Nuba in Kitsilano

We (Alumni Painters Ltd.) came in on Nov. 30th for our annual Christmas Party dinner for our group of 20. We had a great experience! They had 2 and 3 servers helping us, which was just right to stay on top of everything, the food was delicious, and the ambience was relaxing and fun. We highly recommend Nuba!

Our recent dining experience at Nuba–Kitsilano, a Lebanese gem, was delightful. From the moment we stepped in, the restaurant's warm and inviting ambiance was an ideal setting for a gathering with friends or a romantic evening.

One of our companions usually shies away from Middle Eastern spices, but the spices used were present enough to deliver an authentic Lebanese experience, yet not overpowering, ensuring that everyone at the table could savour the dishes comfortably.

The total bill was $326.80 for six people, which I felt was reasonable.

I highly recommend this restaurant.

This was my 1st time trying Lebanese food, and the food was delicious. The staff is friendly, and there is a romantic vibe in the restaurant, but it is still casual. I can't wait to eat here again. I highly recommend the cauliflower and hummus.

A spacious and very cozy place, a very pleasant atmosphere and very good service, with vegan food and also chicken, lamb, shrimp and beef and desserts.to drink beer, wine and cocktail.

We ordered cauliflower and chicken, and they brought it to bake for 10 minutes, it was great that we didn’t have to wait long! More thanks to the Bartender, she is very beautiful and has a wonderful smile!

I hosted a small private work function in The Den at Nuba Kitsilano and it was a wonderful experience! The food and service were incredible, and my guests were blown away. Erica, the events coordinator was extremely helpful and responsive leading up to the event, and the rest of the team taking care of us that evening was amazing. It was a memorable first experience, and I will be back.

Please note that the room is not closed off to the rest of the venue, so voices from the restaurant below may travel up. But other than that, it was a 10/10 experience and I highly recommend booking any future events here.

Really brings to mind the phrase ‘party in the mouth’. Had all the nourishment and freshness of health food while packing all the savour of comfort food. Absolutely love the fragrant, nuanced flavours. Baclava cheesecake was out of this world…!

It has good options for vegetarians. Quality of food is good. Server was in hurry to place order and give us check/bill. Server keeps coming back and keep asking. “Are you ready for order”. It was like it needs faster turnaround. The order thing is there is no bright light in the restaurant- it is almost dark. I could barely ready the menu. Servers needs training and more lamps could be nice as well.

Yummy, yummy. Always del opus dinner when we visit. The cauliflower is to die for as is the platter. The service is always on par. Very nice ambience

Shared a bunch of different items, including falafel (came with amazing hummus), crispy cauliflower, halloumi and salad. Rose sangria was really good, pretty sweet, had grapefruit and raspberries. Nice indoor and patio seating. Great place to go and catch up with friends for a healthy, flavourful meal or snack

Absolutely incredible. This should be rated 5/5. Food was perfect. We had hummus, yam salad, falafel, dumplings, and lamb kebab. Falafel and dumplings are a must. And finished off with baklava cheesecake.do that also.

Hosted a party here and the team was just incredible; service was so helpful and the food was amazing! I cannot say enough good things about Nuba!

My wife and I loved Nuba: best Mediterranean meal we've ever had. Lamb kebabs were amazing, cauliflower florets were seasoned perfectly, and the falafel was the best I've ever tasted. GO!

Great food and service, very expensive however for dinner for what you receive. Example, lamb kebab for lunch is about 2x larger than lamb kebab dinner which is 2x the price of lunch. All a bit upside down.

Delicious food! The first time i've been to this location, loved their gastown location. Service was amazing and the food was halal and delicious! Would 100% reccomend for a delicious lunch.

The food and atmosphere were excellent. To make the meal even better, instead of regular pita bread, it would be good to have some homemade pita (if this exists in Lebanese cuisine). But the food is somewhat pricy. The restaurant automatically added a 20% service fee because we were a group of 10.

After six years, it saddens me to say that this was probably our last time visiting one of our favourite restaurants. Their portion sizes have gradually gotten smaller and smaller to the point that you leave hungry, while the cost has risen. I understand this is happening everywhere but Nuba has taken it to another level.

Food made for white people! No spice, no flavors, just bland! I should have known better not to eat at a place where the people of the region weren't cooking in the kitcken.

I like to come back here every time I’m in town. Really good selection for vegetarians. Although, a bit pricey

I was disappointed because we have enjoyed eating lunch there in the past. As a large group we spent way too much on dinner and all came away hungry and dissatisfied. I ate again when I got home. The meals don't have sides for some reason. Everything is very expensive and the portions are very small.

We partnered with NUBA on several community and special events. Amazing food! Amazing team! 20 years of consistency and creativity. Great Job: Victor, Ernesto, and team.

I hosted a surprise party here last night and everything was fabulous! We had our own, private space which was beautiful and the food was incredible. We had many different dietary requirements and there was something for everyone and everyone got more than enough food. Our server, Erica, was so attentive and fun and made everything easy and seamless! Could not recommend enough for a private event!
