Ocean Dental

I visited Dr. Mehr Poulad @ Ocean dental for a molar extraction and graft due to an infection in the gumline above the roots. The appointment was right on time and the 1.5 hour effort was well explained to me ahead of time. Dr Poulad made sure all my questions were answered and I understood what was happening step-by-step. He also helped manage my pain with the right amount of anaesthetic. I didn’t feel any pain before, during or after the procedure. The dental assistant, Alana, was also very helpful and comforting. The procedure went extremely well. Dr Poulad is efficient and careful and gentle. I walked out of there feeling good and was able to eat comfortably the same day. I highly recommend Dr Poulad to anybody looking for a dentist and the Ocean Dental staff were very welcoming. The office is quite clean and nice. I’ll be revisiting later this year to complete the procedure for installing a new tooth.

I have been seeing Dr Poulad for a few years now and he is truly the best dentist there is! He always takes his time to listen to my concerns and thoroughly explains different solutions and the pros and cons of each. I'm always so comfortable with him and leave the clinic confident and feeling great!

I had a root canal appointment with dr poulad. It wasn't perfect the first time and there were spaces left in the filling. He did the root canal.again free of cost but still I am not 100 percent ok. There is still pain and de coloration of my teeth. According to him after the 2nd root canal he won't do anything. I called another dentist regarding the whole procedure and he told me it might be a failed root canal.
I am so disgusted by this.
I am not blaming anyone.just shared my experience.

Have been doing second crown and tooth treatment at Ocean Dental. Very nice place, with exceptional service and professionalism. After trying different clinics, ended up with Ocean Dental and don't plan to switch to another.

I had Vanessa as my hygienist and she is just amazing I honestly love her and asked if it was possible to put a request on my file to have her again for all of my future visits. Dr. Poulad is also very kind and amazing with kids which is why I started coming here in the first place. My kids have all come to Dr. Poulad for they're very first dentist appointments and they are always literally excited to come back when I tell them I've booked appointments for them. The first question they ask everytime is "can we get another balloon!? ", which Dr. Poulad is always happy to make for them.

Dr Poulad is very attentive and has great bedside manner. He makes sure I understand what the next steps are and why. He is patient with his explanation too. The ladies there are also great!

Been coming to this clinic for over 4 years. Friendly staff, the ambiance is comfortable, and clean and they provide world class service. I don’t dread going to the dentist since I’ve starting coming here. They don’t try to sell you procedures you don’t need. The hygienists, the dentists and the reception staff are all kind, and skilled. Highly recommend.

All the staff at Ocean Dental are truly awesome. From the front staff, to the assistants and doctor (s), everyone is so incredibly kind. I knew I would be in good hands when the patient intake form included how detailed I'd like my dental health to be communicated with me and what specific services I was looking for. The office is spectacular, clean, and comfortable to be in. I filled out that I'd like for my dental health to be communicated in detail and Dr. Poulad delivered! His assistant Alana and him work efficiently and meticulously while ensuring I'm comfortable with frequent check-ins. I informed both Dr. Poulad and Alana about my fear of needles for my procedure and they were so gentle. Thank you, Dr. Poulad, Alana, and Jamie:)

Joyce, the hygienist, is amazing. She is so patient, knowledgeable, and meticulous; she took the time to ensure that I wouldn't feel any discomfort or pain during my cleaning due to my sensitive teeth. Would love to have her as my hygienist forever!

I have been trying to find a dental office that my toddler would feel confident in. I have tried a couple different ones including a paediatric dental office and none have been close to how amazing ocean dental was! So impressed. The dentist, Dr Poulad, and dental assistant, Alanna, made my son feel comfortable and at ease (truly a hard task.ask any toddler mom) and even made him LAUGH - thank you soo much. I’ll be switching to this dental office as well after my experience here.

I have been going to this dentist since 2008. That’s longer than my marriage.
Always treated with respect, and Dr. Poulad is an amazing man, plain and simple. When I started at this dentist, I was a single man, and now I am married with a kid who now goes there.
And I won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.

I have been going to Ocean Dental since they opened I believe about 20 years ago. I have had nothing but top notch care. Broke a tooth a couple of days ago and despite this being their last day before the holiday break, they fit me in and I don't look like a hockey goon anymore. Dr. Beckie and the staff are awesome!

Friendly helpful staff in a modern well equipped office. I've had implants and a bridge in the last year and it all went well.

First class care and always respond to your questions in a professional manner, they seldomly suggest unnecessary treatment which is big plus compared with other dental offices out there.

The staff are professional and caring. They take great care of my whole family’s dental health. My two boys are not afraid to visit their dentist and hygienist from a young age. I can’t emphasize how satisfied I’m with the team and how well they take care of our teeth.

Anyone going to this dentist should be cautious as they did work that was unnecessary. He actually caused damage that I have never experienced in decades of going to various dentists. I will be going to another dentist for further work and repairs. I highly regret choosing this dentist.

I’ve been going to Ocean Dental for 10 years. Prior to Ocean Dental going to the dentist was cause for anxiety, but Dr. Beckie, Harprit, and Jas changed all that. With confidence I can say that they’re the best, and nicest group of teeth people you’ll ever meet. Same goes with the rest of their staff. Excellence all around. Go get your teeth cleaned and see for yourself. What’s that? You’re not in need of a cleaning right now? I suggest you put down that toothbrush, eat a bunch of sugar for a couple of months, and then book an appointment. Yes, they’re so good I recommend you neglect your oral hygiene so you have a reason to get in there as soon as possible.

