Novare

Lupe from Novare office is an amazing person and she does everything in her hands to help renters. Great property to rent and very convenient to skytrain and Vancouver commuters.

Now I understand why some of the reviews say they are rude. I called to apply for one of their apartments, and the manager was friendly and helpful at the beginning. The communication was great until a few hours after I submitted my application, they sent me a one line email saying “Sorry, we will not be proceeding with your application for Novare” and they immediately blocked my number. I have a decent full time job and a perfect credit history. I have done nothing to deserve this hostility. From the other reviews I can see that they know how to make their customers happy, but they chose to treat me differently. This is taking a mental toll on me so I am not staying quiet.

Thanks for the reply. My email was ignored and my call went straight to voice mail, but at least you reply to reviews. If my application didn’t get approved, please notify in a clear and professional way. Rejected applicants deserve some respect too.

Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, but especially anyone under the age of 30/35. Management was not rude, but meaN to me throughout my entire stay, did not treat me with any sort of respect (They were very ageist) and made me feel so unwelcome that I eventually moved. That along with the insane construction noise and very high rent. Had issues with staff entering my apartment without proper notice, almost walking in on me in the nude - and was never given any apology or reassurance and felt very uncomfortable living there alone. Brenda and her staff are rude and condescending if you have to bring up any issue at all, have quite literally had them laugh in my face. Buzzer was broken more than half the time, I even had my visitors vehicles damaged/vandalized in the visitor parking garage by the staff, Not joking. Stay away.

I did visit lots of apartments but honestly Novare is the best one! All staff do their best. Feels like a family here. Thank you.

I have lived at Novare since 2018, and the experience I have always had with the staff has been fantastic, specially with Gina and Romel, those guys have always treated us like family. You can really tell this building stays in excellent shape because of the attention to detail and effort these guys dedicate to make sure all tenants feel comfortably at any corner.

This building is my home and I love to see the staff taking as much care as I would to this place.

If possible i would give them 6 stars!

Lived at Novare for a year as a gap year before buying my own place and what an incredible little gem it is. Would highly recommend a unit facing towards Fraser River as the views are just breathtaking, able to see all the bridges and a majority of downtown New West! Units are well sized for modern building standards and everything is very clean and well thought-out and organized!

The one thing that blew me away the most about this place is the staff. They are simply the best! Incredibly friendly and easy going and always have a smile on their face and are willing to help out with any problem or concern you might have. Truly feels like a little family here.

If your looking for a unit with breathtaking views, walking distance to everything and anything and probably one of the best managed buildings in the lower mainland then look no further than Novare:)

It's actually a lovely building to live in. I spent two years there and the only issue I found to be bothersome were tech problems with the buzzer and the garage door. Those have been fixed for now and the building and units themselves are very nice. The management and maintenance staff is I'd say what makes the building worth living in. They are a very supportive, friendly, and understanding bunch.

Called to check if I could make an appointment for same-day viewing, since we happened to be in the area. The answer was "no, good-bye". There was no offer of another date, any questions as to what we are looking for, or any effort to accommodate a potential renter. Just, good-bye. Alrighty, then. Suit yourself.

I viewed an apartment at Novare and subsequently applied for residency. A few days afterward, I asked for an update on my application.

I received an approval for an apartment that was more than what was quoted to me initially with a move-in date a month later than what was suggested previously.

I inquired further to the discrepancies and was notified that the previous apartment I viewed had been rented to another applicant and that I was being offered another. I was also told that I could view this other apartment that day if needed.

Knowing that I wouldn’t be able to leave work and view something within such short notice, I asked to see a layout/floor plan of the apartment so that I know I would have confirmation that I was renting an apartment that was at least similar to what I asked. Afterward, I would make arrangements on a different day to come in and sign. They agreed to send a floor plan over soon but I never received one.

A day later, I had still received no response. More than 48 hours later, I received another email notifying me that they had given away the apartment that they had already approved me for.

I felt like this was unprofessional and disrespectful. I had every intention of taking it but was never given the opportunity to confirm that it was the same apartment that I had asked for. I felt like I was being strong armed into taking any apartment that they gave me without the due diligence of allowing me to verify it.

My partner has been living here for under a year. The apartments are very modern and really well priced considering the location and that they're brand new.

I see a few complaints about management, though through my personal experience as well as my partners experience, communication has always been seamless between us and management. The staff are very friendly and always eager to help, they go above and beyond to ensure all tenants are happy. They host social events to get to know management and your neighbors, they're always readily available in case of emergencies and quite frankly have helped me several times when I was in a bind.

I would definitely suggest Novare to anyone hoping to find a home in New Westminster.

I have been living here for the past 3 months. I was interested in renting in this building because it is a brand new and has built-in washers/dryers, which is very important for me. Also, the building is 3 min walk to Columbia SkyTrain station. My experience started with Lori, very friendly leasing agent, who showed me couple of units. Then, I came back to see other units to make sure which type to choose, Stefano showed and re-showed me different types of condos, he was very patient and professional, he helped me in taking the decision by answering all my questions and helping me in doing measurements. As the condo I wanted to apply for was taken, I had to go back, there were two in the same category and Zsuzsa was so nice and gave me the good advice to pick one. Although the amount of documents requested to rent the apartment is significant but we made an agreement. The management was great and efficient. When we entered the apartment, the fridge wasn’t working, they changed it right away. Recently, we had the first barbecue and it was lovely on the terrace of our building. The area is too nice with plenty of activities.

We found the management to be rude and condescending. She didn't want to rent our family a one bedroom because we have an infant daughter. She insisted that Novare's policy is to take a two bedroom starting at $1,900/month for a family of three. We thought it was ridiculous! What does Novare do when families who rent there and have signed a lease have kids? Does Novare kick them out for starting a family or charge them higher rent by moving them to bigger apartment? Novare needs compassion and empathy for families rather than arrogance!
