I put an inquiry onto the site and within 10 minutes I got a callback. The gentleman was kind, informative, and honest. Didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t need, which I appreciated. I would definitely reach out again for any pest control issues.

We had a problem with rats in our attic. Luke from Old Island Pest Control came to the house and identified where the rats were getting in. He set a series of traps, and came back several times to empty them and check on things. He also sealed up the access point. We were very pleased with Luke’s work, and are very happy to report that we are now rat free!

Use at your own risk. I had to take this company to small claims court, due to the fact that their employee spilled ant bait all over my apartment. Old Island Pest Control has refused to accept responsibility for this and continually denies any wrong doing, just like most of their responses to poor reviews (big surprise there).

Great company. Only seems to employ hyper competent people who are always super friendly. Incredibly thorough and professional. Couldn't recommend them enough. My place of employment uses and recommends them as well. Sabra was fantastic, and was very kind about letting my little one follow them around asking questions, thanks again to them and their help!

This company charges way more money than any other company in town. $700 for 5 minutes worth of work and still have an extreme amount of bugs in my house. Don’t waste your time, they aren’t even apologetic or willing to work with you. Very disappointed in this company and service.

New to the area and had a problem with sugar ants this spring. Was very happy with the service; knowledgeable, prompt, responsive and courteous.
It was a tad pricey, but they bill for the service rather than the application, which means they do a two week follow up and 60 day guarantee.
Baiting was highly effective. Only 48 hrs later and I haven't seen any more ants.

Previously we used another company out of Victoria and they did not resolve our Rodent issue after several visits, totally incompetent. This time we called Old island and they sent their tech Anthony who resolved our issue within 5 minutes. Very, very knowledgeable. It was an entrance way into our crawl space that was a 4 inches x 6 inches that was not closed off by the previous Company.
If you want results use this company they are the best in Victoria

Service was great! The Technician (Chad) was always on time for the appointments. Was very personable and easy to talk to. Definitely knows what he is talking about and it's nice to see someone who enjoys their job. He was able to pinpoint the likely entry point which was missed by the previous company. He covered it with a heavy mesh until we were able to buy a replacement piece. He did not try and sign me up for any extra services unless he thought they were necessary. While in the process of de-cluttering and cleaning the shed out, I discovered a wasp nest being built on the inside of the door. Old Island Pest Control responded promptly and efficiently to my request for help, while being conscious of the environmental impact of the intervention.

Came to do an inspection because I was freaking out about what kind of insect was biting me, they were kind and did a thorough investigation and eased my anxiety. Very pleasant, clear and prompt communication. Definitely will recommend others for their service.

He provided useful behavioral information and great advice on prevention of rodent return visits. We have sealed the offending entry point and chuckled at his parting comment: "Stop feeding the ducks, squirrels and crows and you won't have this problem next year! " Great service! I called Old Island Pest control to help me get rid of the rats in my garage. They charged me $280 for 2 visits but I canceled the follow up visit because they hadn't caught a single rat. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because they did refund me $80 for the canceled follow up visit.

They didn't seem to have a clear strategy on how to get rid of the rats, the technician that came to my place recommended that I seal off the entry points so they couldn't come and go but when I phoned and talked to the manager he told me that I shouldn't seal it up. Basically the technician scattered a few traps around and then gave me the bill, I paid $200 for about 20 mins of his time and a handful of traps that I could easily have put out myself.
I'm right back where I was before calling them so I feel like I got very little value for my money.

They were prompt in scheduling our carpenter ant treatment within 3 days of calling them. The technician Joey was amazing, professional, thorough, informative and most helpful. His service was exceptional and good service is so hard to find now adays. He really was wonderful. We will be sure to recommend Joey and Old Island Pest Control to all our friends and family. Luke was very courteous and professional and took care of our odorous ant problem after just one visit. We tried multiple treatments ourselves that were ineffective and we saw results within about 24 hours of the treatment applied by Luke. The price was very reasonable compared to a quote we received from another local company and Old Island Pest Control responded very quickly to our request for assistance.

After our second service out of 3 total, I called to request a phone call before the third and final service. This was explained as a warning to move items out of the way if necessary. The person I talked to was not able to confirm that we even had a third service pending. I left my phone number and was told a note regarding a phone call warning was added to our file. The next correspondence from this company was telling us they completed the service. No notice! How can we even confirm the service was done? Not happy.

They take the time to listen to your concerns and come up with a plan to help. I appreciate their friendly approach and availability via email/text. I highly recommend this company if you have any pest issues you are needing help with.

We had carpenter ants in our siding. Old Island were prompt with making appointments, showed up on time, seemed knowledgeable about the ants. The treatment was effective and they came back a month later for a follow up treatment to ensure they stayed gone. We thought they were pricey but were very pleased with results. Would recommend them.

From the moment of total panic - on a Sunday - and getting an answer to my phonecall followed up by a visit the following morning I can't say what relief this company gave me. The problem diagnosed on the original phonemail so I slept that night and Luke coming and taking care of everything and explaining it all is 5 star treatment the whole way. This is the second time that we have used Old Island Pest Control and are very happy with their services. We had a few mice in the house in 2016 and we haven’t had any mice since then. We had to call this year (2020) as we were experiencing an ant problem in our kitchen. We spoke to the receptionist whom was very professional and told us the highest cost, knowing that without an evaluation she wasn’t sure what the technician would recommend. We are especially happy with their technician/service employee Anthony as he gave us an estimate which was less than expected (knowing that the ants were not an infestation) and gave us excellent information and advice on keeping the ants out.
We are very happy with their service and would highly recommend Old Island Pest Control!
