partner and I started with the lasagna class, then the risotto class and we just signed up for the bread making series.

Couldn’t recommend this place more!

The first fundamentals class is fantastic. All the chefs were great, and my favorites were Tony and Jonathan. Highly recommend this course if you want to learn how to cook, or to take your skills to the next level.

If stuck in a cooking rut and don't have the methodology to get yourself out, I highly recommend fundamentals 101. My brain felt like I had taken a cooking vacation somewhere special. I left each session feeling fresh, invigorated and with an arsenal of cooking knowledge and experiences, excited to see what is next, just like any good trip can do. I developed skills, confidence and a greater perspective, while being thoroughly entertained by the chef teachers. I enjoyed the experience very much and will definitely take the next level and recommend the program wholeheartedly, thank you NWCA, Heidi Sidhu

We went to the one night wonder event for pad Thai. It was so much fun and great tips you’d never figure out on your own. Five stars for sure and I’ll be back!

The course exceeded my expectations. The teachers were
professional, well informed and had a down to earth way
of explaining the lesson. I would recommend this course
to all levels of cooks.
The proof is in the pudding.as soon as I arrived home, (I flew in
from Ontario), I went to my garage and fished out my very large
cutting board. It now has a place on my counter.
Also, for the first time ever, I am using my pastry scraper.
Thank you for a memorable course.

Just finished a one night lasagna class here, and it was just great. The instructors are knowledgeable, friendly and funny. The facility has I think 8 big gas ranges, with lots of other stuff, and there's a two table dining/lecture area with big screens to see the tutorials. Loved it. Thanks Tony and Jonathan!

Had a great experience with Fundamentals 1. The instructors were friendly and knowledgeable, not teaching you to just read a recipe, but to understand it, and the facility was clean and well prepped. Nice wine pairings too!
