I don't think you fully understand what I wrote. The issue being is that double-checking what kind of leak it was then book a date would have resulted in less problem then just booking a date and then not able to fulfill customer requests. The key issue I had was with the assumption that was made. I totally understand that the shop is quite busy during this time of year, and was actually NOT expecting to be booked an appointment right away. How is one meant to feel when one loses hundreds of dollars to adjust his schedule to honour an appointment and only to be told when showed up for the said appointment that it was his fault to not be clear when making the appointnment? It was about accuracy vs expediency; a quick email or text to check with me as to what kind of leak I was talking about would have made the situation a whole lot better. All in all, I feel it is the duty of the professionals to make sure before committing to an appointment and not commit to an appointment then tell the customer that they are not able to help when the customer shows up.

As a side note: Business owners need to realize that the "mistakes were made because we were busy" excuse does not exactly help the situation; it's actually borderline insulting, beucase who isn't busy nowadays? So, does that mean the business's time is important, while the customers' time is not?

Been coming here for years and was quite disappointed when I showed up for my appointment, and was informed that they don't have a lift for me to check the oil leak. They said that they ASSUMED that it was an air leak of the tire because I mentioned that I ran over some potholes. It may be a reasonable assumption, but it's their professional duty to double check to make sure with the customers as people like me may not know the necessary lingo or may have missed certain details. They really should never "assume" things. They mentioned rescheduling, but it was already difficult for me to find today to come for my appointment. I basically had to drop everything to attend the appointment, as someone who works 6 days a week. All in all, quite disappointed.

Brought in my 13 inch wide brand new forged wheels for my Viper, had Samson personally mount my 355-30-19's, about $15k worth of wheels. He used his touchless system and they came out perfect, without a scratch or mark. I was so relieved. Samson, you are the BEST!

Great place that gave Me a tuneup and talked to me about some other tuneups needed after some huge travels. Great service

Unfortunately, we had a flat tire Saturday morning. We needed to get this repaired so we called BCAA to put on the spare tire. Great guy who helped us with BCAA. Our car was overdue for a set of tires. I shopped around and saw that OK tires was open. I spoke with Mr. Samson Huang, who is the Owner/Manager. I told him about our situation and he said because he is concerned about us riding on a spare tire, he said to come over and drop off our car. He said that Unfortunately BC Hydro, our electric company, was servicing the area and had to cut off the electricity to the repair shop but Mr. Huang said if the electricity comes back on, he will do his best to get our new tires on. Worst case scenario, we could get our car back on Monday. I was pleasantly surprised that Mr. Huang and his Assistant Manager, Mr. John Wu, I'm sorry if I didn't get that right, was so very accommodating. They messaged me and told me the car was ready for pickup. So happy to get the car back so early. That exceeded our expectations. I will most definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for automotive repair services. Thank you to Mr. Huang and his team

I had a punctured runflat tire I wanted replaced but Samson assured me that it can simply be repaired. He was right, the repaired tire is as good as new. Honest, efficient and courteous service. I won't hesitate returning to them in the future.

The starter in my trustworthy Civic started to fail and my usual mechanic was unavailable. It was a long weekend so I called around. My wife is a nurse with a stressful job and she relies on this car to get her to the hospital reliably. I found OK Tire based on other positive reviews. With the name of the business, I thought OK Tire was focused only on tires and I would not have called them if the reviews were not strong. I spoke with Samson and immediately knew I found my next go-to mechanic.
Rarely do find a mechanic who sets the expectations properly, provides honest and direct advice and most importantly DELIVERS on promises. I’ve been around mechnics my whole life (Family, Friends, etc.). I am very familiar with costs, OEM parts and do my own repairs when time allows. Samson is a rare breed of mechanic.

I have never written a review, but was so impressed with the service I had to write this one to support this fantastic shop even with over 150+ reviews he has.

This is an amazing store with nice, skilled and helpful staff. Got tires replaced here recently with zero issues, regardless of how busy a typical day this location can get. About four years ago I had a flat tire just before going to work, the staff here changed my spare tire and helped me back on the road within minutes, free of charge. Although the tires were replaced somewhere else at that time, their quality work and courtesy of customer service gave me a very good impression. I am glad the store survived the pandemic time and their team has the consistency of great services as expected.

Went in for tire change, only to be told that the nail could not be fixed and would have to buy new tires. I went to Midas and they promptly plugged the nail hole and went elsewhere to install tires

My go to mechanic for all my Honda Odyssey needs. The owner Samson is the best. Helpful, honest really knows his Honda's. If you have a Honda especially an Odyssey this is the place to bring it in.

Found a flat tire on my wife's car Saturday morning. Used a battery powered pump to refill the tire.
Called OK tire and they took care of the car the same day. The only problem was that they were so busy they couldn't get to it until late in the day.
I think they were busy because they do good work for a reasonable price.

Samson and his team are the best mechanics I have dealt with. Very honest, doesn't push you to get extra things done (they told me about a problem but didn't force to come back or to book an appointment right away). Service is always friendly and I already got my whole family to come her for their oil change!

This was my first time getting an oil change and transmission fluid change, as I've never owned a car before, and I don't know much about vehicles. The staff came up to me right away and offered me coffee or water, which is a great idea as it's nice to have if waiting for your turn.

