I used to be the type who would only voluntarily sit in a dentist’s chair if a tooth had rotted to the point where despite taking the maximum dose of eight Tylenols a day, the pounding pain would still be vicious.

Now that I’ve discovered Oceanfront Dental, those days are behind me. Dr Kyle Green has made me feel so safe that from now on, going to the dentist will no longer feel like being at the mercy of a torturer.

His first act of thoughtfulness took place even before I sat in his chair - the moment I stepped into his cubicle, he offered to take my coat.

As I reclined on the chair, it was reassuring to see on the ceiling a TV screen with Netflix selections.

“I can give you a headphone and remote if you want, ” now it was the nurse Mila speaking.

Then it was Dr Green’s face above me again. He was holding a needle.

“Now wiggle your toes so that you can take your mind off the injection” he said. Because he had already numbed my gums with cooling gel, the slight tenderness the needle made when it entered didn’t bother me at all.

“Raise your hand whenever you feel discomfort and I will stop, ” he said before starting the drilling work.

I only exercised the privilege of raising my hand once: I was half asleep, half aware of the marine animals featured in the Netflix nature documentary above me when a loud drill blared in my head. The tooth that was being worked on was a bit sensitive, but I was more mentally shocked than anything.

Dr Green immediately gave me another pain injection. He used that loud drill again only once, and very briefly.

He did three fillings in two hours. One molar he worked on had already been declared by a reputable dentist in Shanghai as unsalvageable 12 years ago; since then, I hadn’t let any dentist get near that tooth. Dr Green simply dealt with it without a fuss, only commenting briefly afterwards “I’ve removed all the decay. ”

But what impressed me the most was throughout my session, Dr Green was as courteous to the nurse as he was to me.

If I had had the good fortune of receiving this kind of patient-centred treatment earlier in my life, I would never have avoided the dental profession like plague for the better part of two decades.

A stunning 5stars! As somebody who has put off improving my smile for years, I did my research and saw rave reviews for Dr Sedin and his team. Over very detailed first visits the care and professional suggestions were clearly explained along with a digital picture of what to expect.
The final product, my front teeth beautifully shaped and brightened is incredible and I've been told makes me look much younger! I'm lining up my two sons next!

We have been patients at Oceanfront Dental for decades. When Dr. Seddon took over the clinic, we considered switching to a clinic closer to our home as we since moved out in the suburbs, but we are so glad we decided to stay. Dr. Seddon did an implant surgery on my husband when his old bridge failed and it was a flawless recovery. Anke, our hygienist, is meticulous and has such a calming presence that we always look forward to getting our teeth "tuned up". Lately, my husband developed severe tooth ache on a Friday evening and Dr. Seddon took care of the medication prescription on a Sunday so that antibiotics can be started as soon as possible. This place is a great gem of a dental clinic that we do not hesitate to recommend.

I cracked a tooth on a flight to Canada and these nice people at Oceanfront dental arranged to see me next day. As well as fixing my cracked tooth that needed a crown they also removed 3 wisdom teeth that were surplus to requirements and would have caused me issues in the future. Previously I HATED the dentist after a few nightmare trips as a kid in the UK but Dr Nick Seddon is like some kind of dental ninja, he removed the teeth before I even knew what he was doing in there. Totally pain free and the after care i received was just fantastic. I also saw Dr. Green for a few fillings who was also incredibly skilled and gave me further pain free treatments. Then later on the next week I saw a visiting hygienist and then Marlee the resident hygienist both of whom gave me such great cleaning experiences and good advice on future cavity prevention and general tooth care/flossing advice. After not being able to get a dental appointment in the UK for 2 years due to COVID restrictions i walked out of that office with clean white teeth and a new found confidence to smile again.

If you are looking for a dentist in the Downtown area of Vancouver or looking to find a dentists who provide great patient care and high quality workmanship then i would recommend the good folks at Oceanfront Dental to anyone asking. So good i may try and get a check up next time i'm back in Canada as these guys blow British dentistry out of the water!

Oceanfront Dental in general and Dr. Kyle Green specifically, are everything a Dental Clinic and a Dentist should be. Becoming a patient was seamless as the administrative team not only are highly professional and presentable, they also file your benefits claims for you after your appointment. They are also readily available if you need any assistance prior or after your appointment. Upon arriving to my appointment I was welcomed over to the dentist chair and taken care of by Marianne, the extremely professional and detail-oriented dental assistant. She made me feel comfortable and in good spirits throughout the appointment and continuously ensured I was doing okay. Dr. Kyle Green is a master of his trade and did a tremendous job with my dental fillings. He was gentle, thorough and skilled, and also made sure I was happy with the result before I left. Later in the day, he even called me to make sure that there were no complications, which of course there weren’t. If there was such a thing as luxury dentistry, this would be the epitome of it.

Dr. Seddon is wonderful and does a fantastic job everytime! The staff are friendly and helpful too. Best dentist I have found in Vancouver would highly recommend!

I have a dental phobia and it has been nearly impossible to get dental work done for the past ten years, until I tried Oceanfront! They are very understanding, friendly, and worked with me to tackle work I needed done on my teeth. With IV sedation, I was able to get cavities filled and wisdom teeth out - all without pain, worry, stress, or panic! I highly recommend Dr. Seddon and his team.

Our son chipped his front tooth when he was younger and Dr Green did amazing job taking care of that problem. He also needed 3 cavities fixed and had a really positive experience.