Always great service and everyone there is really friendly. Had some pain in my mouth and they managed to see me in 30 minutes. Even though I live further away now, I will continue to go to Ocean Dental from the positive experiences I have had.

The best dental experience and I am so happy I finally switched to Ocean Dental. Dr. Poulad fixed a filling that was broken and fallen out and I was nervous about the injection for numbing but the entire experience was great and everything went smoothly. The office is clean and beautiful with modern equipment and the staff are professional and caring. I am already booked for my next cleaning and am grateful I have a dentist I can fully trust.

It was awesome visit. The Doctor knows what the best for you, and the are all friendly. Cleaning was great with soft hand of a pretty lady. Please visit this clinic and you will have a lovely smile again.

Been going to ocean dental since it was in Metrotown mall. No where is perfect but I have rarely been unhappy and recommend them to people I know who are looking for a dentist.

Hands down the best dentist office I've ever been too. Always a smooth experience. The staff is very detailed oriented and they have exceptional follow though with all your dental needs as a whole. They definitely care about retaining life long clients.

I have been going to Ocean dental for decades. I have always felt safe, professionally looked after and highly confident in the care I was receiving. My normal hygienist has retired so today I meant Jas for the first time. She was sweet and gentle, quick and thorough and I look forward to seeing her on my next trip. I had to book an emergency appointment, I am from out of province and they were so helpful, I had filled out the contact form online the night before at 9pm by 7: 30am the following day I had already gotten a response, I called and they were able to fit me in the same day. Mirela was absolutely amazing and super friendly, as was the rest of the staff!

Enjoyed the visit as much as you can enjoy a dental visit! Friendly staff, the procedure went well and they had very good cleanliness protocols.

I love how high tech Ocean Dental is. I love how the customer service is outstanding. I feel comfortable and well looked after. I wish more businesses would imitate your office procedures and service. The business world would be a better place if they did.

Ocean dental is an amazing clinic. Great front end staff as well professional, thorough and friendly dentists and hygienists.

I've been a patient here for over 25 years and have been incredibly happy with the service they provide every single time. Dr Pidzarko has been my dentist for as long as I've been with Ocean Dental, though I did also see Dr Beckie for a check-up once, many years ago.

The hygiene team is also wonderful! They know that I struggle with a bad gag reflex, and they've been creative in finding ways to help mitigate that during cleanings and other procedures. This team has performed 4 wisdom tooth removals, a small handful of fillings, and over 50 cleanings. As much as I hate going to the dentist (I'm sure we all do!), I'm always comfortable knowing that the Ocean Dental team will do a wonderful job.

I highly recommend Ocean Dental. I've had everything from an extraction of a cracked tooth to root canals, implants, crowns and fillings. I've been well looked after from start to finish in a comfortable and highly professional manner. Dr. Pidzarko and his friendly, competent team are awesome.

Everyone at the clinic was extremely friendly and helpful! From the receptionists to the dental assistants and hygienists. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a dental clinic!

Ocean Dental was there for me with an emergency dental situation and continue to provide amazing dental care with my regular check ups and cleanings.

Dr. Poulad made a huge mistake on one of my lower crowns. My other dentist had to fix it and perform a root canal. I never experienced that much pain. When my dentist fixed Dr. Poulad's mistake, he snickered and shook his head.

This is the only dental clinic that me and my family will ever go to. Dr Poulad is absolutely amazing and takes the time to answer all your questions and actually cares for his patients. Even his front desk staff is just like him- kind and courteous. Best dental clinic ever.

My wife and I had a great experience with Ocean Dental. We have asked Dr. Poulad to take care of a broken bridge. Dr. Poulad has offered us multiple options in different price categories and we decided to replace the broken bridge with 3 implants, which is quite complex and long term job of removing the old bridge, tooth removal and gum recovery, performing sinus lifting surgery (it has been done by Dr. Pidzarko), creating and placing implants. Thanks a lot to Dr. Mehr Poulad, Dr. Lyle Pidzarko, Andrea, Victoria, and others helped during the process. It was real teamwork, which led to the excellent results.

The staff here is very kind! From reception, to dental hygienist/assistant, to the dentists themselves. Whatever condition your teeth are in there is no judgment and there is no guilting. Would definitely recommend.

Have been going to them for a number of years now. They have been pretty good in all aspect of a Dentist. Dr. Poulad is very good at what he does. I would give him 4 STAR! How ever since the Covid started I hear that you have to pay out of pocket 1st and then claim money back from our dental plan! I have a good plan and they never have trouble getting pay so why do I have to pay 1st? I do not agreed with this office procedure. Don't think it's fair to your customers who has dental plans.

Ocean dental is absolutely amazing! Every single person who works there is incredibly polite and just very easy to talk too. Exceptional work and service too.

My husband and myself have been patients of Dr. Beckie for 25 years. We have always been treated with dignity and respect at all the locations that he has practiced, including Ocean Dental. Their professional staff are continuously being trained on the most current medical equipment and technology which makes your visit at Ocean Dental, less stressful. Their hours are flexible to accommodate all different schedules. If you have an emergency, they seem to be able to fit you in, if you want to book ahead, you can, and you can request to be called if there is cancellation, so you can get in earlier. Also, the location is accessible by transit and there is a lot of free parking across the street. We recommend Ocean Dental to everyone.

Dr. Poulad is an amazing dentist, he explains everything in detail and makes me feel at ease when I'm in the dentist chair. I personally had very poor dentist experiences in the past and I've been with Dr. Poulad for a few years now and am very pleased with his service, attitude and overall care he provides to his patients.
