Oceanside Community Church

When my husband and I moved to Qualicum Beach in 2017, Oceanside Community Church was the first church I visited. I knew immediately after my first visit that this was the church for me. The staff and congregation were very friendly and welcoming. After 6 years of attending this church I can also add caring, encouraging and supportive to describe this community of believers.

The word is spoken here with the move of the Holy Spirit The pastors are very gifted of God. Family oriented with many new comers.
Staff are very caring and supportive here, they sent me roses after my mom's passing recently.
I courage people to come and visit our church and find out what the Holy Spirit is doing in our midst. We have a great worship team that brings comfort and joy to anyone that needs to be encouraged by bringing God's love and healing into your life

Although we are currently serving at the Salvation Army, Oceanside has had a big piece of my heart over the years. It's a great place to fellowship and a tremendous resource to assist in one's faith journey; the music, teaching and sharing is surely Christ centered.

I have been attending Oceanside Community Church for approximately one year now. I felt warmly welcomed the first day I entered through the front doors. I have connected with many people in the congregation since that first day and I have felt loved and accepted ever since. I love the pastors and appreciate very much all the sermons I've heard to date. I love the worship pastor and his vibrant and thoughtful worship style. I also appreciate the fact that Oceanside Community Church cares deeply about reaching out to the local community and also supports various ministries far and wide. I love being part of this church community and I'm committed to attending, serving and participating in whatever way God so desires.

I remember the first day I attended a service at Oceanside Community Church back in January 2022. I was going through a difficult season in my life and just needed a place to come and hear Gods word and feel his presence. To simply sit and be still. It had been a while since I had entered a church and was not sure if I would feel at home here, feel that sense of belonging, accepted. I had promised myself I would give it 6 Sundays to decide if this was a place for me. On my 2nd Sunday I entered the building and a number of people welcomed me by name, I could not believe it. I was really touched by this. Well as the weeks went on I was just continually amazed by the friendliness, acceptance and hospitality of the congregation. I feel this is a place where no matter who you are, what your story is, where you are on your faith journey, you are welcomed in with open arms.

I have found a place I belong, maybe you will too.

Ocean Side Church may not stand out for its architecture or history, but it shines with its supportive community. The people here are incredibly welcoming, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere. Services are engaging and the church's simple setting adds to a peaceful experience. It's a place of serenity and community spirit—a solid 5-star experience for its great environment and supportive congregation.

This is an amazing church. They are so welcoming. I felt like a part of their church family the moment I stepped through the door.

We started attending Oceanside Community Church in April, 2023. Right away we knew it was the church for us! The people are very welcoming, the worship music is lively and meaningful, and the sermons are engaging and based soundly on the Bible. We're seniors, but we love that there are lots of young families in the church.

Great place to eat is Amrikko's Indian Food, in Parksville, amazing and very affordable.

I started going here 3 years ago from reviews and now it's my turn to get someone here from my review. This church is the best place ever whether I know the people or not it's the most welcoming community with such great people, what they teach and preach is also very good with amazing stories about how God always comes out on top. I go to the youth group on Tuesdays and it's always very fun and engaging. 100/10 my favorite church

Still, Great music and sharing of a living God. I am amazed that as the church has grown so has the love for our community. In a world that has many sketchy 'truths' it is refreshing to hear God's truth spoken here.

Such a loving and caring community. The kids program is amazing and provides a safe space for all the children. The services are always applicable to daily life. People of all ages, backgrounds, and life experiences are certain to feel welcomed.

Oceanside COMMUNITY Church: warm, welcoming, family friendly, open arms to all people of all ages and cultures, variety of uplifting praise music, excellent sermons relevent to all times yet equally relevant to today's world, and most NOTEABLY, the Oceanside Community Church is constantly abounding with the filling of the Holy Spirit. One may arrive empty, but leaves full. Whether you are in need of the Spirit, or already full of the Spirit, there will be a seat waiting for you. What are you waiting for, come on in!

We moved to Parksville during Covid, and Oceanside was the first church we attended after the lockdown. There was no need to search further; it was clear it was the church for us. There is something for all ages, from the very young to teenagers to grandparents.
Teachings are true to the bible and there are wonderful groups to study together. The following photo of us is with the little hedgehog ‘guest’ taken after one of the Life Group studies.