Dr. Seddon is amazing. I came to see him after I completely smashed my two front teeth and was devastated thinking that I would never get my smile back. Not only did Dr. Seddon restore my teeth but he made my smile even better than it was before. I have been happily going to Oceanfront Dental for about 25 years (well to the extent that you can be happy going to the dentist). Last weekend I was having some tooth pain so I called Oceanfront and left a message that I needed an appointment ASAP. Promptly when they opened Monday I received a call saying I could come in for 1: 30pm. I have not really had to see a dentist there since Dr Salo sold the business. I was officially introduced to Dr Nick Seddon, who very thoroughly examined me and recommended I have a crown put in over the painful molar. What was great was that Dr Seddon took his time and actually we had a conversation about something other than teeth. And he always made sure that I was alright and not in any pain. He was very professional yet affable and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist. Of course, what makes Oceanfront great to me is not just having great dentists like Dr Seddon but also the support staff are amazingly efficient, friendly and empathetic. Chandra and Sue feel like family members at this point. And I do not want to forget my hygienist of many years Anke, who has probably singlehandedly kept me from needing more dental or gum work & never caused me any pain. Also, Oceanfront is definitely on the forefront of dental technology. For example I had my final crown in within 90 minutes of sitting in the chair (no temporary crown as they can usually make the crown right in the office). Add to that the comfy chairs, the flat screen TVs on the ceiling, wireless headphones & pillows for your head on request, and you 'almost' don't mind going to the dentist. All I can say is that after 25 years with Oceanfront Dental I still have all my own teeth and I am almost 64. As you can tell, my five star rating is based on many, many positive experiences at Oceanfront. I plan to still be a patient there when I am 84. Oh and BTW, Dr Seddon called me personally a day after the procedure to enquire as to how I was doing! No dentist has ever done that for me.

I have done my implant with the incredibly talented Doctor Nick Seddon. He made my whole experience so much better than I anticipated. Doctor Seddon is not as rushed as most doctors, and he even called me after the treatments to be reassured I am fine. Had a few wisdom teeth removed. Quick and painless procedure - would do it again, but I could live without the yogurt and soup diet afterwards.

I came to Oceanfront for a second opinion after suffering a trauma to my front teeth from a fall and was concerned with the treatment plan by the first dentist I saw. At Oceanfront I saw Dr. Green, he was kind, understanding and willing to take the time to explain everything he was doing. He did his best to ensure that I was comfortable with everything he was doing and that the procedures caused as little discomfort as possible. I absolutely recommend and love Dr. Seddon. I went to see him quite long ago for teeth sensitivity. Dr. Seddon gave me a full complete exam without charging. He went through the potential issues and solutions very patiently and nicely. I highly appreciate the time he took to address my concerns. The only reason stopped me from visiting again was purely because of the appearance of the clinic. It seemed to be a bit dated and sanitary condition was my concern. I know they are trying their best to keep the clinic clean, but it's just a personal preference to visit a bright and tidy clinic. I really wish they could improve the condition, and I would be super excited to going back and seeing Dr. Seddon!

This was my first visit and I felt well taken care of. All my needs were met and extra time set aside for my procedure without having to re-book and come back in. My hygienist was very personable as were both dentists. I even received a follow up phone call after my appointment which was very refreshing. The front desk staff were very knowledgable and efficient. Overall this was an excellent experience and I will be returning for all my dental needs going forward.

Professional office with great staff, a very convenient location and exceptional dental care. My hygenist Jill, is truly the best in her field. I can actually say it is pleasant to have my teeth cleaned by her! Dr. Seddon is positive and professional providing detailed assessments. They have additional services such as invisline and botox which makes them a great one stop shop!

Went to see Dr. Kyle to fix my tooth as I thought I lost a filling. I just chipped it and he polished my tooth free of charge. He also did the sealants on my baby brother’s first molar teeth. My brother said he is so cool and his assistant Cynthia is the best as she was very helpful with my brother knowing him being a gagger. Thanks for being so good to me and my brother. OSS

Dr. Nick is an absolute perfectionist and gem. I'm a bit OCD myself, so I tend to feel the need to over explain things, but he saw details that I even didn't consider or notice.which rarely happens. You can tell he loves what he does. Also, super duper friendly man.

Dr Seddon did a perfect job fixing an older set of veneers I had that were uneven for years. He also added 4 no prep veneers and the process was such a breeze compared to my past experiences. It really completed my smile and I wish I had done it sooner. Completely professional and high tech!

Dr. Nick made me feel so incredibly confident when I chatted with him about an issue I thought was basically not fixable. He assured me I was going to be okay, was in great hands, and then started to get to work on an action plan that worked best for me. I am starting to feel so relieved. Thank the lord I found him. Also, the receptionist Katie is so wonderful and offered to hold my hand when I was nervous about chatting with Dr. Nick. Needless to say, I was totally fine and didn't need the hand hold, but normally I would take that offer up!

I had a filling done for D. Seddon a few weeks ago. The procedure was very fast, plus, the freezing was painless, and I couldn’t feel the needle. At the end, no one can tell that I have a filling in this tooth as real it looks like. Thanks for doing this for me, I don’t have enough words to describe how happy I am.

Being a dentist makes me very critical about the way people provide me any type of dental work but I must say that my cleaning with the hygienist Shabnam was a wonderful experience! Saw Dr. Green regarding my top right molar that has a huge old filling. It started chipping since I’m a clencher and heavy grinder. He was amazing with fixing my tooth.

Obviously very professional but not in a stuffy way. They really go out of the way to make you feel comfortable. They have all sorts of other cute things there too to make you feel like you’re at home (they give away flavoured chapstick!)
I feel well taken care of. The doctors talk one on one with you and not just a quick in and out, they really make sure you know what they’re talking about and don’t leave all the work to the obviously well trained assistants.
