I was charged $300 to replace a claw on a ring, there was sloppy solder everwhere. Never again. Also the owner is rude rude rude.

We went in to exchange some gold flakes, this process was handled proficiently and we feel we got fair value. Decided to snoop at the rings as we had wanted to get a ring for me to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The style I thought I wanted, I quickly realized did not go with my existing ring. The team quickly took over and were so amazing at finding me a style that worked perfectly. I was completely overwhelmed when my idea “failed” and they rescued me. The overall experience was amazing, great prices, great staff, not pushy, goldsmith got my ring sized in a day…. All around amazing experience and I would highly recommend for your selling and acquiring of jewelry. Thanks Old’n’Gold - I will absolutely return!

This is one of my favourite stores in Victoria. I've been to buy and to sell and each time I feel confidence that I have made a good deal. I trust that Brian and other staff know their stuff. They are professional and friendly as well. In short: Any shopper can find great value here, Any seller of a family treasure can rest assured of getting the best price.

The store itself is spacious and inviting, a surprise based on the rather lackluster exterior appearance.rather like stepping back in time to an earlier era when most jewelry stores were large and elegant.

We went in to sell some gold and silver items that had surfaced after a recent move, a lot of things belonging to my mom that I no longer need. Most were unsaleable silver as plated rather than sterling, in spite of their age. We were able to sell a few jewelry items though. Hard to know if prices were fair, I guess that comes down to the overall impression of any company you interact with. Hopefully we weren't ripped off.

There was an older lady at front of store (don't have her name) who was very friendly. Other than that, there was no one else who made a memorable impression.

I had a long time, absolutely wonderful jeweler back in Regina who is always there in mind, by comparison. Perhaps it's too much to expect nowadays, but he made the whole world of gems, precious metals, jewelry making.a fascinating topic. I miss that. I didn't get that friendly vibe overall from this shop but we got done what we went there for, nothing more.

This is a lovely store that hides many a treasure. I've bought a good half-dozen rings for my wife here, and I've had nothing but the best service, very quick sizing and cleaning, and an overall professional attitude, every time. Every time I'm in Victoria and I visit the store, I (let alone my wife—who happens to be a jeweller) am enthralled by the selection and variety of the items in the display cases.

Two minor caveats: This store deals in vintage rings and jewelry, so it's up to the buyer to find out as much as possible about the item in question. In addition, if you love an item, make sure that you put a deposit down right away—most items move fast!

Several women in my family own a particular necklace that their jeweler no longer carries and I wanted one so much. After searching for it, I finally found it online at Old N Gold! I contacted them and explained that I don't live in Canada. They went above and beyond to help me purchase it and have it shipped. It is now my favorite piece of jewelry! It is better than described. Thank you to the owner, Laura M.and Craig to make it happen. My husband believes, "Happy wife, Happy life", mission accomplished! (My husband got the chocolate!)

I was nervous coming in to figure out what to do with some very expensive but damaged diamond earrings that needed repair. Sarah was a Gem! She helped me figure out some options as i really had no idea what do do. I appreciated her going out of her way to help me with the best options. Absolutely zero pressure to use their goldsmith.
While I was there, I also traded in some old damaged gold jewellery for cash and dealt with a very professional and pleasant man. I felt zero pressure and overall and the staff vibe was really great. I will be back to do business with them.

The service could not have been better. Went in to see what some old jewellery was worth, having never done anything like that before, and we ended up being helped out by the owner, Craig. If there is a nicer, friendlier person in Victoria, then we are yet to meet them. Craig was very thorough, trustworthy and transparent in his valuation and even went above and beyond by cleaning the jewellery that he couldn't take. Would highly recommend Olde N Gold.

I’m sure that this place does amazing quality work but I feel that they might over estimate the value of their labour particularly when it comes to straight forward jobs. My gold earring had a broken clasp and I was told it would be around $100. ”probably not worth fixing because I could buy a new pair”. Not an option as these have sentimental value. I got estimates at 3 other places for $50 and another just around the corner for $20. Decided to take a chance on the latter and he did a fantastic job, only one day turn around and they are as good as new. So moral of the story.always good to get a second or third opinion!

I needed a ring resized down from a 7 to a 4-3/4 and I am beyond happy with their work! I was a little concerned that my ring would look different due to the design but I was wrong. The ring fits perfectly and there is no way to tell that it was resized at all. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and take pride in their work. 100% Recommended!

I have been in your store a few times and thought that I was in over my head pretty classy place and way out of my price range. I went into see if they could fix my necklace. And one of their salespeople (Laura). Fixed it at no charge, explained to me how people save money on jewelry there. I'll let all my friends and family know about your store. I found O&G when I was looking to sell some gold jewelry and was treated very well. Now, a few years down the road and I’m buying jewelry. Returned to O&G and was treated extremely well. We have talked to Paul by phone twice and visited Old 'N' Gold today. Paul was incredibly helpful in assisting us with some estate jewellery and spent a great deal of time explaining how each item would be valued. My husband and I truly appreciated all of the advice that Paul gave us and we will be back when the time comes to purchase jewellery. Definitely a five star experience!

The way the guy treated me was rushed. I had alot of coins and 1st WW stuff, buttons and jewelry. I know I left a pkg.w/a chain blk onyx denied it but I know it was there going back to see if he's got it. I feel he ripped me off. Don't feel he's trust worthy.seller beware. I know what I had after visiting a coin dealer he confirmed it. I was burned!
