Ocean Park Pizza & Steak House

I worked here for like 3 years in highschool. It was my first job and holy, now that I have a real job this place is littered in red flags.
-i was 14 and management would SCREAM at me when I made minor mistakes
-if you worked more than 5 hours they would dock your pay for a lunch break but you couldn't take breaks.
-management could not handle stress and would get in the way more than they would help
-they would steal from the staff and customers in time and upcharging every little thing
-they "veal" schnitzel was actually pork
Two stars cause the coworkers were awesome and the Greek food is delicious.

Disappointed, as this place was amazing years ago. I don't think staff have been trained properly for the hospitality industry. Food has also taken a dive.

I got the roast lamb tonight and it was mostly fat. Usually, you would use a shank or shoulder cut but it was scraps.

Go to posidens, which I also don't recommend. But, hey it's better service and food.

I've never been so disappointed with service in a while and this is it.

Okay, something has changed? The pizza used to be really good but we just got a large meat pizza and it was not good. It was greasy and tasteless. Not sure what has happened. To be fair, the greek salad was good but not worth 15.95.

We had to make a trip back there because the owner Leo makes sure everyone feels like family and the food is awesome.

Visited from Toronto after flying into Abbotsford. Must say had to be one of the best home cooked pizzas I've had to date and the waitress provided extremely good service!

This place has amazing old school Greek style pizza and fantastic pastas, especially their baked lasagna. Garfield would be proud.

Went to pick up take out and was told I couldn’t use tap to pay with my phone and had to drive another 30 mins to finally be able to pay. My food was ice cold by the time I was able to pick it up. I use tap from my phone everywhere I shop including farmers markets and small farm stores, so I’m not too sure why they don’t have this setup. The Hummus and pita is $9 and comes with a small container of hummus and 2 pita bread which is incredibly disappointing as you used to get a large container with 4 pita for the same price. The chicken souvlaki dinner container was only half full, for $25 I expect a full container of food. The food was tasteless and the entire experience was really disappointing as I used to come here all the time years ago and loved it. I definitely won’t be coming back ever again.

Tired, old restaurant with 90s decore and a tired, old 90s menu.

Staff was quick and attentive, but submissive. No personality. Portions were generous, prices were reasonable. With the bland options, perhaps that is why they can offer quantity rather than quality.

Staff and owners are committed to great service and consistently excellent food, inside the restaurant or for take out.

Very delicious food. Even the owner comes in and is super friendly and gets to know you. What owner does that?

So disappointed. Ocean Park in Brookswood used to be so good. Leo and Maria have owned it for forever and the quality of food and service had always been great. Many years ago, my father went there daily to eat and knew them quite well. Tonight, my 9 year old son and I went there for dinner. Granted, it is Father's day, but we arrived before the crazy rush and 2, MAYBE 3 tables had guests then. In the side that we were sitting, there was one server and a food runner. By the time we left, there were about 7 or 8 full tables, some of them with 6 or 8 people at them, the rest were 4 seaters.and still one server and one hostess/runner. The server got busy for sure, but like I said, we arrived before the rush. We were seated by the hostess/food runner and another table of four, who were on first name basis and affectionate with the staff, were sat around the same time (2 of the people at that table were seated as we were, and then another 2 joined). They were served first. The server eventually came to take our drink order, at minimum, ten mins after we sat down. We'd already looked over the menu and made a decision on our food by the time she actually arrived.

Our food didn't take long, but was very basic. A small cheese pizza and a beef souvlaki meal. I went back after ordering and asked for a side of garlic toast as well, and the server seemed annoyed. Food arrived. The cheese pizza looked like it was a frozen pizza or in the very least, a perfectly round, frozen crust.like perfectly round. It didn't taste great either. I can get better for $9 up the street at the local pizza joint. For $27, the 2 skewers of beef were tender and the rice pilaf was typical rice pilaf. I got 2/3 of 1/2 of a roasted lemon potato. Not even a full half.lol. I got 1/2 of a piece of pita cut into two and I got some Greek salad on the same plate. I'm pretty certain the dressing on the Greek salad was actually Caesar dressing and it was warm.

Once the server took our order (ten mins after arrival), she never came back, not even to ask if our food was ok. Eventually, I asked the food runner for take away boxes and asked our server in passing, for our bill. When the runner brought our boxes back, she very quickly said, "here's your bill, the machines at the front. Thanks, " and walked away. No actual bother about or care put in.whatsoever. By that point, I was so annoyed and disappointed in the entire experience, that I left cash on the desk and walked out. Never again will I go back. I get that covid has made things tough for businesses, but both poor service and lame food are just too much for one visit.

Whole lotta nothing special. I ordered an appetizer plate of calamari, zucchini sticks, chicken strips and it’s all stuff you could get out of a Sysco bag. My nephew ordered fettuccini alfredo and it was watery. I ordered a rib and chicken and lasagna plate and the chicken had a bad taste to it, left it on the plate. The ribs were ok, no complaints there. The lasagna was pretty basic and anyone with the ingredients could make the exact same or better. The two young girls that seat you and get you drinks aren’t very sociable but they’re probably family members. Idk, I’d give the place a 2 at best. Definitely a one and done kind of place.

I have ordered a few times from ocean park pizza, the pizza is ok but everything else like they're ribs, lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs just tastes bland/precooked/old. I feel like the restaurant is stuck in the 90s and needs to reinvent itself to survive in the turbulent economic times. However I digress, the staff are kind and hard-working, but the food just isn't really good or worth what they are charging. Sorry Ocean park I really wanted to like your food

We were there with a large group, and everything went very well. From the greeting, the service, and the food.

Slow service. Got a dried up salad. Which is common to most ocean parks. But come one who wants that? Also I can't stand a ow error just sitting at a table and tries to talk to everyone from his table. Get up and greet your guests properly or get someone to do the job. Watered down iced tea. Ordered steak then over heard that they have a steak special. Guess I'm special enough not to be told. Then went to pay and it took 4 attempts die to old interact machine. And the 2 young girls looked like theyare being forced to work. Never smiled or tried to do without having too. I paid tipped and left. I'll say the steak was good but that's it

I have been eating here since my teen years and still do to this day. The food and service is excellent

I find this restaurant super hit or miss with their Souvlaki Chicken - however more often than not it is overcooked dry and over salted. My last order the rice was greasy, the potatoes were again way too salty, and the chicken was dry hard and extremely salty. While most restaurants I will opt for more salad over the rice, I avoid their greek salad at all costs as the veggies are usually over ripe and I don't like the ratio of veggies and how they are cut. I do hope they do an overhaul on their greek recipes as it is in great need of it. Honestly, for the price for two people it's outrageous considering the quality of the meal was hardly edible, I am traumatized by the burning and taste of salt in my mouth. I will say on occasion their chicken is good, but I'll be avoiding ordering here in the near future. Hopefully there is an overhaul and I can order great greek food from a convenient and local restaurant in the future.

Worse pasta ive had, the chicken tasted like it was boiled and there were no mushrooms in it.never coming back until you get a better chef

First time there. Picked up fantastic lasagna and pizza. Friendly owner guy rang me through. Will definitely be back.
