Ofra is incredibly warm and friendly. The food is incredible, authentic Israeli cuisine (and that's coming from someone who just got back from a year in Israel!) I got the sabich pita with limonana (mint lemonade). It was perfect! Highly recommend, will definitely be coming back.

Ofra’s kitchen is hidden little gem at busy Denman St. Fantastic meditation Israeli restaurant offering fresh and delicious food options, mostly vegetarian and vegan. The owner - Ofra is very friendly and accommodating, looking after each customer and providing invaluable advice on food options. Several solid options such as falafel and hummus, but also few new takes on some popular dishes such as falafel burger. Several options of traditional dish Shakshuka comes with eggs, but you can request egg free vegan option with cheakpeas and spinach. Shawarma on plate was a good and very tasty and filling option. Not many tables inside, but that makes atmosphere really unique especially with some Mediterranean music playing. Thank you once again Ofra and can’t wait to come back!

This place is an amazing experience! The thing that makes it so wonderful is your host, chef, owner and new friend Ofra. She's one of those people that is 100% in the right place and doing the right thing.
Her hospitality is amazing. She made friends with everyone that arrived, or was already friends with them.
The food is simple, honest and delightful. The food is all vegan friendly, making it a must visit for vegans and vegetarians.
The restaurant itself is a little run down, but managed to be homey with it!
Pay Ofra a visit for lunch or dinner, she's a Vancouver gem!

Became a regular here. Just a random find. The hummus, falafels and pitas are mount watering. Along with the positively loving attitude of the lady who runs this place, I feel welcomed and enjoy my time here

Delighted and enchanted! Ofra's kitchen was a wonderful restaurant to visit and spend time with Ofra in her kitchen. Delicious Israeli dishes and a baklava that truly hits the spot, just like it should be.

It's a small family owned cozy restaurant. I ordered the Greek shaksukha and love it. They serve organic eggs.

I think this place is a hidden gem of Vancouver. Take the time and stop by if you are in the mood for some Israeli food or just something uniquely part of Vancouver.

Excellent food if you are looking for Vegetarian or vegetable rich dishes. Lentil soup was tasty, and the salads fresh and well spiced. We decided to order several dishes to share and topped it off with a delicious Turkish coffee.
Will be back next time we come to Vancouver

What a beautiful lady, her energy is welcoming. The food is made with love. Will be back. Pay with cash if you can.

Hands down the best falafel in a pita in all of Vancouver. The falafel balls are made to order, the toppings (salads) are not the usual chopped lettuce and tomatoes you find at other places. The salads are fresh and come in an array of styles.

The hummus is fresh and seasoned perfectly with just the right ratios of lemon and garlic and tahini form creamy smoothness.

And the pita bread. Oh, the pita bread! Soft, pillowy, warm and flavorful. This Isn’t the dry and thin product you’ve come to expect at, say a donair place. This alone could set it apart from every other Mediterranean restaurant.

I am not a Vegetarian and I love everything she serves. These truly are the best Falafels in town and you have to try the Eggplant dish!

This is clearly a gem eatery with authentic Israeli vegan food. I had the Falafel in Pita and it was a symphony of flavor with divine textures and freshness! My husband had the Simple Shakshuka (fire) and it too was packed with fresh ingredients and flavor! Service was delightful and safety protocols followed. I'd love to keep this place a secret but it MUST be enjoyed by many. Five gold stars earned indeed!

I’m generally not a falafel guy myself, but tried this restaurant blindly today, based entirely on it being the highest rated place nearby. The food was phenomenal. I had the falafel pita, and the falafel was crispy and flavourful, had tons of fresh veggies, and some magic sauce to tie it all together. If you are reading this review and are on the fence about trying this place, don’t over-think it. Give it a go! A+, from a (previously) non-falafel guy.

Ofra is so lovely! The falafel pitta wraps are amazing! 100% vegetarian! She has labeled everything on the menu so you know it's vegan! The baklava is also great!

