Dismissive, made me feel stupid for asking questions about surgery, rushed, i'm definitely not comfortable to trust my health to a company that doesnt care

Haven't had my appointment yet but dealt with Dante on the scheduling team and he was super professional and curtious great ambassador for the surgery

D. Douglas gives you realistic expectations and not false promises. I appreciate the long term follow up for any issues. All the professionals are friendly, competent, and detailed oriented. Over the 2.5 years or so had always a good experience.

Some of the upper management can be unprofessional and narcissistic. I do not recommend this business. I was a customer, F. S.are not the initials on the credit card used.

Had braces for an extremely long time, ending with a double jaw surgery. After having them off a few hours ago I could not he happier! The entire team at Ocean Orthodontics is exceptional. Appointments were easy to make, and easy to update if I needed. Thanks to all of thier care, I can smile everyday!

After posting my original one star review, I received a personal phone call from the Dr. He was politely concerned about my issue and wanted to correct anything that seemed unfair. He maintained genuine concern for me as a patient and a customer. I’m impressed with how this office handled things at the end of the day.
Original review:
I had my Invisalign started before Covid. When the process was all done, the Dr.made my retainers to keep my teeth in line. After six months of wearing the retainers, my teeth weren’t aligned anymore and my bite was all messed up.
I returned and had to restart my Invisalign for another year to correct the error with the retainer! The doctor never acknowledged the mistake once and even charged me an extra $250 to replace the retainer that was wrong to begin with!
When I asked why I was paying for it, the doctor said the last year of treatment was free, so this is fair. The year of wearing Invisalign that shouldn’t have happened!
I’m sure there’s better places with a doctor who has some ownership and empathy.

Dr. Douglas is meticulous and communicates well. After my Invisalign treatment, he wanted to make a couple of fixes to make sure everything was perfect. He built me a temporary retainer until I got my permanent retainer. This fixed some spacing in my bottom teeth that occurred during the Invisalign treatment. I never have to wait and the staff are nice and friendly. They even let me bring my little dog to sit on my lap during my treatments.

I recently completed my orthodontic consultation at Ocean Orthodontics.
They took the time to explain each step of the treatment process and made sure I felt comfortable throughout.
The office is modern, clean, and well-equipped, with plenty of parking and easy access.
The front desk staff were always prompt and friendly, and they were able to answer all of my questions about billing and insurance.
Overall, I highly recommend Ocean Orthodontics to anyone looking for exceptional orthodontic care. They truly go above and beyond to provide the best possible experience for their patients.

Questions ignored, office does not follow up after promising to, estimates not provided after months of waiting

After completing full treatment, I found my primary concerns were not addressed at all, rather aesthetics mattered more for the Doctors.
I came in with a referral from my dentist, who highlighted my temporomandibular joint (TMJ) issues. Dr. Douglas assured me that my underbite was a cause for concern and that braces would be necessary to correct the alignment of my joint. I trusted his expertise and moved forward with the treatment plan. Throughout the time, I would reinforce that my concern was the function of my jaw and the referred pain it was causing.
Fast forward 3 years, a lot of pain, and over $7000 spent, I found myself with the same level of TMJ dysfunction and continued pain. Upon my final treatment, I asked once again regarding my primary cause for concern and found myself with a response that implied nothing could be done but at least my smile looks nice.
I have found relief through Chiropractic care, where they have been able to relax the surrounding tissues around the TMJ, restabilize it, and teach my brain how to move the joint in an appropriate way. This has cost me far less and I've experienced results at a much faster rate.
Overall, Ocean Orthodontics is a pleasant establishment, with friendly and enthusiastic staff. My issues are that it felt like more of a "money grab" rather than patient education and appropriate referral when Orthodontic treatment was not the solution.

After having both of my children go through their orthodontic treatment with Ocean Orthodontics I have decided to get Invisalign for myself. We could not have been happier with this place. Dr. Douglas and his staff are all wonderful. Professional and patient, they make your treatment the least painful for you. Love the lady who does the financing. Explains everything very clearly, shows you all the options and works with your insurance.

This is the worst orthodonic place that we have had to deal with. The orthodontist was not honest in answering our questions or concerns. Booking appointments was inflexible and they will not book any slightly longer procedures during the afternoon hours. They are completely closed on weekends and many of school holidays, making it extremely difficult to get work done without taking my daughter out of school for hours at a time because of travel time to and from plus appointment time. Would never had chosen this orthodontist

I had the best experience with Dr. Douglas and his staff. He is fantastic at his job, everyone who works there is very friendly and caring and knowledgeable, my teeth turned out perfect just as I had hoped and the payment plan was amazing and easy. I would recommend this place to everyone. 10/10.