Service was fine no complaints but nothing special, I asked about prices for torquing the lugs on my car, it took me 10 minutes for the man I was talking to to understand what that even meant, once he understood he then said it would be 55$ for a 3 minute job.later I went over to my local mechanic and they just did it for free. In my opinion ok tire lacks the customer service for a 5 star review

If you're looking for wheels and or tires I definitely recommend you try these guys first! Honest and upfront they'll give you what I consider to be great tires at a good value. Website I didn't love, but I'm just about due and they'll be getting a visit from me shortly.

After seeing the good reviews, I was excited to have my tires switched over at OK Tire. However, Samson quoted me $40 higher per tire for the same service that Kaltire also provides. ($50 per tire for a tire changeover at OK Tire vs. $10 per tire for a tire changeover at Kaltire. The quote I got from OK Tire is definitely too expensive for me, especially during this time.

Driver beware.

I recently brought my vehicle here for the out of province inspection. They forgot about my appointment, and tried to reschedule it when I arrived on time. After I had confirmed over the phone the day prior, and the week before when I first made the appointment.

The car failed the inspection. It's a 2013. I was expecting a few repairs.

This is where things get shady. The manager I was dealing with brings over an iPad. Opens the pictures, scrolls for a while and opens a random folder.
Then proceeds to show me photographs of random parts claiming it was my vehicle and showing me close ups of damage. In one of the photos the vehicle had blue paint, mine car is grey.
When I asked if I could see the time the photos were taken the manager became extremely defensive and refused. Proceeded to call me confrontational and rude, and insisted that I just need to trust him.

I paid for the inspection and took my car to a different provincially certified auto repair shop. They couldn't find any of the damage that OKTire claimed my vehicle had.

This OKtire location is untrustworthy at best. If you bring your vehicle here get a second opinion. In my experience they will try to trick you into repairs and upgrades you do not need.

Highly recommend this place. Sam is an experienced and honest business man. He helped us identified a safety issue on our car that we brought from Nova Scotia to BC. He didn't make money from our business though.
I also heard him giving professional advice to other customers. He didn't recommend a customer to go with an expensive option, but suggested him to buy tires that better fit his car. Thank you Sam for your kind help.

My coworker has always raved about this place and so when I needed some work done I decided to try them out. I am so glad I did. I am very impressed. Samson is very honest, does a great job and is a great guy who cares about his customers. He actually called me a couple of days after he fixed my car to ask me how the car its running. I am so lucky that my friend recommended Samson and the OK Tire team when I was having issues with my car and looking for a new mechanic. On my first phone call to him I explained the issue my car was having and instead of charging me hundreds of dollars to bring it in, he actually told me how to fix my car for free from watching a YouTube video! (And it worked!) After that I was convinced that this will be the place I will be bringing my car from now on. He is extremely knowledgeable and professional. Another time a warning light came on in my car and I dropped by without an appointment where he was able to fix it in a few minutes and did not even charge me! Samson has saved me literally thousands of dollars by being honest and only fixing the things that are necessary to make your car safe to drive. It's very rare to find a mechanic like this. I will not take my car anywhere else.

I got my secondary air pump replaced last week and I was very impressed that I could get my car back in less than three hours. When I picked up my car, Samson, the owner, pointed out the issue of my tires losing air. He also pumped in air into the tires to ensure that it is safe to drive. I will definitely return because of the company’s reliable, effective and friendly service.

Finally, I found a place to service my vehicle where I don't feel like I'm getting ripped off. For years, I serviced my vehicle at Signature Mazda and every time I went there (even for a simple oil change), they tried to upsell me on services I didn't need BEFORE even seeing my car. That place is full of nothing but con artists.

I first found out about OK Tire at Minoru in Richmond when I was in desperate need of new tires (after a puncture). I called around and got the run-around from everyone, except Samson at OK Tire. When I spoke with him on the phone, he offered great advice and quick help for my situation. I was able to get new tires right away at a good price (including a rebate). I found out at that time that they not only sold tires but offered full auto maintenance services as well.so decided to try them out for that when my car was due for it's next servicing.

I have been there now twice for servicing since buying the tires, and will continue to go there as the service has been excellent. Samson and his mechanics offer great, honest service at a reasonable cost.and they don't try to upsell you on costly, unneeded service.

It's hard to find a good honest mechanic, so I am glad I finally did! I have already recommended him to a friend who recently bought new tires there.

A friend recommended OK Tire richmond to get all weather tire 3 years ago. A few days ago the same car had some loud noise along the exhaust. They checked the car today and said this part needs to be replaced even given me a printout. Since it would cause more to have them replaced the part, they suggested any muffler shop. They did the inspection free of charge inspite knowing a $50 charge in a prior email. For someone whose not a car guy, a shop like this is hard to find. I will definitely go back here for my next maintenance or repair.

My Landrover (discovery) had deflated tires and I didn’t want to go all the way to DT to the store so I walked in to OK tire Richmond. The manager told me to come back in thirty minutes. When I went back, they pumped the tires for me, free of charge!

It was a super enjoyable service. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

We are an engineering firm of Cathay pacific airways in YVR. We have a fleet of work vehicles and a big stepvan. We always have worn out tires from small radius Turning on airport apron and heavy equipment loading. We tried multiple tire service providers like K** tire, C***di** tire.etc and non of them is up to OK tire standards in service follow ups and communications. Samson never let us down. Rates are competitive and their selection of tires are high quality. Will refer my personal friends and family to get tires services here!

Ever since I was young, my family has always used this OK Tire. Samson has always been a kind, and helpful owner, from the smallest things to the biggest car issues he will always be able to fix it. Wonderful experience. The Staff was very helpful and accommodating when I had to push my appointment back a day.