Ofra is not only a hospitable and warm person but her food quality level is pure love and god-sent. Her falafels are truly unmatched and I’ve eaten a lot of falafels in this city (not too many good ones either). If you haven’t eaten here, you are truly missing out on an amazing experience

Please try the stuffed eggplant, I took one bite and audibly gasped, it was that good. And of course the service is incredible. The woman at the front (Ofra I presume?) is truly a gem — got a great sense of humour! Such a great spot!

I've been there a few times now and let me tell you, the food is so fresh, healthy and delicious, and you can really tell that the owners put a lot of care into their business. It is owned by the loveliest people, who go above and beyond. I love coming here whenever I am near Denman!

Finally got to meet this lovely woman and enjoy her delicious good. We had the falafel platter and healing soup. They are so tasty. I also picked up some dessert but too full to try it right now. Good food, generous portions.

I ordered what Ofra recommended, and what she gave me was easily one of the best falafel in town. Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and tender on the inside. The vegetables in the pita were crisp and lush, and the hummus was satisfying and aromatic.

When I get the chance, i'll definitely visit again.

Ofra's kitchen is a must for me everytime I go to Vancouver. Very authentic! The greek shakshuka is heavenly, and the hummus is delicious. And of course, Ofra is a sweetheart.

Ofra's food feeds the body, heart and soul. I've come here two nights in row. I had the vegan pita, healing soup, sahib pita and the malabi. Her restaurant is a warm and welcoming place to recharge/unwind when the world feels a little dark. I'll be back. Thanks Ofra.:)

Incredible, fresh tasting food. Even the hummus has a depth of flavor I haven’t experienced before. Definitely come, you won’t regret! Gave me a free Baklava for International Women’s Day.

Recommend the falafel plate and especially the Kubbe in Shakshuka on Sundays.

We heard about Ofra's Kitchen and had to check it for ourselves. We went there today and we are glad we did. Hands down the best hummus place in Vancouver. Ofra is great, attentive and loving. Finally, the taste of home and in a cosy set up. Right here and within reach. The Falafel balls throw me down memory lane, the pickles were to die for and the Shakshuka was just right. Put some of the mouth-watering spice and the fresh warm Pita bread and there you have it. Haven on a plate. We finished with the cinnamon topped Malabi. The only problem we had, was that we couldn't sample the whole menu. The dishes are so big, our bellies ran out of room. We will have to go there again to sample other dishes. And then again, and again, and.well, you get it, this will never end. Love at first sight.

I have been a regular here at Ofra's Kitchen ever since I had Hummus Fungi (highly recommended) for the first time. The attached picture is Malabi, Middle Eastern dessert. So yummy.

My boyfriend, two friends from Montreal, and I stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant while searching for a bite of lunch. So glad we did! The food was delicious and the service from the owner was impeccable. We felt like we were dining in someone's private kitchen, it was personable and so tasty. Thank you!

I know Ofra's cooking for years and it is the BEST! We had soup, salads, Shakshuka with warm fluffy Pita bread and Hummus with Falafel! Yummy! Such a great place with good music and friendly staff, we really enjoyed! My son (4yo) said that everytime I take him to eat out, we should go to Ofra's Kitchen:)

Amazing middle Eastern vegetarian food, the humus is honestly the best in town, I wanted to take a picture of it but I ate it so fast I forgot to? So you'll have to see/taste it for your selves. Falafel is amazing too, their pita bread is shipped especially for them and you cannot find it anywhere, you can actually fill your pita bread with food! Just an over all great atmosphere and very good place and freshly made food that same day! The owner is supper friendly as well and will take extra attention to make you feel comfortable and invited.

My wife and I celebrated a delicious anniversary at Ofra's Kitchen. Ofra made us feel like we were treasured guests in her homey kitchen. We were so immersed in the Hummus Fungi – the silkiest hummus ever, with sautéed mushrooms – and Greek Shakshuka that I forgot to take any photos. I only remembered in time for the yummy Malabi dessert. We will be back!
