Nymph Falls Nature Park

The trails go on for what feels like forever, you can easily get lost in this haven. It really looks surreal, like a fairy tale, no matter which way you look here. I really love the little nooks where you can dip into the slow parts of the river, and you can pretty much take the trails both to lake Comox and all the way up to forbidden plateau (although that route is rather demoralizing due to massive visible deforestation along the way)

Trails were very well maintained, easy walking. The river level is up right now, which made the falls more active. Be careful on the rock along the river edge.

Great place to just enjoy the way of the water, how it rushes down after days of rain and how salmon try continue their journey fighting against the water’s forces! We stayed and watched for about an hour, some eagles flew over, as well as salmon.

Great falls/river to visit.short walk from the parking lot and water is right there! Highly recommended place to check out.

The flow was low, the water was warm, the sun was shining and the trail is wheel chair accessible so all can enjoy this special spot.

Went to Barbers hole for a quick swim and ended up spending all afternoon there. Great place to cool off when the weather is hot!

Beautiful place to visit and enjoy the falls and pools on a hot day. We came midweek and it wasn’t very busy.

Fall #1 of six waterfalls in six days. The approach to this fall is the most knee-friendly. It was an easy trail with an a gentle ascent. We let the sound of the waterfall guide us in direction. When we finally reach the viewing area of the fall, it was hard to stop the big grin on my face when presented with the openness of the vista and the roaring sound. It's mesmerizing. If not for the rain, we might have stood there forever.

The water was slightly cold but very refreshing for a hot summer's day. Would definitely come back again with more friends.

It's a must see when you are in Courtenay. Has a nice loop trail to hike. And the falls.epic spot for photography, has spots for swimming when safe. (during summer).

Great walk for kids, not too long. Off leash for dogs, which is awesome! Our pups always have so much fun! Beautiful views of the falls, and fun swimming area on a hot day.

One of the best places to go swimming when you find the main location beautiful an always has sun.

Only down side is the teenagers that think the rock flat belongs to them an leave all their garbage,

Excellent hike to the falls! The density of the trees at one point makes it feel like you're walking through a forest without an actual path. Once you hit the main falls, the trail extends along the river with various viewpoints the farther down it you do. Thoroughly enjoyed this one.

Great fall time walk! I love this place when I visit the island in the summer and the falls has many great swimming spots. This was my first fall visit and it was gorgeous. Just wish there wasn't rain.

Great regional park with a well identified trail system. The falls were beautiful to check out from the various view points along the river. Definitely recommend spending some time here if you're looking for something to do.

The most amazing spot to go and enjoy the water and scenery. A must visit when you are in the area, don't miss this!

My favorite place to trail run and stop to watch the water flow down the river. Very peaceful and relaxing. Plus there are many outhouses along the way. The newest outhouse is built log-cabin style and I give it 5 out of 5 gold stars.

Been here for the first time for a quick stop and I loved it. The swimming holes will make you wanna take a dip so bring your swim clothes with you!

Nice place to take the family to. Kids can swim in the shallow water. Several points along the trail to pick a spot by the water.

Beautiful place to spend the afternoon. Found ourselves a big flat rock, played crib and watched the crowd jump in swimming holes. Bring your swim suit

Only a short (10min) easy (flat) walk to the scenic water. Longer loop to the dam as option too. Definitely worth a visit.

Great park! Benches everywhere. Trails are wheelchair friendly and divided into bicycle and hiking trails.
The falls and the fish ladder are a must see!

So cool! Many little pools to dip your feet in or swim. Not particularly small kid safe. Great place to hike in with a pic nic.

It was a beautiful place to hike! The only reason it got four stars instead of five was because the trail was slightly difficult to follow during my time there. Still a must visit place!

This is one of my favourite places, quite possibly the top of the list. Lots of biking/walking trails through the 61 hectares of (protected I believe) forest and an absolutely beautiful swimming spot. There are slow, shallow pools for young ones and swimmers that aren't so experienced as well as faster, deeper spots for more adventurous/experienced swimmers. Underwater potholes have been carved through some of the stone leaving openings large enough for me to swim through and emerge from a different cavern than the one I dove in. I LOVE THIS SPOT!

We headed here on Family Day and were treated to a wonderful winter scene. It was snowing which added to the beauty of the area.

I love going to this place for light hikes and walks! The forest looks different in different seasons and there's always something new to find!

The tall trees, the pristine water.the greens and the blues.all of it together, makes it perfect!

Super duper slippery rocks but if you manage you can go behind waterfalls, use the nature slide, swim beside large fish, find amazing Dallasite, and explore rock dugouts

Beautiful, well maintained trails to falls and surrounding area. Only a 5 minute walk to falls but you can hike on longer trails nearby.

Water running extremely fast. Unable to enjoy sitting on dry rock with visitors. Otherwise lovely as always

We went tubing down this on a pink flamingo and I bruised my bones pretty badly, it was a freezing day but it was great and very beautiful.

Very short walk from the packed parking lot. It’s a popular place and I can see why. The water temperature at the end of August was pretty nice. There are many viewing areas and parts of the trail are accessible for disabled people. Several areas of the river where everyone young and old can splash around.

Trails for different level. You can hike or just get out of the car, walk 5 minutes to see this beauty!

This place is amazing. No wonder there were numerous cars parked on the road. The falls are 5-10 mins walk from the parking lot. The rapids create multiple pools in the rocks where it's slow enough to swim in and you can lay on the rocks to dry off in the sun. The water is nice an warm too.

Stunning waterfalls and an easy little hike to get there and see it all. There are two good view points and both within 15 minutes light walk from the parking lot. Worth the visit if you're in the vicinity.

Just amazing. The Falls are well shown on the map at the beginning of the park. After a 5-10min walk through the forest you will reach the Falls and are taken aback by the beautiful scenery in front of you. Moreover there are beautiful spots to rest on the stones. The water is amazing to swim there if you are careful to watch the streams. If there is high tight, i consider it save to jump off a cliff where you can see a rope attached to a fallen tree. However, i do not recommend to slide down anywhere on the Falls. It is too unpredictable as you can not see the underground and it is hard to say how strong the streams are. Do it at your own risk.
If you are reading this, please be aware to take all your rubbish/ trash with you if the rubbish bins are full. It is just sad to see that people still leave things on the ground and do not seem to care about our future.

Nice place for a leisurely stroll. I took Bear Bait trail, but all I encountered was a cantankerous squirrel.

Walking trails, beautiful scenery and a place to sit and have a picnic. Nymph Falls is a beautiful place. Read the signs and be careful near the water. Enjoy

Beautiful! However, trails are not mapped out very well. Some areas near the river are not wheelchairs accessible but still worth a trip for a short hike.

Great waterfalls and challenging swimming with very slippery rocks! Nice forests with quality trails.

The hike is only about 5 mins or less to the falls but if you still feel like hiking you can take the long loop trail and walk along the river

Beautiful and really accessible. The short walk through the forest is quite nice, but the falls are an incredible payoff. They aren't the highest falls, but they're very wide and the huge volume of water coming down the fish ladder is captivating. Well worth it - is the perfect place for a family picnic on a sunny day!

Beautiful place for a walk, area currently has some construction going on though, fences and caution signs on part of the parking area.
